Have you removed the enqueue for js files by chance and not removed the call in /js/jquery.init.js

It appears there is an issue with some javascript you have added to the template firebug displays the following issue:

TypeError: $.supersized is not a function

If you fix this issue the javascript on site will start to function again.

Hi Guys,

I’ve uploaded the theme, that went as expected, no problems here. But when I try to activate the theme I get the following error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_theme() in /home/XXX/public_html/wp-content/themes/Kraken/functions.php on line 25

Can enyone help me out here?

Hi Guys!

I have a slight issue with the “note“ shortcode… When adding the shortcode to a “full width“ page or when adding multiple “note“ shortcodes on one page with “column“ shortcode the “note“ shadow seems not aligned and out of place, also my text in the “note“ is pushed to the right…

Can someone help me out here?

Hi,

When I add a featured image to a blog post, it appears on the homepage in the correct size but on the blog page itself shows in a parculiar size.

How can I get it to appear properly, or remove it from the blog post altogether?

Hi,

I’ve chosen the front page to be a static one (static home full), and have created a page for the static content.

In the homepage layout manager, I have enabled ‘tagline’ and ‘static page’, but the only component of the homepage that actually appears on the site is the static page content. The text I’ve written in the tagline text box does not show up on the homepage. (I’m running WP 3 .4.1)

Is it me or is there a bug in your code?

If you unselect static page in Reading Settings and use “Your latest posts” this should fix the issue you are facing.

Still looking into this it could possibly be a server setting issue, one other person had this issue a few months ago he ended up using a manually arranged homepage without the layout manager which we can help with if you wanted to go that route. It’s fairly simple if you let us know the order you want your homepage arranged in we can send you a new index file.

Hi- Love the theme. Got a couple questions for you though: 1) Question about the social icons on the top of the theme and compatibility with Google Chrome browser. When using Chrome, the description box that pops up when you hover over one of the social icons (ex: “Facebook”) actually covers up the icon and prevents you from clicking it. This is not the case when I test with Internet Explorer. Do you have any suggestions for correcting this, perhaps adjusting or lowering the height of those little popup boxes, or even removing them? I couldn’t determine where exactly in the CSS to make the updates. 2) I’m using the Recent Blog Posts option on the Home Page Layout Manager. Is there a way to change the excerpt length to make it longer?

1) I had a look and it seems to be fine although there is an issue with the WordPress Admin Bar they introduced where if it is displayed on your page it will change the positioning of the tipsy margin which we will be fixing in the next update.

2) You can either edit it in general excerpt setting in the option panel > blog > Excerpt Length (this will also change the length of them on the blog page also) or you can change this in /kraken/includes/home/blog.php and edit line 76 with will change it only on the homepage:

else { $excerpt = '35'; }

Change the 35 to a value of your choice.

you are correct. it was a plugin issue. the filter is now working again.

I have another question for you in regards to the filter system…

Any way to make the filter hide the greyed out clips when given filter is selected and shift remaining thumbnails to top of list? Otherwise its not clear that you need to scroll way down to bottom of page to see the remaining thumbnails…

1) It can indeed. 2) You can easily disable these using the layout manager in the admin panel or manually using basic php knowledge.

Hello.. I’ve noticed on ipad, you actually have to click the portfolio thumbnails twice before the page refreshes – once to select it in yellow, second time to actually go to link. is there any way to make the thumbnails a single click?

Hello Eric, This is indeed possible what you would need to do is open /style.css and find line 849: @media only screen and (max-width: 959px) inside this code block add .overlay { display: none !important}

how do I use the shortcodes that come with the theme? Is there a way to automatically generate the code with the information I want so I could just paste it into a post?

Unfortunately not with this theme there is no shortcode editor you will need to copy/paste them from the documentation.

Hello,

I did something incredibly stupid and managed to delete all pages from under WP’s “Pages” menu. Deleting and reinstalling Kraken didn’t bring them back. Is there anywhere I can find the content for the sample pages that Kraken came with? Or, at the very least, the homepage & shortcode page content?

Strangely enough, trying to import the .xml file with sample data, leads WP to tell me all of those pages (that used to be there) already exist. And they do, but I can’t see or edit them through the “Pages” menu link.

In the Kraken zip file you should see a folder called /sample-data/ inside it should be a sample-data.xml file simply upload this by using the WordPress Import Tool.

Hi, I have two problems with the theme:

1. Maybe seems stupid but how do I update the theme?, I have version 1.02 and I see that the current is 1.4 I have found no update button…

2. What can I do to make the thumbnails appear the same size in the portfolio, blog or gallery and not at different heights, as it causes a misalignment.
In the gallery I had to put all the photos the same size so that the thumbnails appear like that if there are some higher than others.

Leaves gaps in the portfolio that the picture above is a little higher than the rest.
I tried to fix it but do not know how.
