Hey Calli,

Yes this is indeed possible. You will simply create the form using the built-in Form Builder and add the 20 fields.

Hello, I’m working making the site look nice for mobile phones. I did not care for the mobile theme that was included with the theme. I found where I can put a check in a box to turn off the Responsive Design.

But now the site does not zoom in and out like most others. This is what I’m wanting. The standard site just zoomed out and can be zoomed in.

Is this something that the theme can do?

Thanks.

TrueThemes

Hi There my friend,

We’re not familiar with a site zooming functionality. Do you happen to have a link to a site that zooms out on mobile devices so we can have a closer look?

Thanks so much

Hello, thank you for your reply. I did find the change I needed to make, but had to do it by the “edit” wordpress theme. This is not a good way of doing it, since after an update of the theme would delete my change. The site I am working with is: mariettamasonicbodies.com. The line of code that I needed to change was the: meta name=”viewport”.

in the header.php

I made the line read:

<meta name=”viewport” content=”width=device-width” />

and now with my iPhone, can zoom in and out.

Let me know what you think, please.

Thank you.

TrueThemes

Hi There,

Thank you so very much for sharing your edit. It looks great to us and sounds like everything is working nicely for you.

To prevent losing any changes made to theme files during an upgrade we highly recommend adding code changes to the included Karma Child Theme.

We’ve outlined a brief overview of steps below and have also posted a link to a HelpDesk article outlining more details about Child Themes: https://support.truethemes.net/?knowledgebase=child-themes-explained

Should you require any assistance at all please kindly submit a ticket on our secure HelpDesk so that our dedicated support team can gladly assist you.

TrueThemes HelpDesk | Training Videos | FAQ | KnowledgeBase

Child Theme Steps:

1. Install and Activate the Karma Child Theme

2. Copy “header.php” from the regular Karma theme (wp/-content/themes/Karma)

3. Paste header.php into the Karma Child Theme (wp-content/themes/Karma-Child-Theme)

4. That’s all! Your customized header.php will now remain untouched during a theme upgrade.

(please note that you will not upgrade the Child Theme during an upgrade, only the main Karma theme)

Thanks so much my friend.

Hi, awesome theme. Just 1 quick question, is there anyway to make the color theme white? I have a logo with a white background.

Also is it possible to set a white secondary theme as well?

TrueThemes

Thanks so much for your kind words my friend.

Karma is intended to be a ‘colored-theme’ however you can indeed customize your theme’s CSS in order to create a white color scheme.

In our humble opinion we recommend to leave Karma as a colored-theme. A white variation may not look very professional and clean. We’re very happy to convert your Logo into a transparent PNG. This will allow you to keep colored theme and will keep your website looking the most professional for you. Please feel free to email us your logo and we’ll take great care of you :)info@truethemes.net

Should you still be interested in creating your own color scheme please feel free to check out this HelpDesk article for more details: https://support.truethemes.net/?faq=how-to-change-the-headerfooter-background-image

We hope this information is helpful for you.

Thank you so much for letting us serve you.

Also need to know how to remove the date from posts/archives

TrueThemes

Hi there,

Removing the date can be down from within Karma’s Site Options Panel.

Here’s a quick overview:

1. Log into Wordpress Dashboard

2. Click on Appearance > Site Options > Blog Settings

3. Check the “Post Date and Comments” box and save all changes. These items will now be disabled from your posts.

Thanks for your help, I actually found what I needed before your answers. 1 more quick question though – how are the height of the header toolbars controlled? I removed the top bar, but the bar where the logo and page are located. See at: http://RawDesignMetals.com it is not a finish site of course.

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend.

The height of the top header/logo area is controlled via CSS.

You can modify this height by adding some CSS to Karma’s Site Options Panel: Appearance > Site Options > Styling and CSS > Custom CSS

Here is some sample code:

#header .header-area { padding: 38px 0 33px; }

You will simply copy-paste the code above into the site options panel and adjust the numbers as necessary. (ie. changing both of the numbers above to smaller numbers will make the header-area shorter)

Hi. I bought this theme, but I can’t upload it. When progress finished on windows write – Please, try again?

