After contacting support, which I’m still writing back and forth with, I was told, and I quote:

“Karma Theme does not have “bugs” Thank you”

This is in response to me sending a list of bugs/issues that I currently have with the Karma theme on Wordpress. Further, support completely ignored 2 issues in my bug report, and for another, simply told me “they work”, even though they DON’T work for me.

While the theme so far seems pretty solid, I have found issues with it, and the fact that support outright just tells me “you’re wrong, we have no issues” isn’t really amazing.

TrueThemes

Hey Philip,

Thanks so much for your feedback.

We’ve just reviewed the support ticket and we don’t see any of the claims listed in this feedback.

Our support team has been very polite and completely responsive to all of your requests and have provided fixes for everything that’s been asked for.

Please note that when a customer submits a rendering issue we have to first try and re-create that issue on our end in order to determine the issue and provide a fix. If the bug is indeed not occurring on our end the best we can do is provide an outline of the steps we took to make these items work.

We’re not against you in any way. We’re on the same team and we’re very happy to continue to assist you. I hope you are able to see this.

Thanks so much my friend

Cheers :)

Hey guys!

First, I’d like to say that the Karma theme is such a delicate and easy-to-use theme. We’re loving it so far.

We’ve come across one small issue. After following the steps and applying the CSS code, as outlined in your article provided below in order to center the logo and main navigation, our logo no longer appears on mobile and tablet devices. If we move the logo back to the default location on the left, it shows up fine again on smaller devices.

Since we’d love to have our logo centered, we’re hoping there’s a way to fix this?

Hi there

Awesome theme! Love it. Clients love it!

Hey so the Twitter feeds in all of my clients Karma sites are now down.

Any ideas?

Cheers

TrueThemes

Hi There,

On June 11 Twitter shut down their public API which is the functionality being used to pull in latest tweets.

Twitter now requires authentication via oAuth in order to pull in tweets. In other words: not cool :\

We’re working hard to figure out the easiest possible solution to pass along to our customers.

We’ll respond back to your support ticket as soon as we’ve come up with easiest possible solution.

Truly sorry for any inconvenience and we thank you so much for letting us serve you.

Hi,

@enzobanzai – OK, so it’s not just my site having this issue! I just submitted a ticket for this so hopefully it’s nothing too big to fix.

Hey!

I wanna buy this theme. But I have a question. Lets say I wanna do a page for different categories which are meant for lets say “products”. Now I wanna display the same product on many different categories, is it possible to do that?

I can’t find a accordion menu for sidebar menu in the demo. Is that possible?

I hope this makes any sense at all to you?

Cheers

TrueThemes

Hey There,

Thanks so much for your interest in Karma my friend.

As per your questions:

1. Just to be sure, are you referring to using WooCommerce for these product pages? If so, yes this is indeed possible. Products can be saved under multiple categories and will show up on each category page that they’re categorized under.

2. The submenu does not currently have an accordion feature.

Hope this information is helpful.

Please give us a shout if there’s anything else we can answer for you.

Cheers :)

Hey! I finally bought this awesome theme! :) Do you think you can consider making this menu http://prntscr.com/1bmobh as a accordion as well? :)

TrueThemes

Hi There,

Yes we’ll definitely look into this and consider adding accordion functionality to this menu.

Cheers :)

Dear support team,

Could I remove the bullets which appear with links in the sidebar? A bullet appears with the custom slider I set on the sidebar and it doesn’t look good. Is there a way the bullet to be removed simply from the sidebar? Thanks.

TrueThemes

Hi There,

Yes this is indeed possible. The simplest solution will likely be via a small bit of CSS code.

We’ll just need to take a closer look at your website to provide exact solution.

Having a problem with my navi-description, it’s not being created on my sites new menu’s….

the “navi-discription” on the sample menu when I first start are working but once I replace them with custom ones, it disappears…

whenever I make a new menu it no longer displays the text and leaves a nasty looking space in between the menu and the buttons.

