How do I stop the posts that are being pulled to display on the jquery slider 1 from showing up on the blog as they are not suitable for blog posts.

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend.

These posts can be excluded from within Karma’s Site Options Panel.

- From within your Wordpress Dashboard simply click on Appearance > Site Options > Blog Settings

- Scroll to the bottom of that screen and you will see an ‘Exclude Categories’ section.

- Simply check off any categories that you wish to exclude from the blog, save changes, and you’ll be all good to go.

Hi there wonderful wordpress designers, First of all i wanna thank you for the themes you make..it is really mind-blowing. But i am having a hard time with the karma theme. In fact, it’s said that it is reponsive but to certain extent..when the browser gets too small, you can even see the menu..could you please help me out with this.. and if possible i would like a solution that instead the menu transforms itself into a javascript button that when you click and the menu appears, i want a solution that leaves the menu as a navigation tool bar but resizes into a two colum div…is that possible please ? it is really urgent ..could you mind help me out please ?

Hi I am about to finish my webside which I run with two languages German and Danish. I used Polylang plugin for languages.

I now looked at the SEO Module and as a newbie I am not familar with such a SEO module.

Is there a way to use the SEO module when running two languages? How do I use the SEO module using 2 languages, especially the boxes “Home title” “Home description” and “Home keywords”

TrueThemes

Hi There,

Unfortunately the Polyloang Plugin is not currently compatible with the in-built SEO Module settings.

We’ve just done some searching and it looks like the Polylang plugin author is working on releasing an update which will be compatible with the All-in-one Yoast SEO Plugin. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/polylang-and-yoast-seo-plugin

When the new Polylang plugin gets released we recommend for you to disable Karma’s SEO Module and install the Yoast SEO Plugin. (Karma’s SEO module canbe disabled from within Site Options Panel under: Appearance > Site Options > General Settings)

We hope this is helpful my friend.

I’m interested in purchasing this theme. But I have a few questions. 1) I’d like to have a header image on each page, but I don’t see that on your demo site. Is it an option? Can you show me a link to a site that has used a header?

2) Can the photos on the Blog page be resized to be smaller? I don’t know code so is this an easy change?

Thanks for your help!

TrueThemes

Hi There,

Thanks so much for your interest in the Karma theme.

1) Yes. We’re not 100% certain what is meant by header image however an image can be easily inserted on every page. Here’s an example of a primary image inserted on a page: http://themes.truethemes.net/Karma/pages/full-width-no-nav

2) Yes. Smaller featured image is not built into the theme by default however we’ve posted an article on our HelpDesk outlining instructions for making the necessary changes: https://support.truethemes.net/?knowledgebase=change-blog-post-featured-image-to-smaller-size

We hope this information is helpful for you. Please let us know if there’s anything else at all we can do to help.

Hello, I just purchased this theme, it is very nice. I am wondering if it will be possible to change the strong header area colour in your skins. In fact I would like to have it white or an off white colour. could you point me in the right direction as I cannot find anything in the css folder.

Thanks

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend.

There are a variety of ways to go about this depending on your desired workflow however here’s an article which outlines one recommended method for creating a custom color scheme: https://support.truethemes.net/?faq=how-to-change-the-headerfooter-background-image

We hope this is helpful.

Hy, I have to realize an multiligual e-commerce with more function and I like very much your theme but before start, would you please give me some information about:

The site will be realized in italian, english, german, and spanish, could it insert the products at the same time in all the language versions?

Other: Could has a section for a registration (user and password) before the purchase for all the language versions?

Could has some differents options for discount, tax and differents shipping costs for differents countries and a back end panel for order management?

Thank’s a lot for your help, hoping to start with your theme soon….

Barbara

TrueThemes

Hey Barbara,

Thanks so much for your interest in Karma theme.

As per your questions:

- All E-Commerce functionality is powered by the very popular WooCommerce Plugin. WooCommerce can be used in conjunction with the WPML Plugin for translation of all products. Here are more details outlining this process: http://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/

- Registration / Login is built into the WooCommerce checkout process. Users will be asked to register/login before completing their checkout.

