Thanks so much
I got a ticket now: https://support.truethemes.net/?ticket=unable-to-install-karma-theme-on-windows-azure-wordpress-template
It’s so easy and it’s for free to install a wordpress website on windows azure. It would be really cool if someone of you could spend 5 minutes to reproduce the problem. Just create an wordpress site on windows azure and upload your theme. You will see it crashes!
Thanks in advance.
Thanks so much Sebastian.
Our team is gladly looking into the issue and we’ll respond back to your submitted ticket on the HelpDesk.
Cheers my friend
My 3 colums home page with images shortcodes keeps going crazy when I add image. Is this a hosting issue? Using WPEngine
We’re very happy to help you resolve. We’ll just need to take a closer look behind the scenes to help determine the issue.

Great structure… I have a question about a .png that was found in the download.
I noticed in one of the ( Karma-Wordpress-Theme-Package ) there’s a screen (leftsubnav-dropdownnav.png)
It was found under the following location:
Karma-Wordpress-Theme-Package\2. Artwork\Adobe Fireworks PNG’s\leftsubnav-dropdownnav.png
On the left nav you have what looks like a submenu. How was this done.
See here: http://i.imgur.com/nvvPIr4.jpg?1
How was this done exactly? Shortcode, Template, or sidebar menu selection?
Thanks so much for your kind words my friend.
The navigation items you’ve listed in the screenshot are 3rd-level sub-pages. All 3rd-level sub-pages will automatically be formatted in this fashion when viewed within the Left-Nav or Right-Nav page templates.
Creating 3rd-level pages is done when creating your menu within ‘Appearance > Menus’. A Menu item which is “indented twice” will be displayed as 3rd-level page. (ie. parent page > child page > 3rd-level page)
Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help.
First of all, I want to thank you for the last big update with the responsive behaviour and all other options added. Karma is now one almoust complete theme. I am using it for one year now and did not have problems.
Anyway after the last update I observe some problems and I wanted to ask you what can be done:
1. Exists one problem with the auto-resize of the pictures inserted on a page. They are going under the side bar.
2. The tab shorcode looks like losing the css when displayed on a page.
Now. I want to ask you another 2 questions:
1. Can I replace the normal jQuery slider with a revolution slider inside the home page?
2. Can I make something to center the main logo on my homepage?
This is it. Thanks againe for one great work and for the helpful support.
All the best,
Hey my friend,
Thank you so very much for your kind words. We’re so glad you’re enjoying the Karma theme.
We’re very happy to have a closer look at the issues you’ve described.

I am running a theme i bought from themeforest 2 years ago.
I think it is time to change it I really like Karma but before i buy I have a question.
If i deactivate the old the and install and activate Karma do you think that I will have no design and content issues.
Last time i did that it was nightmare.
I have hundreds of pages and posts and I do not want to loose my content and create the pages and post again.
Do you have a step by step guide what needs to be done in order to change the theme without loosing weeks for fixing different issues with the content?
Thanks so much for your interest in the Karma theme.
When switching between wordpress themes by different authors there will generally always be a bit of “housekeeping cleanup” needed after switching. The amount of cleanup will depend on how different the theme’s are setup to function.
We unfortunately do not have a step-by-step guide since we cannot predict how an old theme is setup, built, file names, etc.
All Wordpress themes have different page templates, different ways of functioning, etc and these items are completely unique to each wordpress theme.
We highly recommend “rebuilding” your website in a new space on your web server so that your current site can remain untouched while you do the cleanup.
If you’d like to send over a link to your current wordpress theme we are very happy to take a closer look at the theme and provide more feedback. Please just note that we cannot actually see how the theme functions, only how it gets rendered in the browser, but we can provide a very educated estimate about whether or not the two themes will be a good fit.
Thanks so much my friend
Hello. I’m wondering if there is a way to add custom items to the utility panel? I have several things I’d like to add.
Are you referring to Karma’s Site Options Panel?
If so, this panel can indeed be updated. Please note that updating it will require an intermediate knowledge of HTML/PHP/WordPress codex.
