Hi, This is a great looking theme! I’ve been trying to find a solution to my problem and maybe you guys might be able to do this (or already have!) with this theme. I have two questions before I consider purchasing.

1) I hope I’m not breaking any posting rules by linking a wordpress discussion, but it describes the exact thing I am looking for: The product view listing multiple products (limited to let’s say 20 per page) being in a listed table format (without pictures) with several columns (specifically for SKU, name, description, size, price, and add to cart for each of those 20 products).

(Post 1 describes it) http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-woocommerce-excelling-ecommerce-woocommerce-product-grid-view-vs-list-view

How much would it cost to make this customization with this theme? Or maybe this kind of “product-list shop page” is already in another theme you are selling?

Question #2) How do I handle the credit card transactions, with a plugin? My original plan was to go with a WooTheme Theme and then purchase a WooTheme plugin to handle online payments to interface with the Gateway (like Authorize.net). I am, however, more attracted to the theme you are selling. Will this theme be able to work with that WooTheme plugin or is there a plugin you guys sell to handle the Gateways?

Thank you so much for your time!

TrueThemes

Hey Ngleshaw,

Thanks so much for your kind words and interest in the Karma theme.

As per your questions:

1) We’re unfortunately not currently available for customization work. For professional custom coding assistance we’ve got 2 highly trusted partners for all of your Wordpress customization needs. WPQuestions.com and Codeable.io

2) Yes indeed. WooCommerce and all related plugins are a completely separate entity from the Karma theme. As long as a plugin is compatible with WooCommerce then you’ll be all good to go. TrueThemes doesn’t currently build custom payment gateways however WooCommerce has a vast array of available payment gateways to choose from.

Here’s a list of all available WooCommerce Payment Gateways: http://www.woothemes.com/product-category/woocommerce-extensions/payment-gateways/

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help.

Thanks so much

I am trying to clear this error. I have test the URL is correct for the image when I remove the resize code at the end of the file. I updated my cache folder and I am unable to find the source of the TimThumb php file. Please advise. Thanks.

A TimThumb error has occured

The following error(s) occured: Could not create cache clean timestamp file.

Query String : src=http://www.siliconvalleyconnections.com/media_assets/graphics/Home-Page-Panel-1.jpg&h=145&w=275 TimThumb version : 2.8.11 Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend, we’re very happy to assist.

This error message is generally resolved by setting the TimThumb ‘cache’ folder permissions to 777 (however it sounds like you may have already done this)

The timthumb.php file is located within the theme here: /wp-content/themes/Karma/truethemes_framework/extended/timthumb

If there’s anything we can do to help please just let us know and we’re very happy to take a closer look and help provide solution.

Hey guys, back again…

Perhaps I am missing something obvious – but is there a standard dropdown menu for mobile screens? I lose the main navigation below iPad size…

TrueThemes

Hi there,

Yes Karma has a “bootstrap style” menu when viewed on a mobile device.

When viewing on mobile device you will see this navigation at the top of the screen. sample screenshot: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7008416/_screenshots/karma-sample-mobile.png

Hope this information is helpful my friend.

Cheers :)

Thumbs up. Very nice theme :)

TrueThemes

Thanks so much Vicky.

You rock!

:)

Is there any way in the blog section to only have the graphic and an excerpt with a read more link show instead of the whole blog content itself.

Sample: http://www.siliconvalleyconnections.com/news-and-updates/

Thanks.

TrueThemes

Hi my friend,

Yes. Karma will by default display the blog post excerpt along with a “continue reading” link.

It looks like the blog posts on the sample website are quite short so the whole post ends up being displayed.

A small bit of code within the theme can be modified to reduce the length of “excerpt content” that gets displayed before the “continue reading” link.

We’re very happy to provide you guidance in making this modification.

Quick simple questions. Can I replace the built in slider, (cannot use flash etc) with the Slider Revolution slider (http://codecanyon.net/item/slider-revolution-responsive-wordpress-plugin/2751380)?

If so, how complex a template adjustment would that be? Thanks ahead of time for the expedient response. Beautiful Template wy the way.

TrueThemes

Thanks so much for your interest in the Karma theme.

Including a Revolution Slider requires no modification to the theme. The plugin comes with built-in shortcodes which enable you to insert a slider very easily via the default Wordpress Content Editor.

Please feel free to give us a shout if there’s anything else we can do to assist.

I have the html version of this and have several forms with more than 20 fields, including uploads, etc. You have a form builder but I’m wondering what it’s capable of?

I was expecting to buy both a wp theme and the wp version of quform from codecanyon. Is this theme compatible with quform (I’m guessing you would know if there have been problems in the past) and how does your form builder compare with it?

Thanks.

TrueThemes

Hey Brian,

Thanks so much for supporting our products my friend.

We’ve just reviewed Quform and it looks like a really great plugin. It’s got more features than Karma’s built-in form builder so it might be a good option if you’re in need of more advanced forms. We don’t know of any conflicts so it should be all smooth sailing.

Here are some quick notes on Karma’s built-in form builder:

- It’s incredibly easy to use. Build unlimited amount of forms in minutes. It’s built right into the default Wordpress interface for seamless experience.

- It comes with these available field types: Checkbox, Dropdown, Email, Name, Radio, Text, Textarea, Website.

- It spits out a shortcode that gets auto-inserted into the page. You can also grab this shortcode and drop it anywhere else throughout the site (ie. sidebar and footer widgets)

We hope this information is helpful.

