Hi I have a problem with the Portfolios I have created 2 Sets and a portfolio page with template “Portfolio Grid 4 Columns Filterable” http://thegali.co.il/kakia-test/?page_id=6

when selecting sites in the filter which have 12 elements of this set, it shows 11 in the first page, last row has only 3 elements and the last one is in the next page.

I see. Currently filter option can filter only items which display on current page. So the second page items are not filtered.

Have issues with site performance and hosting provider has added restrictions on the account…because the dynamic construction of stylesheets requires that the server spawn extra php processes on virtually every page load of site. Hosting provider requested that we reach out to the developer of the kakia theme to determine if there is a method for disabling dynamic css.

Please assist.

Hi,

It’s standard Themeforest rule to force developer move all CSS and javascript to dynamic ones so it can be called only when use.

So I can’t change that because it will be against Themeforest standard and this theme won’t be accepted.

FAQ: When I make them translate ans switch the language, the theme still takes the default language.

Homepage: When I set the homepage in the theme settings and switch the language it still takes the default language.

I´m not at the portfolio, but I think thats this will be the same…

I am putting alt tags on the images and they are not showing up in the html code on the kakia theme. Is there an update to fix that or a plugin that will fix that.

If people realized they didnt get the SEO benefit of alt tags they would complain. I didnt know it wasnt working until I used www.feedthebot.com to view alt tag problems. I have not been able to find a plugin that fixes the problem either.

I would have never purchased the theme had I known- that the most Basic SEO for images would be BLOCKED by the theme.

What would it take for you to make the update? Can I pay you? There are no plugins that will solve this problem. Otherwise I will need to change themes and spend a few months developing the websites.

Never mind. I didn’t read the additional instructions about needing to install the LayerSlider WP plugin. I did install and activate but now I am unable to get the import of your sample file to import. I’ve followed your instructions but when I browse to the kakia_sample_layerslider.txt file and click the Import button, nothing happens. How can I get this to import so I have something to work with? I figured out the Layer Slider WP import issue on my own. The .txt file you include with your theme installation needs to be saved as a .json file in order for it to be imported through the plugin. What do you suggest as the recommended width of images for a full width slider?

Thank you. I recommend high resolution image for example 1,400+ in width. However your image will be cropped because every users have different screen resolutions so there is no universal image size which fit all resolutions without cropping.

Changing on skins or Custom Color has no effected on web page (always green). Already enable custom color and fonts in Advanced.

I just ran into a new problem after upgrading to WP4.0 I cleared my cache and a gallery which I have on my main page isn’t displaying anymore. It shows broken images in Chrome (nothing in Firefox).

I’m having an issue with your theme reading a deleted plugin from a demo site that I am putting together. A long time ago, the site was using the ShareThis plugin but that was deactivated and removed over a year ago. I have noticed it seems to be attaching itself to a lot of elements within your theme including slider captions, portfolio items, etc. Have you come across this before? The plugin files are not in the plugin directory. Any suggestions on how to make this stop? Thanks.

Plugins is default Wordpress area and there is no way theme can activated your used plugin. I don’t think this is theme issue, please check your Wordpress installation and plugin.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure. I will have to contact ShareThis directly about the issue. It seems that ShareThis code has been inserted in a Wrapper in the WordPress Site. The code snippet is -

I have looked everywhere in the Wordpress files to find it but have not been able to locate it it anywhere. It’s very strange since the plugin had been deleted from the site a long time ago.

Hello, I have noticed the map on the Contact page template seems to be automatically removed when viewing on mobile devices and the YouTube videos on several pages are not displaying properly on mobile devices. Hi – battling to setup the blog page & I’m not a novice. Is something broken in this theme? I created a ‘Latest News’ page and a ‘Home’ page. In navigation the static page is set to ‘Home’ page and Latest News’ to blog page. They both show the Home page. I’m working offline – can you please advise why? or what I’m doing wrong?

Please unselect post page option in Settings > Reading. To create blog page, when you create a page, select “Blog…” as page template.

Is there a way to link to a specific portfolio through the main menu? I have tried to copy the Permalink from individual portfolios and create a menu link for them as drop downs in the top main menu but it does not work. It says the page does not exist.

Hey there, We had version 1.6.1 installed on a client’s WP, but they no longer had access to the license to update. We have purchased a new license for the client and would like to update to v1.7 but want to make sure we don’t lose all of their settings.

Is there a 1.7 upload file we can access, or is there a way to export the current settings and import after installing a new copy of v1.7?

We already tried this approach on a development site, we lost a lot (most) of the settings and would have to re-create all of the settings for the site. This is prohibitive.

Is there a way we can only update the specific files that are completely necessary and leave the others as they are?

That’s not possible. If you just updated theme files then it can’t be that all of your content are removed because of this. Since all content store in database, not files.