We’re not currently available for this type of customization work however if you’re in need of coding assistance we have 2 highly trusted partners for all of your Wordpress customization needs. WPQuestions.com and Codeable.io
Please let us know if there’s anything else you can do to help.
I’m not sure what the ‘Site Options Panel’ is. I mean the bar that holds the search form and breadcrumbs. I do have decent knowledge of html and php and would be happy to poke around a bit. If the site options panel is what I describe, what file(s) would I need to affect?
Ah, Apologies my friend, we thought you were referring to the Site Options Panel.
The utility bar functionality is housed within a file named “theme-template-part-tools.php”. This is the file that you would edit in order to make your modifications.
When making hard-coded changes to your theme we always recommend installing the Karma Child Theme and making the changes to that theme. This will ensure that you can upgrade your main Karma theme at any point and you will never lose any of your custom code.
Here’s an article from our KnowlegdeBase outlining more details about Child Themes: https://support.truethemes.net/?knowledgebase=child-themes-explained
You can also do a Google search for “Wordpress Child Themes” and gain a better understanding of this powerful tool.
If you require any assistance with child theme installation, etc please kindly submit your question as a ticket on our secure HelpDesk so that our dedicated support team can further assist you.
Thank you for the info. As a quick queestion, though: I’ve already developed my site in the parent theme. When I install and activate the child theme, will I lose all the site development that I have done or will the child them recognize and honor all of it?
All website content created within Wordpress will remain completely safe. (pages, posts, content, media, site options, etc)
The Child Theme will recognize all of the above info.
The only thing to be done after activating a Child Theme is to “re-save” the Menu Theme Locations. This is located within Wordpress under ‘Appearance > Menus’. You will simply re-choose your menus from the dropdown list and click save.
We hope this is helpful my friend.
Ok. I’ll be dense one last time and then let you be! I’ve installed the child template. However, the file you indicate isn’t listed. It is only listed in the main theme. Please advise.
We’re very happy to provide further details my friend. Please kindly submit your question as a ticket on our secure HelpDesk so that our dedicated support team can further assist you.
Hello, love the theme and am thinking of buying it. I have used WordPress before and have never come across the text under menu items before such as ‘visit homepage’, could you please explain to me how this is done?
Thanks so much for your Karma interest my friend.
The navigation description text is inputted within Wordpress’ built-in ‘Menus’ section. Menu items have a “description” field by default nd this is where you input the text. Super easy and an absolute breeze to add.
This is covered in full detail in the included Karma Training Videos and we’re very happy to lend a hand should you have any questions when building out your site.
Please give us a shout if there’s anything else we can do to assist.
I have never used WordPress but I really like the Karma theme.
I see that you have a pricing table but can I insert a standard table instead? Ie 3 columns x 5 rows. Also can you use plugins with a custom theme?
Thank you so very much for your interest in Karma.
A great Plugin for inserting normal data tables is the WP-Table Reloaded plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-table-reloaded/
This Plugin will enable you to easily insert normal tables anywhere throughout your website.
Please feel free to give us a shout with any further questions.
I love how karma works on every device I try it in – however on android phones in responsive mode there is too much space under the jquery 2 slider – like the transparent image of rays is bumping everything down – is that something that will be fixed in the future?
Also and probably more important – the slider looks small and a bit dated now with all the full screen sliders out there – is there any way to add a full screen slider to the top of the page (or at least full width – edge to edge of browser that shrinks responsively) – would like one where we can choose height – maybe also choose under or behind the header?
Thank you so much for your kind words and feedback.
We will definitely do some further testing for jQuery2 on Android phone to see if we can replicate the spacing issue.
As per the sliders we don’t currently have plans for adding additional sliders to Karma. You might be interested in using a 3rd-party Slider Plugin from CodeCanyon for your custom slider needs: http://codecanyon.net
Just keep in mind…a cool slider will not equal a successful website. Focusing on the Content and Navigation/User Flow will provide better results by leaps and bounds.
