Hi Andrew,

I have purchased and installed your theme as requested. However I have an issue to access to the built-in layouts. Under the page attributes, Template does not appear.

P.S: I have wordpress 3.4, can I upgrade to 3.7?

Hey Fentowhelan,

This issue hasn’t been reported previously; I will take a look at it together with other things (please check your email).

Hi Andrew,

on the home page there is down right the titles and the navigation bar … do you think that it would be possible to have a third button with language : EN & FR (English & French)

as you can see, the links to the differents sites is in the menus … the customer don’t like it

Hey Antoine,

In order to insert a language switch next to the background slider controls, you would need to edit the following theme file:

wp-content/themes/Kabuki/includes/supersized/includes/WPSupersized.php

Hey there,

I’m having some problems with the background images. The slider on the homepage is working. But i can’t figure out how to set the background image on other pages… Hope you have the golden tip!

Hey TenMediaNL,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

To answer your question: one way this could be done is by selecting “Custom dir” from the “Background Slider” box while in the editor mode for the particular page; for each individual background image, create a separate folder inside the “wp-content/uploads/” folder, and point to it from the “Custom dir” tab of the box described above.

Alternatively, you can choose “WP Media Gallery” from the “Background Slider” box while in the editor mode for the particular page; the system will then take the image attached to the page as the background image (you can attach an image by using the “Add Media” button on the editor screen or by uploading the new media in the “Media” menu of the website.

Some additional information and screenshots are available on pages 7 and 8 of the theme manual.

Please let me know if this helps!

Hey Abdrii, thanks for your quick reaction. I will try to work it out. I already installed another plugin which does the same job aswell.

I have another question though. Do you have a tip or code so I can make the ‘footer copyright’ section sticky to the bottom of the website. You see what I mean at this page: http://deluchte.websiteshowroom.nl/nieuws/

I can see that you’ve added an image to the content of the page so that the footer is at the bottom now, but just in case here’s the CSS:

.page-id-107 #footer { position: fixed !important; bottom: 0; }

HY, guys!

I have a problem in Kabuki theme with sidebars. In custom sidebars menu where I must select box available for substitution… there is nothing to select. I this normal or must I define something first. I work with WP 3.8.1.

Hey Andy,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

Please try updating the theme files: I’ve prepared an update which you can download here. Unzip the archive and upload the contained files into the theme folder (/wp-content/themes/Kabuki/), replacing existing files when prompted.

If that does not solve the problem, please let me know!

Hy.

Ok, now I see two boxes for substitution (Sidebar and Footer). But if I create new “Sidebar”, it doesn’t show up in box for substitution. In “Edit page window” I haven’t option to select sidebar I won’t for specific page. There is another new problem. After I upload two new files (admin-style.css, functions.php) my “menu-label>+<” has gone. And logo doesn’t see complete.

You can see page: http://www.globalnalutka.si/wordpress/

THX.

Hey Andy,

I will cover the topics in the same order:

1). There are supposed to be only two replaceable widget areas in Kabuki – the sidebar and the footer; thus these should appear in the box as available for substitution. Any custom sidebars that are created on the right hand side of the “Custom Sidebars” page and modified in “Appearance -> Widgets” section substitute either the sidebar or the footer widget areas.

2). From the code I can see that the dimensions of the logo area have been altered in the “style.css” file – have you made any changes in that one? If not, please provide your admin login and password to support@satoristudio.net (no disclosure guaranteed), and I will troubleshoot further.

Hello,

If you go to your demo site: http://satoristudio.net/themedemo/? and play the Vimeo video full screen, the video and page get cut in half: http://prntscr.com/3b27lm

This is a higher level issue as most users (on my site) only view embedded videos in full screen. Please help asap.

Thanks, Miguel

satoridesign

Hey Miguel,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

I’ve looked into the issue, and it seems to be indeed caused by a bug in the theme’s code; please accept my apologies! To remove it, please download this fixed file, unzip it, and upload the resulting file into the theme folder (/wp-content/themes/Kabuki/), replacing the existing file. Let me know if the fix works!

How can I set the homepage and blog page in this theme?

Default-user

Nevermind, got it.

satoridesign

Hey Seanpilgrim,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

Glad you’ve sorted that one out; just in case anyone else read this comment: the front and blog posts pages in Kabuki are set in a classical WordPress way, i.e. by visiting the “Settings -> Reading” admin section and choosing the options for the “Front page displays” setting.

Should you have other questions or comments about the theme, do not hesitate to contact me!

Hi Andrii

Is Kabuki ready for WP 3.9.2 ?

Best regards Linard

satoridesign

Hey Linard,

yes, Kabuki can be used with 3.9.2; in fact, the Kabuki demo is running on it already ;)

Hi Andrew,

I am about to purchase the theme but I need to be sure I can make a bilingual page with language switch. Is there an easy solution?

Thanks in advance,

Moritz

satoridesign

Hey Moritz,

thank you for expressing interest in my work!

Kabuki does not offer multilingual functionality out-of-the-box, yet the theme does use proper wrapping functions for built-in strings, so any of the third-party multilingual plugins (such as the free Xili Language or premium WPML) should work with it.

In case of additional questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori Studio

Hi Andrii,

I am writing here because I could not register for the support forum.

When I activate or preview Kabuki the website as well as the wordpress admin page go blank. To fix it I have to rename the theme directory. I put

define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘1024M’);

in my wp-config.php. I also tried 2048M and 4096M with the same result. Is there anything else I should try?

Thanks in advance,

Moritz

satoridesign

Hey Moritz,

first of all, thank you for the purchase! My apologies about the forum login, we are working to get it working.

In order to understand what might be causing the problem, I recommend turning on the debugging mode; please open the “wp-config.php file from your main WordPress directory, locate the line:
define('WP_DEBUG', false);
and change it to:
define('WP_DEBUG', true);
More information on this procedure can be found here.

Once you’ve done that, please refresh the page and, if an error message appears, paste it here or send to support@satoristudio.net. I will then troubleshoot further!

Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori Studio
