Hi this looks like a beautiful theme. We are considering purchasing the theme but wanted to confirm something first…on the homepage, would we be able to add a blogroll (i.e. a preview of a few recent or featured posts)? Also a sidebar for plugins like a tag cloud, Submission Form button, etc? Thanks!

TrueThemes

Hi There,

Thank you so very much for your interest in the Karma theme.

- Yes Recent Posts can be added using Karma’s “recent post”shortcode.

- The homepage does not currently have a sidebar region for tag cloud etc, however any page template can be used for the homepage. So for example, you might be interested in using the “right sidebar template” for homepage.

Hope this information is helpful my friend.

Please let us know if there’s anything else at all we can do to help.

Cheers :)

Hi,

I’m interested in purchasing your theme.

Am I allowed to set this up on a sub-domain for testing and then after uploading content move it to the client’s server?

TrueThemes

Yes absolutely.

We thank you so much for your interest in Karma and we truly hope to work with you on your web project.

Cheers :)

Hello ! I am considering to purchase Karma theme and want to know is it compatible with wp-client plugin

Thank you in advance

TrueThemes

Hey my friend,

Thanks so much for your interest in the Karma theme.

We’ve not worked with wp-client plugin however we’ve reviewed the plugins inner workings and checked out the FAQ and it looks like the plugin should be a completely seamless fit with Karma theme.

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to assist.

Cheers :)

Here is FAQ from the wp-client development team:

question: Is WP-Client going to be compatible with my theme?

answer: Simple answer is Yes!

There is very rarely a theme that will present a conflict, but it’s always something that is easily remedied by our Dev Team.

One of the great things about WordPress is how many different developers and ideas are out there in the fields of themes & plugins, but it also sometimes presents a challenge. Conflicts with themes and plugins do happen, but they are usually fairly easily solved.

In the off-case that you do experience issues, our Support Team is ready to assist you with a solution.

Default-user

Thank you for the professional answer and approach . I am going purchase the theme !

TrueThemes

You’re very welcome my friend. We truly look forward to working with you.

Cheers :)

Hey, How do I remove the light streaks on the top menu? The client’s logo makes the header extend past the light streaks. Adjusting the light streaks so that they reach the bottom of the header would also work, I just need a little guidance as to how to do that.

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend.

The simplest method will be to make this adjustment via CSS.

- From within Wordpress Dashboard click on ‘Appearance > Site Options > Styling and CSS’

- Scroll down to ‘Custom CSS’ field and drop in the code below. Save all changes and you’ll be all good to go.

#header .rays {background: none !important;}

Hey guys! I tried it out, and it worked! But now I actually think I prefer it with the rays, how can i fix the problem where the ray layer doesn’t adjust right? Site is http://bhs.haskins.co

Default-user

Also, Thanks for your super quick response and EASY directions!

Default-user

Sorry for so many messages! But it seems the ray layer adjusts correctly for every screen size except full size.

Also, is there a line of CSS I can use to shift the site logo up?

Thanks!

Sure thing my friend.

The simplest method will be to hide the titles via CSS.

To do so simply…

.portfolio_content h3 {display: none;}

Hello! When publishing entry, sidebar does not appear, just a blank space, regardless of what type of existing sidebar I chose. I have not found an answer on the support forum (maybe bad looking…). Tell me, please, in what is alleged to be a problem. Thank you.

TrueThemes

Hi my friend,

Thank you so very much for posting the link – we are very happy to assist.

The simplest answer is that there could simply be no Widgets added to the Blog Sidebar of the website. Widgets are manually added and if none are added then none are displayed.

To add Widgets to the Blog Sidebar:

- Log into WP Dashboard and click on Appearance> Widgets

- In the right column of this screen you will see ‘Blog Sidebar’

- Drag-and-drop your desired widgets into the ‘Blog Sidebar’ region, save and rejoice :)

If WordPress Widgets is something new you can find out heaps more instruction about how to work with Widgets via YouTube or Google.

Hope this information is helpful my friend.

I’m having problems with the JQuery 2 image also blocking my menu, when looking around the Knowledge section I found a post of code changes to the functions.php file. I know that these changes should go into the child template, but my download didn’t contain the child version. I just re-downloaded, unzipped and now have the following folders: Demo Content Artwork Liceense 3D Sliders Karma (nothing in this folder about child either). Where do I find the child theme of Karma?

TrueThemes

Hi my friend,

Very sorry for any confusion on the Child Theme files. This was an error on our last theme submission and did not include the Child Theme files within the download package.

Here’s a direct download link to the Karma Child Theme:https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7008416/Karma-Child-Theme.zip

Hi!! I posted a question on the support page last week and haven’t heard anything. Any idea when you might respond? I was wondering about whether the latest updates included a side bar for the front page (only) below sliders. And, if so, how to make that happen. I think you mentioned that would be included in the update and I have been anxiously waiting for the change. Many thanks for a great product!!

TrueThemes

Sure thing my friend.

I’ve just received a note from our Support Manager and he’s confirmed that ticket has been resolved and all good to go.

I started responding to your question before hearing from our Support Team so I might as well post this additional info:

The new version of Karma allows for a slider to be added to any page template.

Here’s a quick overview of how sliders will work in Karma 4.0:

- Slider posts are created using new Slider Post Type

- Edit any page and use the new ‘Slider Settings’ section. Here’s a screenshot: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7008416/_screenshots/karma4-slider-settings.png

- Simply choose the slider type and slider options and a slider will be displayed on that page.

- Slider types will include jQuery1, jQuery2, jQuery3, LayerSlider, Slider Revolution, CU3ER

As per release date of the new version, we’re unable to give exact date at this time. 90% of the update went smooth as butter. It’s the last 10% that has been holding back the release. We opted to outsource the Mobile Development to a mobile-expert firm and the theme is in their hands at this time. They’ve hit some roadblocks and their development has taken much longer than agreed upon. We’ve got everything ready to rock-and-roll on our end so the release date is indeed very soon.

Hope this covers all the bases.

Thank you so much for letting us serve you. Any additional questions please just say the word.

Cheers :)
