^^ awaiting the update patiently ^^

also would be great if we also see new features :D

Hi, before purchasing I would like to know how the information is treated with your template. Are there any kind of KMS functionalities to list/edit/insert/delete each item or are should I write them directly in the Wordpress code? Or are the items taken directly from a DB (i.e. MySQL)? Thank you.

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

This theme works directly in WordPress. The data is stored as WP posts. Unfortunately we can’t support any customizations outside what the theme provides (colors, options etc).

Thanks

Have a great day!

Probably a howto by I can’t find how to reorder items in a category. I created several articles one after the other and I created by the article named Introduction. This post appears as the last entry and I would like it to be at the top of the articles.

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

This isn’t a feature of the theme, but I believe many customers have had success using plugins from wordpress.org to customize the order of their posts.

Thanks

I want to upload a pdf on a post and include a download pdf option, is this possible?

Thank You thats done :)

May I ask another question please?

On the home page page, when I choose to show static posts, it says “Article Categories” at the top, is there anyway I can remove this? even by adding custom code?

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

The easiest way would be to use some Custom CSS like this: .home .page-title { display:none; }

If you need any further assistance please submit a support request via http://herothemes.com/support/ and we’ll help you as best we can.

Thanks

Awesome, That’s sorted! Thank you very much

Some weird stuff is happening on your support site, and I can’t seem to submit a message. (here’s a screenshot, had to zoom out a lot to show what was happening – http://i.imgur.com/MD7zL8H.png, circle is spinning forever and ever on both firefox and chrome).

If I submitted a bunch of times, I’m sorry about that.

I do need support, though.

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

Sorry about the issues you’re having. Could you try again? We’ve been getting support requests through fine from other customers, so fingers crossed it’s just a one off glitch.

Thanks

Hi,

I have a plugin shortcode I would like to include on the home page above or below the search bar and the home page I am using is to show recent posts, where can I include the shortcode of the plugin so that it can appear on the top of the home page, would this be on theme options?

Default-user

I have made home page to be static page instead of showing latest posts, and included the short code of the plugin. Is there any short code I can include to show latest posts?

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

There is no shortcode for showing latest posts included in this theme.

For anything further support is provided via http://herothemes.com/support/ please submit a support request there and we’ll help you as best we can.

Hi there,

I see your HelpGuru theme has a knowledgebase plugin included.

If I buy this theme, do I also get this plugin?

Would need it!

Thank you

ChrisMooney

The HelpGuru theme uses our new knowledge base plugin whereas the KnowHow theme is a self contained theme.

Thanks

TheZoker

Is it possible to get the plugin additional to the theme purchase or can I somehow buy it?

ChrisMooney

The plugin will be available standalone soon, otherwise it’s included with HelpGuru. (again the plugin only currently works with HelpGuru).

Thanks

Hello, I have just purchased this great theme. Congratulation. How can I create a page like the one that you have on your demo with all the FAQs? I mean this page

Also, do you have any suggestion on how to achieve syntax highlighting on posts?

Thanks!

ChrisMooney

Hey there,

Thanks for purchasing a Hero Theme. The page is automatically be created and by default you should be able to access by adding /faq/ to your home URL.

Hi, can you please help me? I added a few posts in WP’s “FAQs” section and not via “Articles”. I can see these posts, but when searching it I see in the search bar’s results a question mark (?) icon on the left of the post’s title. In the search results page I see an empty squere above the post’s title.

I’d much appreciate it, if you could fix the hentry issue re entry-title, etc.

Best regards,

well in case anyone is interested, we were able to fix it without too much hassle … use wordpress post_class filter to remove hentry from post_classes, then add a div with class=”hentry” around the whole content with entry-title, author vcard/fn (you’ll need to add it) and date updated published (again add it) without any css-troubles:) It may not be a very nice way, but it works…the other way may involve quite some css editing…because <article> would have to be repositioned in single.php e.g. etc.

ChrisMooney

Hi Markus,

I’m not aware of the issue, would you be able to email me or send in a support request with the details so I can take a look for you?

Thanks

sure, just wrote you an email…your theme btw. was a great place to start from…can abs. recommend it…

can I set up a news section? can it be in the home under the questions bar?

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

With KnowHow, the knowledge base uses the WordPress posts for the knowledge base articles so unfortunately you can’t have a separate news section.

Our other knowledge base themes, Support Desk and HelpGuru are able to have a separate news section though.

Thanks