Please feel free to give us a shout if there’s anything else at all we can do to help.
Love your theme and really love the great support! Is there a plugin you might recommend that would allow me to create template based landing pages? There is no way that I could possible code something like that on my own.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks so much for the kind words my friend, we’re so glad you’re enjoying everything.

is the side bar nav a “post” pages option or is it just for “pages” ??
Thanks so much for your interest in Karma.
The side navigation can be populated with pages or post categories. Populating with individual posts is currently not a built-in option.
Please give us a shout if there’s anything else we can do to help.
Hi- I’m thinking of buying Karma switching from my 4 yr old Wp theme. My entire site is a blog, with 4 years of posts as opposed to a site with a blog page.
I see that the 3D slider content on the home page can contain posts. But can I set up the home page in Karma so that the section under the 3D slider also contains blog posts instead of static content? I looked through all the videos and it looks like it is static content only. In the demo, the section under (towards bottom of home page) appears to be posts too.
You can see might site at http://newdigitalcafe.com
I’m looking for a responsive, SEO optimized, minimalistic theme with sliders and Karma looks great. I also want to minimize the number of WP widgets since they cause so many issues, and Karma seems to come with a lot of its own, which is nice! But I want to make sure I can make the home page content all post-related.
And if you have any thoughts about my site layout and if it will transfer over well, without actually seeing my WP theme settings, that would be much appreciated.
Thank you so much for your interest in Karma.
We just checked out your current website and provided some notes below.
Please feel free to give us a shout if there’s anything else we can do to help.
- Karma comes with a “latest from the blog” shortcode. This enables you to display recent posts within a variety of places throughout your website. (you can see an example of 3 blog posts being pulled in on this demo page: http://themes.truethemes.net/Karma/homepage-jquery-2-2)
- The Demo also has blog posts within the footer area (as mentioned in your comments) and these are achieved via the shortcode as well.
- The 3D homepage slider has it’s own custom slides and does not actually pull in “blog posts”. (just want to provide this note to ensure all is clear)
- Overall it looks like Karma can be a good fit for your website. Since your website’s content is generally blog posts / blog format, most of your site’s pages will adopt the “Blog Layout”: http://themes.truethemes.net/Karma/blog
We hope this information is helpful my friend.
so right now my blog has a featured slider, which I’ve re-enabled though the slide function is not working today at http://newdigitalcafe.com
Does this mean that you can’t use any slider on the Blog Layout page?
It looks like you can’t have a sidebar on any of the 5 Homepage layouts without careful coding. Just a slider and posts below. So since I’m looking for the right combination of slider, posts, and sidebar on the home page of my blog, can you have any type of slider on the other page layouts like Left Sidebar, Right Sidebar?
Or can you have a slider as your image in a blog post on a Blog Layout page and have it slide the multiple images you put in the post?
We’re truly sorry my friend but it sounds like Karma does not meet the requirements of your website. Image Sliders are currently only available within the various homepage templates. Blog posts do not currently have an option for multiple images within an image slider fashion.
I have a question? My partner and I have tried Karma theme with the license of one of our former partner but We received the following error:
An Appropriate representation of the requested resource / home / wp-admin / themes.php Could not be found on this server.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error Encountered Error while trying to was use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. “
I like to know why this happens when trying to use / wp-admin/themes.php? Siteoptions page =???
Our interez is buying Karma to not have to use our former partner, but we decided to try before you buy.
You can guarantee that when we buy Karma this work correctly?
The error you’ve listed would not occur with the Karma theme. It is related to the actual Wordpress installation and is likely caused by either:
1) a security setting on the web server
2) incomplete Wordpress files.
Our recommendation is to first install a fresh installation of latest version of Wordpress (3.5.1). If the issue still persists it is likely a security error on the web server. (you can download latest wordpress from: www.wordpress.org)
If problem still persists you can contact your web hosting provider or if you are comfortable with editing .htaccess files you can plug the error into Google and find a variety of possible fixes.