Having trouble with my blog posts. I have all the pages and settings set up for my blog. My blog page is working but I can’t create a separate url for each blog post. All my posts just link to my homepage when clicked on.

Any solutions?

Thanks!

TrueThemes

Hmm..

This sounds like it could be related to the permalink settings.

Have you recently changed your websites permalink structure? Perhaps the .htaccess file did not get updated during the change and is causing the incorrect linking.

Poke around the Permalinks a bit to see if you notice anything that looks out of place. (Settings > Permalinks)

If unable to resolve we are very happy to assist you. We’ll just need to take a closer look behind the scenes of your website to help determine the issue and provide solution.

Karma is a GREAT theme! Easy to work with and great looking. And the theme support is stellar! No sooner did I post my ticket to resolve an issue, than a tech support person emailed me back. Not only that, but he went above and beyond to point out something he’d noticed on my site that I needed to fix (something I didn’t even see) and he went ahead and sent the fix for it.

When customer service takes it upon themselves to go the extra mile, you’ve got EXCELLENT service!

Thank you so much for your kind words. It’s been our absolute pleasure to serve you.

You rock!

Great Theme. Loving it so far. Quick question, how do I open a lightbox image by clicking on link text? It’s easy enough to open a lightbox from a thumbnail but i can’t seem to find how to open a lightbox from text.

Thank you

TrueThemes

Hi There,

So glad you’re enjoying the theme.

Lightbox links within text is not currently built into the theme however it can be achieved very easily with a small bit of HTML code.

When you’re editing your desired page simply switch to “Text” view in the visual editor and drop in the below code:

<a title="" data-gal="prettyPhoto[]" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHgNCj4DU_M">Click me for Lightbox</a>

In the above code the lightbox is opening up a YouTube video. Simply adjust the content within href=”” to point to differentlightbox content. (ie. href=”http://www.yourwbesite.com/image1.jpg”)

Hello, Total newbie here – I’m thinking of purchasing Karma Theme for my existing site, but I want to make sure it is compatible with a plugin I use (for a content management / membership tool): aMember PRO v4 Integration Plugin for Wordpress; (www.amember.com/p/) could someone please let me know if this will be possible? Also, I will want to install a member-only forum on the site – are there any forum plugins compatible with Karma? Thanks for any help you can provide. :-) Helen

TrueThemes

Hey Helen,

We’ve never used that plugin so we unfortunately cannot guarantee full compatibility.

If you decide to purchase and the plugin ends up not working nicely for you we are very happy to provide a full refund for your purchase.

Hope this helps.

Karma is a great theme. Very easy to use.

I’d like to link the image in the gallery to websites, is this possible? Eaxample below – ideally I’d like either the image or the caption line to be linkable.

TrueThemes

Hi There,

So glad you’re enjoying the Karma theme.

Here’s a great plugin which extends Wordpress’ Gallery feature to allow for easy linking of images: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-gallery-custom-links/

Also, we’ve not tested however you can likely link Gallery caption text by using the HTML for a link.

So, in the site you posted above, the caption can be modified to:

<a href="http://www.camprubicon.com/">http://www.camprubicon.com/</a>

Hope this is helpful my friend.

Hi,

On my iPhone any comments to my blog posts are getting cut off on the right side. The deeper the thread goes the more of the comment is cut off.

If I turn off responsive design then the site is way bigger than my screen and pinch-to-fit doesn’t work.

Hello, your theme is working wonderfully, except in a couple ways I am hoping you could help me with.

I am using a portfolio template for one of my pages (http://www.evergreeninwoodbury.org/mn/about/gallery/), and no matter if I set it to 2, 3 or 4 columns, it will only display one image per row.

Up until recently it was working just fine (4 images per row), so I’m not sure if a setting I made ruined it. But I do not have a sidebar, any custom page styling options or page settings.

