sorry, solved the issue. thanks.
No worries at all we’re glad to hear you’re all sorted.
where are the dummy files located?
Sure thing my friend we’re very happy to assist.
The XML Demo Content is located within the Karma download package.
After downloading from ThemeForest simply unzip the package and dummy content is located within this folder: ‘1. Demo Content’.
Here’s a Training Video outlining complete instructions for installing the demo content: http://vimeopro.com/truethemes/karma-wordpress-theme/video/29412090

Thanks so much
Thanks for the help!
I purchased Karma earliger today, and I have used several hours to get through the Mac-installing procedure of Wordpress via MAMP, then getting a domainname (.no was not possible in Dreamhost, so I had to purchase through One.com), and then finally purchasing a Dreamhost account – and installing Wordpress there. MY lord, so much trouble compared to WIX! I am totally new in the website development business – but I hope it is worth it in the end.
NOW, here´s the real problem: I am at the point of importing Karma into Dreamhost, but after two hours I give up. I have tried to find the solution in different forums, and I have tried several things – including restarting the computer, of course , but nothing works.
I keep getting this error message:
<?xml version=”1.0” encoding=”UTF-8”?><tree ><message type=”ERROR”>move_uploaded_file() [<a href=’function.move-uploaded-file’>function.move-uploaded-file</a>]: Unable to move ’/tmp/php0HIkim’ to ‘data/tmp/php0HIkim’ in /home/webftp_dh/webftp.dreamhost.com/plugins/access.ftp/class.ftpAccessDriver.php (l.182)</message></tree>
I am just a few seconds from going back to Wix…please help me, I love your “Karma” and I want to use it, and learn how to use Wordpress. But after so much fuzz I nearly go crazy…...!
Hope to get some advice from the Karma team.
Thank you from Norway
Hey my friend,
So sorry to hear about all the Wordpress troubles. We truly hope you experience some smooth sailing once you’ve got everything up and running.
The error you’ve listed is related to the web server. We’re not 100% certain for the cause of the error however after doing some Google searching it could perhaps be related to “PHP Safe Mode being turned on”. This is something that will need to be changed on the server level.
The best plan of action is to contact your hosting provider and outline the details of the problems you’re experiencing. They will then be able to determine of anything on the web server needs to be adjusted.
Once the server is all good to go Karma should install nicely without any issues.
If you need any additional assistance after your hosting provider please kindly submit a ticket on our secure HelpDesk and our dedicated support team can gladly assist you.
Thanx – the hosting provider is Dreamhost, supposed to be the best Wordpress hoster – also found the link when I purchased Karma, so I suppose you guys know about it. Well, I finally got to import the Karma Zipfile – I guess the system just needed some time.
BUT – what the heck? AjaXplorer, the webftp in Dreamhost, doesn´t unzip the file??? I started to manually import the files in the theme folder, making new folders in the Ajaxplorer Ftp-server – but after an hour I realized there is 135 folders in the Karma theme! It will take me FOREVER to do it this way every time I make a website!! There HAS to be a simpler way? But HOW?
I just want to start editing my website using Karma, but this really is a pain in the rear end. I really don´t get it!! Hours of troubleshooting doesn´t seem to get me anywhere. If this is the most popular website making solution, I wonder what planet I am on.
I give up and go back to Wix. Too bad I didn´t get to use Karma and Wordpress. :(((((((((
So very sorry to hear so many issues getting Wordpress up and running.
It sounds like the DreamHost web-based file manager is not the greatest option for uploading a wordpress theme.
If Wordpress is installed and running on the server we highly recommend installing Karma from within the Wordpress Dashboard. It’s about a 2 minute upload process and you’ll be all ready to rock.

I’ve been looking at the TrueThemes help files and knowledgebase for menus and navigation and can not find where I can make the theme built-in left & right nav bars have fly-outs (drop downs).
Can this be done?
Hi my friend,
The left and right navigation do not currently have a fly-out menu. These menus can indeed have sub-sections however there is not an animated dropdown built-in by default.
Here is a screenshot to see the rendering of the sub-sections: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/7008416/_screenshots/karma-3rd-level.png
Please feel free to give us a shout if there’s anything else at all we can do to assist.
I know that the sub-sections was shown as your link. What I am looking for is for them to be animated as like the built-in dropdown main menu.
Like a fly-out to the side.
Yes this can indeed be done however it is unfortunately not built into the theme by default. Adding custom code to your theme with the desired functionality will do the trick.