Please give us a shout if there’s anything else we can do to assist.

Cheers :)

Hey, Great theme :)

Although I’m sure a simple change…I want to change the Primary Website Color Scheme to more black instead of the colors provided in the styling/CSS area. I have no idea how to do this lol

I looked within the support area for help to no prevail. Please advise ?

Cheers Jeremy

TrueThemes

Sure thing Jeremy,

There are a few ways to go about a custom color scheme. Here’s an article from our HelpDesk outlining how to create a new color scheme using custom graphics to replace the default color scheme: https://support.truethemes.net/?faq=how-to-change-the-headerfooter-background-image

A similar strategy can also be used which will make the color change using only CSS code and no custom images. (using this method however loses the gradient and displays a solid color instead).

We hope this information is helpful for you.

hi,

do you recommend a ticket selling system for events/concerts that works well with karma?

TrueThemes

Hmm. Apologies but we don’t currently have a recommendation for a ticket selling system.

We’ve not used this plugin in the past however it looks very promising: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wpeventticketing/

Perhaps researching that plugin a bit to see if it meets your requirements?

Hope this is helpful my friend.

Hello,

Love the look and feel of the theme. I have just one question…it says that the them is WPML-ready…does that mean we still need to purchase the WPML plug-in separately from that organization?

Thanks!

TrueThemes

Hi there,

Thank you so much for your interest in Karma.

Yes The WPML Plugin is a separate plugin that would need to be purchased from the folks at WPML.

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help.

I recently purchased the Karma 3 theme and it is great. I just have one small hiccup. I need to know how to justify the text in my four columns shortcode. I adjust it in the page settings, but it does not reflect the changes on the site.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

TrueThemes

Hi There,

Very sorry for our delayed response my friend. It’s rainy season here in Thailand and we’ve been without internet for past 18 hours.

A per the text justification, we’ve just tested this out and it’s working nicely for us. Here are the steps we took:

- Insert text into content editor.

- Wrapped the text in 4 column shortcode [one_fourth]

- Highlighted the text and clicked the “justify text” button in Wordpress WYSIWYG editor. (here’s a guide to locate justify text button: http://webgineer.tumblr.com/post/5892666472/justify-wordpress

Please double check to see if you’ve followed these steps.

I should have included this as well, but I am attempting to have the “Latest from the Blog” on my home page, but it is picking up the posts that I used for the JQuery Slider. I have excluded the categories from the Blog page itself, but is there a way that I can do this so they will not be shown on the homepage under that particular shortcode?

Thanks.

I just purchased and installed the Theme, but I immediately got a message that the Theme is out of Date – I have Version 3.0.1 and there is a Version 3.0.2. Can you update your Downloads to the latest version please.

TrueThemes

Hi There,

The latest version of Karma is posted to ThemeForest so this sounds like it could be server-related.

Certain web servers act funny with Karma’s built-in update notifier and could be providing a false reading.

To double check your Karma version please click on Appearance > Themes and double check the version number listed under Karma.

Thanks so much my friend.

Hi – I HAVE double checked, it is 3.0.1 and my Notification in Admin says “New Updates” 3.0.2 is available. Please update my download and advise asap thanks.

TrueThemes

Excellent. Thanks so much for checking.

We’ve just downloaded the files from ThemeForest and we can confirm that the latest version of Karma is indeed posted (3.0.3)

Perhaps a good plan of action will be to re-download the files, save to new location and re-install the theme.

The Karma theme has been an absolute joy to work with. I was able to put together my entire blog in a couple of hours using their existing short codes.

I had some problems embedding the videos using the short codes, where the video would appear in Chrome but not in Firefox or IE. At first it was hard to explain the situation, but once the tech support understood the matter clearly, they were prompt to respond and address the matter, even though it was not a problem with the karma theme itself but a related plug in.

Thank you again for all a quality product, and world class technical support!

hi isn’t there any built in javascript slider? i mean, of normal width, like the flash ones.

Thanks

TrueThemes

Yes the jQuery-1 Slider can be used as a normal jQuery slider similar to 3D CU3ER slider.

You will simply create “full width slides” containing only an image to achieve the effect.

I just recently created a sitemap.xml with the Google XML Sitemaps plugin. Now, on the blog page, the “Continue Reading” button is split on my most recent post and the link is broken.

I really like the look of this theme. Do I have full control of font and design colors throughout the theme? For example, I would like to change the body background of the theme to something darker (i.e. dark grey) and make the text in the body lighter (i.e. white)

Basically something more like this: http://www.quarantinerestraints.com/about/

The reason for my question is I have a client that has a VERY old theme and I want to update it to something more flexible.

Thank you for your time. Mike

TrueThemes

Hey Mike,

Thanks so much for your interest in the Karma theme.

The items you’ve mentioned are not built into the Site Options by default however these changes can be made very easily with a bit of CSS code.

To change the content area to grey one would simply add the following code to the CSS section of Karma’s Options Panel:

#main {background: #666;}

Hope this information is helpful my friend.

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help.

Thank you so much for the reply. One more question, would changing the font color within the site body be equally as easy? If i’m going to be changing the background color I want to be sure I can change H1 – H6, widget font and main body fonts to a lighter color that can be seen on the darker background.

Thanks again for your time, Mike

TrueThemes

You’re very welcome Mike.

Yes the headings and body font can be changed via CSS.

These elements also come with a ‘color-picker’ in the admin panel for easily selecting a new color.

Cheers :)
