Need a little help on how to add image sliders to non-home pages. I get the homepage slider option but I would like a slider on a two other pages in my site. Can some one please point me in the right direction.

It appears your filter id’s are not behaving normally due to the use of Japanese for example the first item shows this for the id: %e3%82%aa%e3%83%b3%e3%83%a9%e3%82%a4%e3%83%b3%e8%b3%bc%e5%85%a5
Changing the language type in the header may fix this issue.

hey, been using your theme for a while now and there are 2 things i need to solve. - Need to use the wp native gallery on a page. that simple. actually is looking very bad. - Using the photo gallery, it doesnt show the text i put on the page. thats wrong! please backup. thanks.

Hello, How do you enable excerpts for the staff posts? I added excerpt support to the custom post type in functions.php, but it’s not adding the ‘Read more’ link on the staff page. Thanks.
Currently the excerpt is generated automatically from the staff post itself although you can change this by going into template-staff.php find line 105 and replace it with the following line: http://snippi.com/s/ubc5h6f you can read more about this function here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/the_excerpt
please respond to my request for assistance with the responsive nagavation menu. there is also some difficulty with portfolio categories.
The issue is that the javascript functions are not being loaded which could be to do with a 3rd party plugin trying to load jQuery a second time incorrectly; have you tried disabling plugins?
Hello i have just downloaded the kraken theme and this is my first time working with a wordpress theme.

1) on my toggle drop down boxes the no +/- symbols seem to be missing…
2) i cant seem to be able to add images into my two column layout as in this example http://try.authentic-themes.com/kraken/. what do i need to do?
3) My shortcodes for List Styles and other elements do not seem to be working when some do work. Any ideas whats wrong?

If you find Option Panel > General > Notification Bar simply remove all the text/spaces and it will be hidden.

That is strange we will change this in the next update but the id=”main” does nothing you can safely remove it from both elements.

Hello hptgn, sorry about that you are right I was looking at the wrong version. We will be fixing this in the next update. You can remove #main from the <header> element the only thing that will change is in the responsive portion of the site it will display an empty container which adds extra margin under the logo on the iPhone to fix this you will need to change the following lines: 3047, 3136, 3234, 3357, 3533 from

Hi, I have a problem with the slider, when I embed a video change the measurements of the slider (more height) and the other images remain the same.
It ignores even resize the video.
when I create a new slider, I just insert the video code, nothing more … How I can fix this? I want to look like the live preview

The way we do it is set the width to 940 and the height to 400 in the demo; I cannot see a reason why it would not be working correctly.

1) How can I edit fonts and font sizes? The styling options seem to only cover color.
2) How can I center the items in the menu bar?

Hi! First: love the theme. It is incredibly flexible and has bent to my needs. Great job.
Unfortunately, I seem to be having a new problem: when the site is viewed in its smallest (mobile) version, the navigation disappears completely. I saw that someone else had a similar issue and you asked her to disable plugins; I have done that but to no avail. I don’t think I have changed any javascript or css links. Do you know of anything else that could be causing the error? The site is here (although we may be down for maintenance soon).

This can also be caused by initialising a missing jQuery function. For example if you have been editing the theme and decided you didn’t want to use tipsy and you removed the .js file and left the jquery function in jquery.init.js

Is there a way to fix this? My settings for thumbnails in the Media panel are:
Width: 300 Height: 200 And crop thumbnail to exact dimensions is selected.Lastly, when I updated Kraken to Version 1.03, only a few of my CSS color settings carried over. Even though in Theme Options > Styling items such as “Body Link Color” with the hex code #a31b1e (red) are still defaulted to green.
Additionally, my “Custom CSS ” content from the previous version is still there but seems to have no effect.

When I use the “Gallery” post format, any vertical photos have a preview (the larger image above thumbnails) that is aligned to the left. Is there any way of fixing this or making the preview of a vertical photo as wide as the landscape-oriented photos?

I’m 99% done with building a client’s site using this theme and am hung up on one last thing. The prettyphoto gallery .js file seems to differ from the most recent version available online. The problem here, is that I’d like to be able to include a ‘share’ button within the prettyphoto pop-up that when clicked will share the link of the ‘gallery’ page. Ideally, I’d like to just use an ‘addthis’ simple share button, but I’m having no luck at all. Any help would be appreciated. I’ll have a look into incorporating the latest PrettyPhoto into the next update I will keep you posted. Great use of the theme by the way love the textures and colours.
The 1.04 version has been submitted to the themeforest and should be available sometime tomorrow. Simply replace the prettyphoto js file and you should be good to go.
Thanks for looking into this for me! One more question. I haven’t updated the theme since I downloaded it originally. Is there an easy way to update the theme, or do I need to install it and then move over all my customized .css, templates etc etc? I’m really mainly interested in the prettyphoto integration at this point, so the easiest way to incorporate the latest version into the theme would be best-case-scenario. Thanks again!
These are the recommended minimum changes you should make:
(simply re-upload this file) (upload these as they were missing from the 1.03 build)The other changes are mainly to do with wp_debug for 3.4 and are not essential but if you did want to do the full update read the changelog.txt in the theme root directory and it shows what you should change in detail.

I noticed some issues with the background and hover of images of blog posts when they show up on the front page. It only happens with the dark version.

I have fixed the issue it was a pretty simple one we had missed out an img tag.
On the block of code at 262 find:.home-blog-thumb,Simply change it to:
.home-blog-thumb img,Then the block of code directly underneath that find:
.home-blog-thumb a:hover,and change it to:
.home-blog-thumb a:hover img,You should then be good to go! Sometime tomorrow the update will be downloadable from the themeforest if you still have issues.

Thank you. Unfortunately I’m not a coder and have no idea where I’d put that jQuery code. I’ve tried the margin-left method, but it shrinks the logo considerably as it moves it over because of the social button feature that is taking up space in the header. It does this even though I don’t have any social buttons showing. Where in the code can I cut out that invisible box that’s housing the social buttons, or at least change the amount of space it occupies?

Then if you are using the css method apply your margin-left to the logo. (You may need to do this for each responsive version also.)