is truethems support all products in themeforest or witch theme truetheme support it
i buy many theme in themeforest but i cant make account in trutetheme
ThemeForest is a marketplace with thousands of authors. For customer support you’ll simply need to reach out to the author which you’ve purchased the product from.
TrueThemes support is only available for TrueThemes products.
Hope this is helpful my friend
I have a couple of questions before purchasing. In the woocommerce section, rather than clicking shop and going straight to all products, could I first arrive at a categories page with an image by each category instead of just a widget at the side displaying separate categories?
Secondly, could I remove the add to cart button but still show the price? Some more expensive items I will promote online though the shop but only take orders in person.
Thank you so much for your interest in Karma.
As per your questions:
1) A landing page is not built into WooCommerce by default however you can indeed create a custom landing page. An example will be to create a page using Karma’s full-width page template. You can then insert lets say 3 columns w/image frames and each image can then link to a specific WooCommerce category.
2) Yes you can indeed do this however by default WooCommerce will not display the price next to the product. For example, in order to replace the Add-to-Cart button with a Read-More button WooCommerce requires that no price be given to the product. You can bypass this by adding the price within the product description page. (so price won’t display until user clicks read-more)
Sorry of this sounds confusing at all. Please let us know if there’s anything else at all we can do to help.
WELL I HAVE TO TELL YOU, I NEVER WRITE IN CAPS, IT’S TOO OBNOXIOUS, HOWEVER THIS TIME I MAKE AN EXCEPTION.
YOU GUYS REALLY ROCK. I HAD QUITE HIGH EXPECTATIONS AND KARMA DID IT FOR ME. KARMA DELIVERED. AFTER ABOUT 15 THEMES OVERT THE PAST 5 YEARS. THIS IS IT. KARMA IS IT. YOUR TEAM IS IT.
As much as the theme is awesome, its support tops the quality of the theme. I am in the service business and know what good customer service is about. Not only the quality of the responses but the sustainability of it all, is what really amazes me. I feel I have gotten so much for so little money. Oh yes, my money’s worth over and over, to the point where I feel like I am taking advantage of the great people over at Karma. One would expect a “you have exceeded your support quota” message by now after all of the questions I have asked. Not at Karma. These guys are always there. Not with a 24-hour response time, but within the hour or a few hours at the most. I can’t believe it. Talking about raising the barre. Waaaaaaay raising the barre.
Also, I never write reviews. But this, I had to do. You guys do great work. You earn every bit of success you have—you do, you really do. I am amazed and envious of your team. I wish I had such people on my team.
Thank you for a great theme and thank you for the even greater team that supports the theme. It makes AAAAAAALLLLLLL of the difference. Believe me I have tried to substitute, with plugins to make it better, but I have come to the conclusion that I can’t. KARMA is perfect, its team is perfect. It is one of those things that is to good to be true. But is it true. You know one of those “one in in a million” type of experiences.
Thanks guys. Really…thanks.
Wow. First off thank you so very much for taking the time to write us a review – we greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

Hi, I have a simple problem. I’ve saw all your training videos. I want a GALLERY (portfolio) + SIDEBAR page. in “Template” I can only choose one of them. so if it’s sidebar then it wont be “portfolio” and vaisa versa
I want a gallery page which has a left sidebar too
Hey there my friend,
Unfortunately a Gallery + Sidebar layout is not currently an available page template in Karma.
You can indeed achieve this layout by using the 2 pages templates to create your own custom page template. Please note that this will require a basic understanding of PHP/CSS/Wordpress coding.
We hope this is helpful my friend.
Hello. I have a question about resizing side nav panels to make it a bit wider. is that possible? because if i have a long name of the menu when i hover over the menu it starts bugging out and the highlghted area is goign crazy because the words that wont fit will jump into new row. its quite annoying. so i guess onyl solution would be to reduce text size (HOW?) or to make the side nav panel a bit wider (HOW?) if possible. thanks for reply
Sure thing my friend – we’re very happy to assist.
We’ll just need to take a closer look at your website so we can see the error in action and provide solution.

i was interested in your both themes, karma and sterling. but i found few things.
karma has more page layout option for sidebar + nav (left n right) + horizontal nav option these are absent in sterling (can you develop in that theme too ?)
2ndly, karma is not cross browser supported. banner size reduces in chrome, and enlarge in firefox.
layout disturbs in several banner styles (jquery, 3d1, 3d2) in firefox.
havnt tested in IE,
where as sterling seems to ok
personaly i like sterling but there are less page layouts as compared to karma!
Thank you so much for your interest in our themes.
We’re very happy to provide more details as per your questions:
1) Karma theme currently has more page templates than Sterling theme. We are always updating our themes and will likely include more templates in Sterling theme during future releases. In the meantime one can custom-code page templates into Sterling theme. (PHP/CSS knowledge required)
2) We’ve just re-tested Karma in Google Chrome and things are running smoothly on our end. Please feel free to email us with more details and we’re very happy to take a closer look at everything. (please include operating system and browser versions). Please email details to us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
We hope this information is helpful my friend.
Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help.
Well I’ve purchased Karma (though it was 10$ high price than regular on themeforest themes, but worth the price)
but now i am not able to find the pagelayout with horizontal nav which i tested on the demo link, and now its gone from the demo site too…
and earlier i counted the page layouts were 20 and now its 16!
2ndly, in chrome maximized (1024 * 786 res) it becomes responsive and reduce the banner size and logo on the top where as same resolution firefox lay out is 100%
dont know why ?
Thank you so much for purchasing the Karma theme my friend.
We’re very happy to help set up your horizontal navigation, point out any page templates you need help finding and resolving any issues your experiencing in Google Chrome.

