If I buy this theme, I do not want the latest version of this theme. Can I have the version that is shown in http://vimeopro.com/truethemes/karma-wordpress-theme/video/37898670
Yes sure thing, we can supply the old files however we are unable to provide debugging support as it is an old theme and outdated functioning.
Is there a particular reason choosing the old version over new version?
Thanks so much
I have to highlight a request which I have already submitted to the helpdesk but I was not fully satisfied with the answer.
In the contact form you provide in the theme all the visible fields items are fully customizable/changeable to the extent that if there is the need to get two different contact forms with different text on, this can be achieved, with exception for the string text of the “Submit” button, which can be set as global value (in the site option) but not changed individually for each contact form.
I have seen an article in the knowledge base of the helpdesk that shows how to add a “message” option to the contact form shortcode in order to get even a different successful message for each contact form.
In addition I have noticed that the price list builder does offer the possibility to have a bottom button with a custom text on it, so the required code for such a thing is already developed and there (somewhere in the theme).
I have asked to the helpdesk for the possibility to have two different “submit” text button for two different contact form,
but I was told to use a dedicated plugin instead of the one provided with the theme.
Now, I know that I can use a dedicated plugin, but what is the sense to provide a contact form in the theme and then forwarding to a external plugin for basic customization like this one?
You have provided the possibility to change all the displayed information except for the submit button text, please, can you consider to add this latest option? The code is already there, I’m sure it is not a big effort and it will complete the features of your contact form making it more usable.
I have already settled up two contact forms for my site and I have styled it via css in order to match the look of the site.
I miss only the different submit text string to be ok, and I would avoid now to use an additional plugin only for this single reason.
Given that fact that you advertise your theme as provided with a powerful Contact Form Builder (with reCaptcha), I think that it could be expected to have a full customization of all the displayed fields/button of the contact form, and this could not be considered an “advanced” exotic request.
Sorry for bothering you,
I hope you could at least consider this option in a future update,
I’m sure you can do it very easily and it will complete the usability of the provided contact form as it deserves.
PS: I’m still waiting for the sticky header update, do you have an ETA for this?
Many thanks for the attention,
have a nice day,
Thank you for your feedback and suggestions.
Adding a custom-label option to the form builder does seem like a cut-and-dry process but it’s quite in-depth and unfortunately not possible at this time. Re-writing the builder while keeping backward-compatible is not currently possible.
As per the fixed header we are very close to nailing this down and will be submitting the update very soon (1-2 days?). We were ready to launch last week however we discovered that Internet Explorer was not playing nicely so we’re currently debugging to ensure full browser compatibility.
many thanks for your answer, it is always appreciated.
I’m happy with the theme, I’m getting almost all what I need and this is the most important thing.
I have nailed by myself the 275×275 responsive image frame and it works great,
but to deal with this “submit” customization it will require probably too much time so I will look at Contact Form 7 and then I will decide what to do.
I’m happy to know that an update is coming soon:
I’m sure it will be a further step beyond.
Thanks again for all your good work.
You’re very welcome
A 275×275 image frame has also been added to the upcoming release so great things coming very soon.
Just a little update regarding the custom “Submit” button text of the contact form.
I have found by myself a workaround for the issue putting this code in each page in which I want to change the Submit button text:
Very simple, not so in-depth but it works a treat (no pun intended )
Thanks so much for sharing Andrea.
same problem as above. (hrbailey)
Sliders and drop down menus don’t work (never worked) menu buttons disappear on reduced screen and mobile.
Says activate sliders but karma theme purchase code does not work. I even “paid again” and downloaded the sliders for a second time.
sent multiple emails requesting assistance, please assist. with this issue.
Sure thing Steve,
Hi thanks for resolving the above.
A new issue. for some reason i cant load further pages into the sub menus?? i have loaded around 130 pages with no issue. However recently trying to add additional pages is not working, Initially i was selecting multiple pages and they would not “save menu”. then i tried one by one but still it will not allow me to add?? many thanks in advance.
in addition the “menu settings”, “main menu” tab becomes unticked?
Sure thing Steve.
Here’s the solution with detailed explanation: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-custom-menu-items-limit-in-wordpress/
now i have found a solution Nice Theme great work i must sy
Karma version 4.0.3 has just been released and is now available for download
This version includes a fixed/sticky menu bar, 100% RTL ready, new image frame dimensions and a small handful of miscellaneous bug fixes.
Overview of Changes:
so i am using wordpress 3.8.1, my host is bluehost and my domain name is registered under name cheap. I have pointed my name servers to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, NS2.WORDPRESS.COM, NS3.WORDPRESS.COM. On blue host i have accessed the file manager > public_html>wp_content>themes> and inserted several themes here, but it is not showing up on wordpress under appearance. Also i have noticed on other tutorials that people can upload themes on wordpress under the appearance tab but there is no option for me. Please help thank you
Sure thing my friend.
