Hi,
I’m not sure what you mean … Do you mean “Desctription”, “Additional information” and “Reviews” ... This is edited in WooCommerce admin … Additional information can be added via Custom product attributes (in product admin “Attributes” tab)

Hello Aligator!

I’m kinda lost in Kauri WP theme, I thought that when I have imported the xml file, it will be including all pages, but in my case, when I click the all pages button in dashboard, all I get is no page, so, when I try my website (babykiddymommy.com) , for example CHECK OUT , it will be “page not found” ,can you help me with this? btw, I’m quite new in wordpress thing, so I really really desperate now :(

Hi,
you didn’t enable the permalinks (as explained in documentation), in WP admin go to – Settings > Permalinks, and under “Common Settings” select “Post name” and after that “Save settings”.

Hi, there is a small bug in my theme. I know you have told me before that the theme needs updating, but looking at my dashboard everything seems to be up to date. The bug is in regards to the featured products display. If you look at my website www.body-foods.co.uk you will see that some of the featured products are showing the kauri theme image even though I have set up specific product images (as you can see if you click on the individual product). If this has been fixed with a new version of Kauri that hasn’t been detected on my dashboard, please send me a link or instructions on how to update. If not, please fix the bug :)

Sorry to say, but Kauri can’t go through automatic update system, as it is “double” theme with two versions. So you’ll need to “manually” install Kauri, by downloading from Theme forest and copying it to themes folder.
The issue with featured image is probably caused by adding product image from media library and not the new upload. The fix for that is in the newest Kauri, but this version is still not available for download.
If you contact us on themes@aligator-studio.com we will reply you with files that will solve this issue after you copy them into your Kauri theme.

Another Problem that didn’t solve itself - When I hover over the shopping cart at the top of the page – The window that pops out seems to be flickering – Probably because of the menu… Any suggestions?

Hello, I have just checked and it looks like we have replied to your original message from 10 days ago. Kauri is “double plugin” theme so no automatic upgrades are possible. You should download latest version of Kauri from Theme Forest and install the new version manually (please don’t forget to backup theme options and WP database).

Hi, it’s probably something really stupid, but i bought and installed this theme – but my default carousel doesn’t show? I keep seeing a ‘classic carousel’ with “This is just a variation, or example of what you can do with theme option tool “Homepage layout manager” in it . i’ve emailed you on sunday but no reply yet. And i really need to start working on my site soon.. Does anybody else know what’s wrong?

You have set the static page as your home page (home page variation) in WordPress right? If you did, change that setting (Reading page in admin) to latest posts. To change appearance of the theme use theme options.

Hello everyone,

as you may have heard (seen in previous comments or emails), last week we have been in serious car accident. Alen and our 3 year old daughter have been injured and kept in hospital till yesterday.
Because of this situation we have been unable to answer any support mails or comments.

Hi my costumer bought this theme , were trying to to make some changes through the the theme options – seems like not all of the options are working , when we choose diferent font – save options or when we choose a new page pattern we see no changes on the site … please advise. feel good.

Hello, Most likely you haven’t set the correct permissions on options folder and files inside that folder. Set them to 777 and see if that helps.
Also, if you are using some kind of cache plugin please disable it while setting up the theme and turn it on only when you are done.

Hello there

I would like to change the fonts, their size, not to be capital and so on on several pages, buttons, headlines, etc but not to the ones that are included. I tried to manually rewrite the css files but it didn’t help cause everything remained the same. Any advises?

you shouldn’t edit the css “manually” as we cannot help you (please, read our F.A.Q about that matter)
If you give us more specifics about what do want to change we can give you guides on how to do it with Theme options Custom CSS .

Ok, so I would like to change the font to Segoe Print (or maybe other font) in several parts: - the menu buttons; - the product names on the store page and on the single product page, on the latest products widget, carousel, well, almost everywhere; - on the page name and description on the top left corner (instead of logo); - if I want to make it lower case, how could I (anywhere).

And two other issues I faced. At the ‘your account menu’ it requires to log in. Thats okay but where can I register or make a registration formula, button? And the second. Where you have the Gift wrapping, Free shipping posts on the home page. If I click on them, on the next page I got a huge image in the middle (in the case of my page it’s even bigger and blurred). May I somehow give the exact size of the picture, resizing it not to ruin the whole page?

Sorry for the big amount of questions (hope it’s understandable) but well I need to go on somehow :)

If you are using WPSC plugin you will find demo content inside theme zip file (demo content folder). If you are using WooCommerce, you will find it inside plugin zip file (root folder).

Hi there,

We have just bought your template and currently in a process of installation. We are unfortunately having issue with the installation process and wondering if you could be our assistance.

We followed the steps by 1. downloading the template file called “themeforest-1939210-kauri-responsive-theme-for-wp-ecommerce.zip” 2. trying to install the template in WP via Appearance > Themes > Install Themes > Upload 3. choosing the “themeforest-1939210-kauri-responsive-theme-for-wp-ecommerce.zip” to upload on my WP site and click “Install Now”

Problem: The installation cannot be completed as it keeps returning a screen without any buttons to continue but it has a message

Please try again.

Don’t know if we have to do anything else in order to complete this. Please help..!

Hi, You shouldn’t try to upload the package you have downloaded from Theme Forest. Open that zip file (themeforest-1939210-kauri-responsive-theme-for-wp-ecommerce.zip) and inside you will find 2 themes, 2 plugins, child themes and documentation. Please choose which version of the theme you want to use and upload that file only. Aslo please check the documentation for instructions and basic tips for getting started with Kauri theme.

If you are trying to upload only one theme and get this error, it means that your server is not configured as it should be. You need to increase the memory allowed for PHP scripts. It is common problem on shared hosting. You will most likely need to ask your host to increase the limit. Or, if you have access to php.ini file , you could do it yourself. There are many resources on Google for changing php.ini file but this could be your starting point : http://wordpress.org/support/topic/phpini-problem-not-allowing-20mb-file

Yes, you need to check any list item for skin overrides to apply changes.
To change all headings (menus and titles as well) enter this code in Custom CSS box (in Theme options > Styling options):

Hi, I do have problems to insert images into posts.

1. When I insert a image directly into a post (from the Mediathek or NextGen) it is displayed in the post – but not on the home page (I do have the carrousell used with latest posts). You see there a place holder from Kauri. 2. When I do insert an image on the blog page using the box where it says “use as image for the post” (the box on the right bottom side) – and delete the image in the post directly – an image is displayed on the home page caroussell – but NOT in the post on the blog page.

3. When I do use both – insert it directly in the post as well as use the box “use for the post”/right bottom on the blog page: it is shown twice in the post. One extract and one full image – that does look odd!!! (please see http://www.silkedesign.de – blog page)

How can I insert an image into the post so that it is displayed on the homepage caroussell as well as displayed in the post – but only one time?

Puhhh – difficult to explain – hope you understand my worse English explanation ….

Hi and sorry for late reply,
All three questions of yours are related closely, so I will give one broad answer:
You can only use featured post (or product) image for carousel, so inserting images with NextGen or similar gallery plugins won’t work for that.
The featured image is what is used for post archives as well as single posts.
It looks like you inserted images, removed it an re-uploaded it couple of times so it could be the reason why you have duplicate post images. It’s odd, because it didn’t happen to us (or other 450 buyers of Kauri … or it did, but they didn’t tell us ;) ). Especially there shouldn’t be any other then featured images on archive (categories) pages, as those are made to get only excerpt, not the whole content …
To make this shorter, please, contact us on themes@aligator-studio.com, with your site login info, because, without being able to login we can’t help much.