Hi, your Karma theme looks great however can you add your own colours. I am a designer and the colours are very important as they need to match the style guide so to be able to add my own colours is a must. Other than that I would purchase this theme based on what I have read and it sounds like your support is second to none.
cheers Kinnear – Rex Design Solutions
Thanks so much for your kind words and interest in Karma.

Karma. A responsive theme with responsive support. Too good to be true? Not with TrueThemes.
The Karma Theme is the gold standard. They have all bases covered from short codes to super fast support. I converted my whole site to a responsive one using Karma in one day. It’s all there at your fingertips. Makes you feel like a wizard. And to top it off I heard back from their support people within 5 minutes and the problem (not even their fault) was fixed in 10. Nicholas Boothman Author of How to Make People Like You in 90 Seconds or Less. Karma did exactly that. Thanks.
Thank you so very much for your kind words my friend
It’s been truly a pleasure working with you and we hope to continue working with you in the future.
Can the site logo be change with each page? Like a feature image does in some themes?
Having a different logo on every page is not a built-in feature of the theme.
You can however indeed customize your theme’s code and add in this special functionality. The exact nature of the code customizations will depend on the specific needs of the project.
We’re not currently available for custom coding work however if you’re in need of professional custom coding assistance we’ve got 2 highly trusted partners for all of your Wordpress customization needs. WPQuestions.com and Codeable.io
We hope this is helpful for you my friend.
Transferred the files via Filezilla (2x) and keep getting message on WP site that the style sheet is missing.
Can you advise as to how to correct the problem?
Sure thing Lenore,
It sounds like you likely have tried to install the full download package rather than the Karma theme itself. (this is very common.)
The download package includes a variety of extras such as documentation, design files, freebies, child theme, etc. which causes the installation error.
Re-installing the theme using the actual theme file will resolve the issue. Theme file is labeled Sterling.zip and is located within the download package from ThemeForest.
Also please feel free to check out the theme installation video for further details:
Where can I find support regarding making a 3D gallery? I’m assuming I need to work with the cu3er module but not sure? I’ve watched the support video about cu3er for banners… Thanks!
Sure thing my friend. We’re very happy to assist.
The setup for 3D Gallery is the same process as setting up 3D Slider (same steps as outlined in training video).
The only difference is that when creating your CU3ER within Wordpress you will use the a Gallery ZIP file rather than a Slider ZIP file. For example: CU3ER_3D Thumbnails – Dark.zip

I’m wondering if it’s possible to edit the text “Submit” in the Submit-button in the contact form. I found the code ””std” => “SUBMIT”,” in the file: site-options.php, but editing that code doesn’t seem to help.
Do you know the right place?
Yes sure thing my friend.
The “SUBMIT” text can be easily changed from within Karma’s Site Options Panel.
Simply log into Dashboard and click on: Appearance > Site Options > Forms.
Scroll to bottom of screen and update the “SUBMIT” text to whatever you’d like. screenshot: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/7008416/_screenshots/karma-wp-submit-btn-txt.png
Save all changes and you’re all good to go

I’m emberrased… Thanks!
I am having the same problem as many others are with adding the sidebar to the blog template. Whenever I create a new page, and without adding the blog posts, then the sidebar with the widgets will show, but when adding the blog, then the sidebar will not show.
I have followed the video tutorials to the “T” and read as much information as I could find on this matter with no resolve. Is there a fix for this issue?
Hi There my friend,
We’re very happy to assist you.
We’ll just need to take a closer look behind the scenes of your website so we can help determine the issue and provide solution.

I’ve tried to login to the support area but after entering my correct information and hitting enter or clicking “Go”, nothing. The page won’t even load or show an error. If you can assist me with this issue here, that will be better so others that have this issue can resolve there’s also. Thanks.
Got it…finally. I submitted a ticket.
It doesn’t work when adding the blog content onto the page. Plain and simple. When I create a new page and leave it blank, I can add the sidebar , and the sidebar with the widgets will show up, and then when I add the blog to that new page, the sidebar disappears. Thanks.
Issue is Resolved. For the sidebar widgets to show on the blog pages, there is no need to create a custom sidebar for the “Blog” page or add it while editing the page itself. All you have to do is go to your widgets, and there is a “Blog Sidebar” on the right, and all you have to do is drag-n-drop your widgets in there. Viola!
Thank you so much support for all the help.
been using Karma for quite a while. I just upgraded to wp 3.5.1 and some problems arose. sorry I did not check first here if it was compatible with wp 3.5.1.
But well, now I would just like to know when the theme will be upgraded so as to match wp.
should I go back to wp 3.5 or just wait ?
thanks for your answer
We’re running WP 3.5.1 on our end and have not run into any issues.