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend.

It sounds like you have perhaps tried to install the full download package rather than the actual Karma theme itself. (this is very common.)

The download package includes a variety of extras such as documentation, design files, freebies, child theme, etc. which causes the installation error.

Re-installing the theme using the correct theme file will resolve the issue. Theme file is labeled Karma.zip and is located within the download package from ThemeForest.

Here’s an article from our KnowledgeBase outlining more instruction: http://bit.ly/UCnnx6

Is there a way to make the banner/top menus longer. It’s currently wrapping as seen here >> http://ss.shpmgt.com/~shp2/

thx for the directions

Hi there,

Really loving the theme, but a problem has just arisen. (pretty new to this so i’m sure it’s an easy fix!)

I went to download the latest version of the theme to update to 3.0.2. Installed the zip folder via wordpress and checked the box for ‘update existing theme’. But an error message of – “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Theme install failed.” – Appeared. What exactly have I done wrong/need to do to fix it?

Thanks

We don’t currently have a video specific to child themes however child themes are a huge part of the wordpress core and there are a variety of super-awesome resources on the net.

Hey, I purchase now and start to work with, but why WooCommerce tell me like that?

“Your theme does not declare WooCommerce support – if you encounter layout issues please read our integration guide or choose a WooCommerce theme :)”

I just wonder a bit, because I read much about WooCommerce support :) I watching support videos now.

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend.

This woocommerce notice is triggered by a new function added to recent versions of the woocommerce plugin.

All is well with your theme and no changes are required.

Hi. I have your theme installed and have never been able to get the images in the columns to link to a page. So I just watched the video again figuring I must be doing something wrong. But everything appears correct on my site. In the link to page quotes, I have the full URL of the link. But when I click on the picture, nothing happens. Can you please tell me what I’m doing wrong or what I might check? Thanks very much. :)

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend.

Pasted below is a working image frame shortcode which links to another page.

Please kindly review the below shortcode and compare it to your shortcode to see if you can notice any differences:

[frame style="modern" image_path="http://s3.truethemes.net/theme-xml-content/wp-karma/image2.jpg" link_to_page="http://themes.truethemes.net/Karma/features/3d-effects" target="_self" description="" size="four_col_large"]

ADDING Media Queries into Child Theme

What’s the best practice here?

I added:
/* ------- Insert custom styles below this line ------- */

@media only screen and (max-width:1023px) {
.top-block .toolbar-right {text-align:center;float:none;}
}

I wanted to center some information once the display got smaller and the logo became centered. However, the CSS in the media query isn’t being used. Do I have to edit _mobile.css for media queries to work?

Thanks again.

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend.

It’s difficult to say for sure since we’re not logged into your website to see the code however the first thing you might try is to add !important declarations to the CSS values.

So for example the code above would be updated to the following:

@media only screen and (max-width:1023px) {
.top-block .toolbar-right {text-align:center !important;float:none !important;}
}

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend.

The Banner Text for the blog section can be changed from within Karma’s Site Options Panel.

- From within the WordPress Dashboard click on ‘Appearance > Site Options > Blog Settings’.

- Locate the ‘Banner Text’ section and change this to your desired value. (ie. Recent Posts)

- Save all Changes and you’re all good to go.

Hey, can i use karma in russian?

$55.00 Well Spent! The videos are really helpful, but their on some things I couldn’t find on the Videos or the FAQs. One of the items is how to make the Shortcode image (Full width (one_fourth)) to align right, and also have the text on the page wrap around the image? I’m using this shortcode: [frame style=”modern” image_path=”” link_to_page=”” target=”” description=”” size=”four_col_large”]

All I am trying to accomplish is embed a right aligned image with the “modern” frame style, and have the text wrap around it. Do you have a better way of doing that? Thanks!

TrueThemes

Absolutely no worries at all my friend, we’re so glad to hear you’re all good to go.