One other odd thing is the body text for this page does not appear. If it’s helpful, I turned off the display on the “portfolio_content h3” and “pp_pic_holder .ppt” classes. But other portfolio pages work just fine despite this.

Thank you in advance.

Hi we have purchased your Karma Theme and have few questions as we are seeming to have few things that we can’t seem to get to working properly. We are using the Jquery2 homepage layout.

1. The top header (social media one) where you have ‘www.truethemes.net, @truethemes’ on right side and Home, Sitemap,Shortcodes,Purchase on the left side – can you please instruct how to add that header and how do we add widgets to that section (we would like to add the widgets like you have them in your Sterling theme). Can’t seem to find these options.

2. Drop down menus, http://imgur.com/2IYTzxu it seems for some reason there is a space between the main header and the sub options of the drop down menu, where as your, shouldn’t this be automatic, instead of us requiring doing manual css coding?

3. The main slider on home page – how to set particular order of the pictures, as we tried re ordering them, reuploading them in different order and places them differently, but no matter what we do – sliders always display in their own particular order (not how we want it.

4. Lastly, for the page style with left navigation+sidebar, is there a way to add (styled) sub sections that can be opened and closed by clicking on them? i.e. i have aproduct 1. that has sub products 1A and 1B – when clickin on 1 it will show me info about that product and also shows under it the 2 other sub products.

I hope these questions are easy to understand. If you have any questions please let me know

Looking forward to hear from you.

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend, we’re very happy to assist.

As pet your questions:

1. Here’s a Training Video outlining complete details for setting up the top toolbar sections: http://vimeopro.com/truethemes/karma-wordpress-theme/video/29517861

2. Hmm. All should be well here. We’ll just need to take a closer look at your setting to help you resolve. We’ve provided our HelpDesk info below. Please kindly submit a Ticker on our HelpDesk so that we can assist you further.

3. Sure thing. The slider displays posts in the order which they were created. ie. the post that was most recently added will display first. There are a few ways to go about re-arranging in the post order. The simplest method is to use the “Post Types Order” Plugin which adds an easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface to Wordpress allowing you to easily rearrange the posts: http://wordpress.org/plugins/post-types-order/

4. Sorry but there is not currently an expanding menu option for the side navigation page template.

Here is the information for our HelpDesk. Please kindly submit a Ticket as per item #2 and anything else at all we can assist with we can gladly do so via our HelpDesk.

Hi Thanks for coming back with this. I managed to solve the Slider issue on my own and I also managed figured out how to add the top toolbar, thanks anways!

Iro of the top tool bar: before I purchased I asked you whether I could have the top right social media widgets look like the ones you have on your ‘Sterling’ theme (http://demo.truethemes.net/Sterling-Wordpress/ ), where the wording and small white logo is visible, instead current karma ones that are just colored icons – you assured me we can – Can you please instruct how can I have those social media icons to look like the ones in Sterling top right tool bar? We prefer simple white ones with writing, over colored ones.

Thank you for the rest of the answers – love the theme, will submit my ticket now. Cheers

Please tell me if the theme supports RTL languages?

TrueThemes

Apologies but Karma does not currently come with RTL stylesheet. We’re definitely looking at adding this in a future release of the theme.

Cheers my friend :)

Hi, Newbie webside creator here.

I can’t get Karma to show jQuery sliders in two languages. Mine show German text on German page AND Danish page!

I build my webside with Karma Theme in German and Danish languages. I made layout and text in German first and installed Polylang to make the danish version. I used copy function in Polylang where it make a 1:1 copy of a created German page with all settings. I then just remove German text and put in Danish text.

I have a problem now with my 3 jQuery sliders. I created 3 posts with German text and 3 posts with Danish text.

The jQuery Slider Post Category is set to “Homepage Sliders”

But I can’t get Danish Page to load the 3 Danish Posts for jQuiery sliders?
