The Karma theme and the True Themes tech support team are fantastic. I speak from direct experience. After owning the Karma theme a couple weeks, I realized I needed help adjusting the code to add the year to our blog posts. Wrote to tech support late at night yet received a reply within hours. Then I made a mistake trying to adjust the code. Wrote back to them and they quickly found my mistake, corrected it, even found one I didn’t know I had, and offered a clear easy fix for it. All of this well within a 12 hour period. This is 5 star tech support!
PS We had tried two other responsive themes that had page builders. Although the page builders looked slick, they were harder to use than the wonderful short codes Karma theme offers. And once we got into the details of using the other themes we realized there was almost no tech support and only a few tech articles. But if you have a True Theme, you have true tech support along with videos and a knowledge base that are concise, clear and easy to follow.
Here’s a suggestion for a support document since I know TrueThemes is looking for ways to constantly improve what they offer. Make a data sheet (kind of like the automobile tech specs sheets) that lists, among other things, the recommended sizes for images in: header, horizontal frame, vertical frame. Although some of the information is on the videos it would be really valuable to have it in writing and all in one place. I am assuming you have already generated that type of info when you made the theme.
Thank you True Themes. You make your customers the real winner.
Thank you so so much for your kind feedback my friend.
We sincerely appreciate your kind words and we thank you very much for your improvement feedback. An upcoming big project for us is a revamped documentation so your feedback is absolutely brilliant.
Thank you again.
Hi, Karma theme. I need either a left or right (preff both) sidebars on my main home page. Went to faq’s and there are instructions for doing so but they seem to be for an older theme not the latest theme. I’m using jQuery 2 Page Template. Can you provide info on how to add one or both left and right sidebars to the homepage please?
Having 2 sidebars on the same page within a Wordpress site can get a bit tricky. It will require at least one of the sidebars to be “hard-coded” to automatically pull in a predefined widget region. This is indeed possible however requires custom-coding a page template.
We’re unfortunately not currently available for this type of custom coding work however we’ve got 2 highly trusted partners for all of your Wordpress customization needs. WPQuestions.com and Codeable.io
Please let us know if there’s anything else at all we can do to help.
Thanks so much
I am using the dropdown menu and flyout panels for submenus but for some reason I cannot see the right-arrows that should be present on a dropdown panel (to indicate that there is a flyout). Can you tell me how to activate these? Thanks!
Our apologies my friend but current version of Karma does not contain fly-out indication arrows.
The upcoming update of Karma will include this feature and these will be automatically added to your website menu after the upgrade.
This is a massive release with lots of new additions so final launch should be approx ~2 weeks.
Thank you so much for letting us serve you.
I’m trying to decide between Karma and Sterling. I would like to make
my site as ‘white’ as possible.
I noticed the color styles in karma and I did not see white. Are those the only color combinations? Is there a way to ‘whiten’ a Karma site?
Thank you so much for your interest in our themes my friend.
Karma was designed with the intention of having a colored header/footer area so a white header/footer will not produce the best result.
We recommend Sterling over Karma for white website layout since Sterling is designed with white header area in mind.
Please feel free to give us a shout with any additional questions.
I have the same question with totugiant. I was even thinking on purchasing Sterling just for the white background. Is it possible to have a white background on Karma?
Sure thing my friend. We’ve just posted response to totugiant.
thanks for your reply. One more quick question if I may. If I buy Sterlin and swap templates will this mess up my url structure, content, categories etc? If not then I’ll buy the second template from you guys
Al content will remain untouched when swapping between themes. The only item that will require attention whenever swapping Wordpress Themes is the page templates.
Every Wordpress theme contains different page templates. If you swap to new theme you’ll need to go back into your pages and choose a new page template.
For example, lets so you activate Theme A and setup your company page with a “full width” page template. Then you activate Theme B and it dos not contain a “full width” page template. The company page will automatically revert to “default template” and the layout of the page will change. You’ll simply need to revisit company page and choose the desired page template from Theme B.
Hope this information is helpful my friend.

I have some question regarding language switch. I’m looking template for 3 languages with switch button. Is the template support it?
Yes Karma is fully translation-ready.
There are a few options for multilingual site-translation.
The comprehensive and more ‘professional’ solution is achieved via the WPML Plugin: http://wpml.org
WPML is a very powerful plugin that enables you to provide translated text for every part of your website. Please note however that WPML does require you to provide the translated text. This is the most accurate and professional method of translating a website.