This is unrelated to the Karma Wordpress theme so you’ll simply need to reach out to BlueHost for assistance with configuring the web server for proper wordpress setup.
I did have a problem with updating, but then I saw your video, so everything is cool again, thanks for very clear and easy to understand videos.
Just have to finish my gallery and very soon I will be going live.
I have successfully updated the theme to v 4.0.3 in my local mockup site, all is working correctly and, given the amount of customizations I have done, this is a really great news!
Many thanks for the update, it is really appreciated.
Now, I have tried the sticky header, it works but there is a enhancement I need:
I use a central logo layout with a big logo.
I see that the sticky header uses the same logo of the standard header with same dimensions, this makes it unusable if the logo is big like mine.
In my opinion there should be the possibility to upload a different sized logo,
or, at least, to use the same logo but with the option to set the width and height of the sticky logo appearance as desired in order to force the header to a reasonable height
(if I reduce the displayed width/height size to 50%, for example, this will make the sticky header half the height).
I’m sure this modification could be done easily, I will look immediately to it,
in the meantime let me know your opinion regarding this item.
Many thanks again for all the wonderful work.
We’re happy to check out your site and see if there’s a “quick fix” for your custom implementation. Kindly submit a Ticket so we can see the logo in action.
Please note that things are built a certain way, and we do our best to accommodate customizations, but we only have so many resources and are unable to provide significant custom coding assistance.
A fabulous website for coding customizations is http://www.wpquestions.com – you can hire professional developers to customize the theme in any way desired.
many thanks for the answer,
I know that there is a limit to what you can offer as customization, I always try to figure out a solution by myself before asking…
In any case I was already able via CSS to reduce the height of the sticky header to 40px, leaving only the main menu and hiding the logo and the top bar: now it is really looking good and not intrusive…
To be perfect I want to load a different little logo on the left instead of the big main logo, or, if I will not be able to do this, to simple center the current menu (which is currently floating right).
I will try to do it by myself and if I have trouble I will open a ticket.
Many thanks again for your patience,
and keep the good work going on.
i want to buy this great theme. But I need WooCommerce 2.1.x and WooCommerce German Market – do you have any experience if this works with Karma?
Thanks so much for your interest in the Karma theme
Karma is fully compatible with the latest version of WooCommerce (2.1.6)
Thx for your fast answer – but it say nothing about “WooCommerce German Market” and without this framework plugin it is nearly impossible to make a shop confirm with the german laws.
Apologies for the misunderstanding my friend, we thought the question was related only to the default WooCommerce.
The link provided is for a Wordpress Theme called “Hamburg” which is a woocommerce theme built specifically for German Market.
Karma’s WooCommerce has not been built for German Market so it’s our recommendation to use the Hamburg theme as it will very likely be a simple plug-and-play solution.
Hope this information is helpful.
the Theme “Hamburg” is made as an running example for the “WooCommerce German Market” Plugin. A few more Pages, a special Button, some Information on the Product Page (delivery time, basic price…), a summary page and a little more comes with this Plugin… all things required by German laws…
So i will buy “Karma” for another project in the future, cause i really like the look, but not current for this webshop project.
Many thanks for your fast answers!
Ah, makes perfect sense now thank you.
We’ll do some more research into the WooCommerce German Market Plugin to learn more about it’s inner workings. If plugin works with default WooCommerce integration than all should be well on the Karma front.
Hi! I just install karma the and at first looks cool, but I have my first problem, I install uber menu plugin, check all the options in them options, header & menu for uber menu with karma predefined design. But when I reload my page appears a message on top of page:
“Couldn’t connect to database server, couldn’t find database pssamurai1_ratta. An unexpected problem has occured with the aplication. SELECT global_code FROM ‘ubh_settings’ where settings_id=’1’.
Can you help me fix it please? I need uber menu! it’s cool!!
We’ve never seen this issue and it seems to be related to the UberMenu Plugin rather than Karma Wordpress Theme.
Please kindly reach out to the developers of the UberMenu Plugin so they can provide assistance. Here’s a link to their support site: http://sevenspark.com/support
I like very much this Thema, Thaks.
I have this problem:
When I’m use the plugin Karma Content Generator in Apparence
Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /home/oexiunrd/public_html/pruebas/wp-content/plugins/karma-theme-demo-content-generator/generate_gallery_posts.php on line 17
Sorry, The problem is ok. Now the plugin is correct.