Thanks for responding
I tried to modify my. Htaccess to disable mod_security which could be causing the problem, but I had no luck, stand it does not work.
Then I made ??a request to my hosting to disable this mod_security and they indicate that I can move my site to a hosting low security, but this is not a good choice for me.
I tested version 2.7.2 and works perfect Karma does not generate this error, I think some words of Karma module or 3.0.1 can cause the problem?
I have wordpress 3.5.1 installed, I performed a clean install to try again, I optenido the same result.
Your Karma thme is great and I would like to buy it to use on my site so again, but if this problem will be present with a pain in my soul tndre to choose another theme that works perfect.
I understand that security problem is my hosting, but my question is? because Karma does not generate this error 2.7.2 and 3.0.1 if Karma?
Support my friend, I want to buy your theme for my site
Thanks so much for the detailed response.
We’ve not experienced any of the issues you’ve outlined so we still believe it is a server-related issue.
We’ll need to take a closer look behind the scenes and help you to resolve.
Please kindly submit a ticket on our HelpDesk outlining your question and providing our staff with full details so we can investigate and get you all sorted.
how I can create a ticket or register if you do not possess a purchase code? We have not bought your theme because we want to make sure it works well for our site.
We are using the theme of our evidence; former partner, but do not have access to your purchase code.
Thanks for your reply and help friend.
I’ll need to run this by our lead developer to find out what might be causing the issue.
This is not a known issue with the theme so it is likely that we may need temporary login details to log onto the server and help determine the issue.
Please kindly post your email address and we’ll gladly review and discuss further.
thank you very much
can contact me at this email firstname.lastname@example.org
I gladly I can collaborate to work on solving this problem, maybe in the future someone else has it
Thanks so much. We’ve just sent over an email.
One of the main reasons that I purchased the Karma theme was because I thought that Woo was part of the theme. I would like to sell a few items but I read this in the help area. Is there a way that I can add Woo so that I can sell a few items?
It is impossible to do template overriding if your are not a programmer, because you need the programming knowledge to merge Karma Theme’s codes with WooCommerce template codes.
Thanks for your help!
Thank you so much for your Karma purchase.
WooCommerce is indeed fully compatible with Karma. You will simply need to install the free WooCommerce plugin, begin adding your products and Karma will do the rest.
WooCommerce can be downloaded from Wordpress.org:
Template overriding is only needed if you wish to have custom page templates. Here is an article from our HelpDesk outlining instructions for using the WooCommerce template-override functionality: http://bit.ly/YXgdDF
That’s awesome. Thanks for the help and quick replay.
Quick question about the portrait frame.
I know the default modern frame size is:
full width (portrait thumbnail)
I don’t suppose there’s a magical little snippet
that can make this 50% smaller?
Unfortunately not my friend. Very sorry :-/
The header slide works fine when I add more than 1 post to the slider category. However, the testimonial slider isn’t working as a slider. It just lists off the testimonials listed in a box. I have inserted the testimonial shortcode fine. Here is what I’ve inserted at the bottom of the home page:
goes here…[client_name]John Doe, Company Name/client_name
goes here…[client_name]John Doe, Company Name/client_name

i just activated my jetpack plug in in wordpress with the karma them and after signing up for the jet pack login the site went blank. i cannot sign in or see any of the pages. can you please take a look since maybe you can point me in the righ direction. i put countless hours setting up the theme and the thought of having to reinstall WP from scratch makes my want to scream.

My site was ok on iPhone but now it’s not working. Shows text like:
here sis the site: www.cameracompany.net
Thanks so much for sending over the link. We’ve just reviewed the website on iPhone and there appears to be some sort of custom “mobile theme plugin” activated on your website. This plugin is overriding Karma in mobile view and causing the site to render incorrectly.
To fix, simply disable any mobile Plugins that are currently activated on the website and the issue will be resolved.
Should you require any further assistance we’re very happy to take a closer look behind the scenes and assist.

That was indeed the problem. Thanks for the help and quick replay.