Another great and much quicker/easier option is by using the Google Wordpress Translator Plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-translator/
Google Translate is an awesome service that enables you to begin translating your website within minutes. The only downside is that Google uses “machine translation” which means that things like grammar, proper language may not always be rendered correctly during a translation.
Both great options. Just depends on your desired needs.
Karma theme: Can you tell me how to change the content font size, as it’s too small ? Typography in site options only changes headings size font. Thanks
Sure thing my friend.

I have had this theme for quite some time now, but I am having some trouble getting approved by Google Adsense. Every time I submit an application to them, they reply saying they were unable to review my site because it may have been down. However, I have made sure that my site is up.
I was wondering if you knew why they may be saying this. Would it be because of the flash from the cu3er plugin? Or something within the theme that maybe a lot of users are having a trouble with?
Also, irrelevant to this, what type of plugin or service goes hand in hand in making this theme very mobile friendly. I know Cu3er plugin is very weird on ipads and phones as well as internet explorer.
Hmmm….We’re not quite sure why the website would not be approved by AdSense. We recommend to ensure you’re using the latest version of Karma and re-submit. If they respond with any additional details please kindly pass along that information so that we can better help to provide some guidance.

I see Wordpress 3.6 is out, but here Software Version says “WordPress 3.5 & WordPress 3.4”. Is it already safe to upgrade my Wordpress install?
Apologies for any confusion. We’ve just updated the compatibility listing here on ThemeForest.
Yes Karma is fully compatible with Wordpress 3.6 and you’re all safe to upgrade.
Is there a way to narrow a slider http://www.voltrom-monitoring.pl/ ?
Narrowing a Slider is indeed possible however will require making coding modifications to your theme.
We’re not currently available for custom coding work however if you’re in need of professional coding assistance we’ve got 2 highly trusted partners for all of your Wordpress customization needs. WPQuestions.com and Codeable.io
Hope this is helpful my friend.
I don’t rly think this is helpful. I bet I will pay tons of money in order to get that information from them. However thanks for the anwser. I’ll just use differnt theme then.
Excellent theme! Before i buy i would like to know if i can have full image slider. Thanks
Thanks so much for your Karma interest my friend.
If by full-image-slider you are referring to full-width image (spanning full width of browser window) this is unfortunately not an available option in this theme.
Please let us know if there’s anything else at all we can do to assist.
Thanks fore the response!
I purchased this greate theme, nice work
Actually I have troubles with my logo which contains only text. If I create that text logo, lets say in photoshop everything looks ok. But if I upload the logo an look at the preview of the page the text in the logo looks very pixelated.
Do I have to follow some important things to have the text logo shown correct and sharp?
thx in advance for your advice
It sounds like it could be related to the exporting of the image from Photoshop? After you’ve exported please kindly view the image on your hard drive to determine if it is nice and crisp?
If image is indeed nice and crisp and only pixelated after upload, we’ll just need to take a closer look behind the scenes and help you to resolve.
thx for your reply
I have solved the problem…photoshop was the bad boy
but btw I noticed that in the menue I have a gap between the menu and the dropdown part…see screenshot here:
any advice regarding the possible source of this?
thank you in advance.
Sure thing, we’re very happy to assist with dropdown menu.
I have upgraded to WP 3.6 and I have uploaded the latest version of your theme. I needed the ability to add a slider into the content area. I had added the NextGen Gallery and it was working with your theme in previous versions.
Now with the update it no longer works and i need a slider that i can embed into the content area.
It’s not the WP 3.6 update because I use Nextgen on many WP websites and i have updated those and have no issues.
We’re very happy to assist you my friend. We’ll just need to take a closer look behind the scenes and help you to resolve.
I have purchased your theme and I hope good solutions,
I would like to know what security plugins are compatible with this theme.
Can you recommend one?
Can you kindly provide more details about what type of security you’re looking to add to the site?
Thanks for replying so quickly,
I want install a complete security plugin, to protect my WordPress installation and my Theme to code injections and hacking attempts of SQL injection.
It also makes security checks the prefix of the database, security wp-config.php file as well as WordPress core folders and files. Htaccess.
For example: Bulletproof or better-wp-security
Can you recommend any or some plugin support this Theme? Or this is something I have seen elsewhere.