- WooCommerce has a variety of built-in tax/shipping cost options. Taxes/shipping costs can be calculated based on a users location. Here are more details about some of the tax options: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/setting-up-taxes-in-woocommerce/

- WooCommerce has full admin backend for managing products, orders, categories, etc. This is all built into the plugin by default.

We hope this information is helpful for you. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help.

Hi, I am aware of this! Being ready to buy a template means to look into its features. Your template is advertised as multilingual. To me this would mean to have this included already. I understand now that you meant something different with multilingual. Regards

Hi,

I am having an issue with my external image not loading on my site. In blog posts, I set the featured image to pull from an external URL, which always worked. Now it seems like the images just stopped loading all of a sudden. I did just recently install a plugin that I thought might be causing the issue, but disabled it once I noticed the problem and the images still do not show. If I set the featured images or use any other images on my website that are hosted on my server, they show up.

I tried replicating the problem on my local host (thinking it could be a server issue), and the images still do not appear. Which is a little weird I thought. Could there possibly be a problem with the theme? I’m honestly out of ideas.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend we’re very happy to assist.

Images are loading nicely on our web server / localhost so theme is functioning properly.

There are a couple of possible items that could be causing the images not to load. Here’s an article on our HelpDesk outlining a possible solution to common fix: https://support.truethemes.net/?knowledgebase=images-not-displaying-in-image-frame-shortcodes

If the above item does not correct the issue we’ll just need to log into your website to take a closer look behind the scenes and help determine the issue and provide solution.

Hi! Purchased this wonderful WordPress theme recently, and I’ve been fiddling with it to get my new WP website up and running. There’s just one problem. I can’t get the submenus to work. I followed the “Main Menu” video tutorial and did everything exactly like the guy in the video (added the submenu items to the menu and then positioned it below the menu I wanted it to become a submenu of, and then dragged it to the right, making it ‘indented’, kindof). Now when I save the menu and visit the site, there are no submenus anywhere. What am I not doing correctly?

Best regards, Anthony

How do I remove the “divider line” above the large image that I have on my homepage? I also want to move up the large image so it’s closer to the top navigation.

http://gogetas.com/supreme/

I already removed the block that had the breadcrumbs and Page Title text as this is a normal page template and not a homepage template.

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend.

This bit of CSS code will do the trick.

Simply copy paste into the Custom CSS section of Karma’s Site Options Panel. (located under: Appearance > Site Options > Styling and CSS > Custom CSS)

#horizontal_nav {background:none;}

I don’t have purchase number for theme because my client purchased.

How do I move all the main content up closer to the navigation area? There is too much white space.

http://gogetas.com/supreme/
TrueThemes

Sure thing.

The above code can be modified to the following:

#horizontal_nav {background:none;padding:0;}
#main .main-area {padding-top:0;}
.main-holder {padding-top:20px}

(padding-top:20px can be adjusted to suit your spacing requirements)

My client purchased this theme upon my recommendation and I have to finish the site by Monday. I thought it was a really great theme but now I am having the worst trouble. The first image frame i tried does not work. I have spent hours debugging the code and I can see that the image resizing is not working correctly, but honestly I don’t feel like fixing code that my client paid for!!!. I have WP 3.5.1. I even went through all the trouble to install Imagemagick and even that does not work. My image url is correct and the image exists. Can anyone help???

TrueThemes

Sure thing Linda. Please see our note below. Thanks so much. Cheers :)

Ok. If anyone else has this problem, make sure you have the GD library installed. For some reason it doesn’t work just with Imagick.

TrueThemes

Hey Linda,

It sounds like you have resolved the issue. If there is anything else at all we can do to help please just let us know.

Karma has 2 built-in image sizing options:

- When an image is located in your website’s Media Library Karma will use Wordpress’ native PHP image resizing capabilities.

- When an image is located on another web server or is not located within the Media Library, Karma will use the very popular PHP TimThumb script for resizing. You are correct – TimThumb requires GD Library to be installed on the server. (this is very popular script and your hosting provider can get everything all sorted for TimThumb)