Hey guys. Downloaded the new version. Trying to upload to WP but get error message asking if I want to. When I click yes, takes me back to the upload page but I’m unable to. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Resolved. It was there, regardless of the message I got from WP. Also successfully upgraded to 4.0.3 today. Worked great using the upgrade plugin suggested in your video. Keep up the great work!
Very glad to hear all is well. Cheers
just a fast question:
do you have an ETA for a fix/workaround to the parallax-mobile issue I have described in some comment above?
I’m going short in my timeline and it could be nice to know something in this regard…
Many thanks for the attention in advance.
Have a nice weekend.
We’ve tested the parallax banner on Google Nexus and iPhone and were unable to replicate the issue of repeating backgound. When mobile menu is clicked the banner area slides below the available viewport.
We’re very happy to further troubleshoot however we’ll need screenshots of the error along with details about the mobile device it’s being viewed on so we can gladly try to replicate and provide assistance.
Please continue reaching out to us via our secure helpdesk.
Sorry, maybe I have not explained the issue in the right way.
It is true that in real mobile devices (small screen and mobile menu activated) you cannot see the repetition issue and the parallax banner image is correctly shifted down if you touch the mobile menu button.
But the repetition issue is there, and is perfectly visible in every PC with desktop browser used with a relative small width (I don’t know exactly, but from what I can see slightly less than 800px is small enough to activate the mobile menu instead of the normal menu).
reduce the PC browser width to ~780pixel, load the page, click on the mobile menu button and look at the bottom image repetition. In this case the parallax banner image was not correctly shifted down on the mobile menu expansion, it was fixed, and the repetition happens.
I don’t know if this behavior is considered not relevant because probably PC desktop browsers will be mainly used at a width greater than 800px, but it’s definitely there.
In any case, this is not the major unpleasant effect.
Trying to view this same parallax banner with my Nexus 7 2014 (Android 4.4.2), and other tablet of different android version too, I have noticed that the parallax background image is not vertically aligned in the same way is showed if viewed in a PC desktop browser.
This happens on your demo site too.
If you look at the same page (team members)
with a PC desktop browser you can note that the vertical starting position of the parallax banner is made in order to show the office environment including some writing desk and chairs.
Now try to look at the same page using an android tablet and you will clearly see that the parallax banner is centered on the roof: no one single chair and writing desk is visible.
The bottom line is that:
- using PC desktop browsers the parallax banner is vertically centered somewhat in the middle of the image, but if you have a reduced width of the browser and you click on the mobile menu button, during the menu expansion the image stay fixed and a repetition occurs on the bottom.
- if you use an android device (at least my Nexus 7 with Android 4.4.2, which has now Chrome as stock browser) you will notice that the mobile menu expansion is correctly shifting the banner image down, but the parallax banner image is not vertically centered, it is top aligned, which is not so pleasant due to the fact that the parallax banner image is usually oversized in height. So it tend to look weird, and in any case it looks significantly different from the PC desktop browser one.
Sorry for bothering here. If the case I will open a ticket and attach an image and a photo taken on the tablet screen, but I think that if you try to replicate what I have observed you will easily confirm my findings.
Many thanks for the patience and the attention.
Have a nice day.
Thank you for the detailed information.

we are planning to do a multi-language website with WP and your theme. I read the features and I’m not sure about multi-language feature. I would like to use Catalan, Spanish and English language. Can you explain me how I can do it with WP & this theme? If the theme are not in one of this languages, how I can translate it and how long in time?
Thanks in advance.
Thank you for your interest in the Karma Wordpress Theme.
Karma’s admin/dashboard comes pre-translated into 12 languages. English and Spanish are included but not Catalan.
It sounds like you’re more interested in translating the actual website (what the user sees) rather than the dashboard. This is great news and easiestly achieved using a 3rd-party plugin such as WPML: http://wpml.org/
Karma has been thoroughly tested and approved to be 100% compatible with the very popular WPML Multilingual Plugin. Once installed, this plugin enables the easy storage of your website’s content in multiple languages with the ability for the end-user to select their desired language from a drop-down list. Please note that adding multiple languages via WPML requires translating the actual content. So for example if your website has a blog post in English, you will have to translate this post into Spanish and Catalan and provide that information to WPML Plugin. This is the standard method required by every wordpress theme.
Hope these details are helpful.
How do you remove the logo icon that comes with the theme. I want the site to pickup the name and tag from the settings, but I don’t see a way to deselect/disable the logo icon.
A text-logo with text-tagline is not currently an available logo option.
We’re very happy however to provide a custom image-based logo for you.
Please send us an email with desired logo-text and tagline-text along with URL to the website. Pls email us at: email@example.com
Thank you so much for doing this, I’ve just sent the email