You’re very welcome my friend – thanks so much for the details.
We’ve not worked with a specific security plugin on Karma theme however we’ve just reviewed Bulletproof and better-wp-security and they both look like excellent options for security. We don’t foresee any conflicts with either plugin and you should be all good to go right out of the box.
If there’s anything else at all we can do to help please just give us a shout.
Hey! Is this theme W3C Valid and accessible?
Hai! Woot, accessible according to WCAG standards? xx
Yes Karma has been built with all accessibility standards in mind.
The amount of accessibility the website will have will depend on the content added to the site. For example, being sure to set ALT tags on images, using descriptive links rather than “click here”, organizing the content using headers paragraphs and lists, etc.
Karma is ready for accessibility so it just comes down to the content added to the site.
Hope this information is helpful.
Please give us a shout if there’s anything else at all we can do to assist.
Woot! Buying Thanks x
Question – is it possible to get the left nav on the home page? or a custom menu on home page? x
Not currently however the next release of Karma, which includes an absolute abundance of amazing new features, has easy ability to add a slider to every page type. (ie add a slider to left-nav page, with custom nav, etc)
Still a few weeks before the launch as this is the most comprehensive theme overhaul since Karma’s launch in 2011, however you’ll receive notification via email as soon as the update becomes available.
Please stay tuned my friend.

Hi there, is there any chance you can give me the CSS code I’d need to center the callout text on the homepage?
I’ve used the center tag, and I’m getting an error suggestion I use CSS instead.
Thanks for your help.
Will do, thanks
I will be worried about.
Why this theme do you react to the screen of a mobile tablet?
We’re slightly confused by your question my friend. Are you referring to the behavior of Karma on tablet device? If so, Karma has fully responsive design which adjusts the design for best viewing on all mobile devices.
This is a very nice theme if you plan on using it in its original form. If you plan on modifying the theme other than css, be weary of purchasing this theme. I have run into Jquery & wordpress function limitations.
All things are possible with code, so it’s likely just some minor adjustments needed for the custom code to function nicely.
We’re not currently available for custom coding work however if there are specific issue we’re happy to take a closer look at the custom code and try to provide guidance as to how to fix.
Feel free to contact us at any time via our HelpDesk, we’re always happy to help.
Yes Wordpress Themes don’t allow for PHP to be executed from within the visual content editor, however the PHP do_shortcode() function can indeed be added to one of Karma’s page templates for nice rendering.
If you prefer not to mess with the PHP page templates you might be interested in a PHP-execution plugin such as: http://wordpress.org/plugins/php-execution-plugin/
This plugin enables you to add PHP via the the Wordpress visual content editor.
I actually prefer to do it in the templates. When I tried it following wordpress codex and all other examples I could find, it would never render. I asked support and they said the theme didn’t support do_shortcode() function.
If you would be so kind to add a quick example to the knowledge base, that would be great! I followed the codex to a T.
Sure thing my friend,
the do_shortcode() function is built into the Wordpress core so it’s supported by every wordpress theme.
Here’s a quick example that will hopefully help out:
Let’s say we want to hard-code the following shortcode into a page template: [one_half]
<?php echo do_shortcode('[one_half]'); ?>
(take note of the “echo” in the PHP statement….leaving this out is common error when using do_shortcode()
Please note that the most shortcodes in Karma are wrapped in a [raw] shortcode which strips the default wordpress formatting to ensure nice gorgeous shortcode rendering. If embedded directly into a page template the [raw] shortcode will simply be outputted (since not inserted via wordpress editor).
Some minor code modifications can take this out, but there are many options and all really depends on the desired output.
We’re unfortunately not currently available for custom coding work however if you’re in need of professional coding assistance we’ve got 2 highly trusted partners for all of your Wordpress customization needs. WPQuestions.com and Codeable.io
Hope this is helpful
Hence my original point.
Another option might be to simply grab the HTML code and drop it into a page template.
Wordpress shortcodes are simply “shortcuts” which render HTML code into a page.
Let’s say you want to hard-code an accordion shortcode….
You can create a “test page” within Wordpress and drop in the accordion shortcode via the Wordpress content editor. You can then save the page and view it in the web browser.
Within the web browser simply “View Source” to see the generated HTML. Then grab the accordion HTML and hard-code it into a page template.
Hope this helps.
Cheers my friend
