Hi @KennyWilliams,

Excelent template.

I have 3 questions:

1. When you visit the ‘About’ page, the nav link remains grey, could it be possible to change it to blue, when the user is at that page?

2. Another one regarding the nav bar: I have set a logo which is 105px height. Then, the nav bar is hidden behind the light-grey background of the content div at ‘About’ when the page is viewed i.e. in an iPhone (in this case, the nav bar is at the bottom of the logo, due the responsive behavior). How could it be fixed?

3. If you see the bottom quotes, when they have different number of lines, the nav circles and the footer also move up and down regarding the position of the text. This make pretty difficult clicking that buttons. Could they be fixed in height avoiding the up-down movement of the nav circles and the footer?

Thank you in advance for your help.

KennyWilliams

Hey Pibo5,

1. Yes Easy change, the active page nav item can be changed to a colour you like. It just involves adding an active class to each page nav item, and adding that class property to the CSS.

2. Easy change, The header area for logo and nav on the internal pages has an existing height property that can be changed to suite your logo size.

3. The quotes are in a container and the dots a relative distance from that container. You could set a fixed height, but you would have to do this on all css breakpoints and would have to make sure all quotes are consistent in length. This was intentionally left as a variable height because there is no way of knowing what content people ant to put in here.

hope that helps

Thank you KennyWilliams,

I will try all your solutions.

Another issue is that I would like to set images at the ‘About’ page, left column. I am using the HTML img tag, and I have set a width of 520px, but for some reason the images are shown escalated to 350px wide.

Any solution for it, please?

Thank you again.

KennyWilliams

Hey Piblo,

Have you purchased this template yet?

Hi KennyWilliams, of course.

Maybe the reason why I have not the “purchased” tag is I bought this template with the “The Envato Mobile Bundle”.

Regards

KennyWilliams

ok, thanks Piblo.

Hi again KennyWiliams,

I don´t know if you´ve seen my last question:

“Another issue is that I would like to set images at the ‘About’ page, left column. I am using the HTML img tag, and I have set a width of 520px, but for some reason the images are shown escalated to 350px wide.

Hi Pibo,

in your css find ”.main-container.internal img” and change the max-width property to what you want.

Hi,

Some questions : - Is it possible to put easily a full screen background image ? - Is it possible to change easily the colors of the texts ? - what kind of sliders is it the Layer slider 4.0 ? because I know how to use it in wordpress but how can you do the same in a simple html ?

Thx in advance

Yelo

KennyWilliams

Hey Yelo,

The ability to add a full screen BG image is not part of landahoy. It can be done but you would have to custom dev it.

It is easy to change the colour of text. The slider is sequence slider, all slides have custom transitions suited for the slide and images in that slide.

hello,

i bought your website within thje envato bundle.

two questions:

- how can you change the color of the three loading dots which will appear in the slider area?

- how can you decrease the slider height? the image has a lot of space to the upper title and the lower navi dots.

thanks

br,

newbie2004

KennyWilliams

Hey Newbie,

The loading dots colour can be changed in sequence.js file, just do a search for#26a3ea and replace with your own colour.

To change the slider height, update #header style is your css file. Beware the animations of the devices are based off the relative space they are in.

Hello Kenny,

Having a small problem with the template.

When I change <title>Landahoy</title> or add the description to <meta name=”description” content=””> and save…then the entire alignment of the sheet is thrown off at bottom of page….mainly everything in the features (thumb photos) section down at the bottom of the index.html page.

Any ideas?

thanks

Hey, nice template, congrat’s.

I have a problem with some links and inputs.

Look this in your iphone for example: http://gfroes.com/preview/packmachine/?page=contato Try to select one input, do u know whats happening?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hug.

KennyWilliams

Hey Smilee,

Have you purchased this? Graphic River indicates you haven’t.

Your problem is the first two inputs not being selectable, then this is related to the #header being to tall, add the class .internal to the #header on your contact page.

Hi, I’D love to purchase this great landing page theme. However, I need five sections in a line. Is that also possible? Now, you’ve only got three… And if so, how is that possible? Can you sell me an edited file?

Thanks!

KennyWilliams

Hi, five columns can easily be done. If you purchase it, just private message me your email and I will sort out the 5 columns for you.

Hi

I installed your page on www.stoutkieken.be I have added two links (to the logo at the left-top and in the footer). However when I click the link (in Safari) nothing happens. When I click open in new window it works. Very strange, any ideas?

Thanks

tom

KennyWilliams

Hi Tom,

This is really strange, does this problem happen on your local computer or just on the web server? I have looked at your URL and your code is fine yet the link outs do not work. Can you please check your file permissions on the web server, make sure your CHOMOD is set to 644.

Please email me through my profile page if the CHOMOD settings don’t fix your issue.

Hi Kenny, just purchased the Landahoy template and used it for an app landing page. I think the template looks good and is quite flexible. So thanks!

However, I was wondering if you could address some potential issues with the App Store marketing guidelines issued by Apple. See https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=8142013a (though you may need to be a DevProgram member to get at these).

1) The use of the Apple logo is a no-no. Released apps should use the App Store badge, and I guess unreleased “coming soon” apps will have to do with text. Other platforms may have similar rules, but I’m focusing on Apple for now.

2) Apple wants us to use the latest phone models in marketing graphics, which at this time means iPhone 5S and/or 5C (and similarly for other iOS devices), so using a white iPhone 5 is kind of against the guidelines. I don’t know how aggressively Apple enforces these, but they do keep a tight brand. So would it be possible for you to update the template with the latest product graphics? I could maybe do it myself for my case, but for the sake of future users it might be good to bring these up to date.

3) Also, the slide with the three iPhones is slightly bending the guidelines: product images should not be stacked on top of each other.

But otherwise it’s all good, so thanks again, and keep up the good work!

Hello

I have purchased this as part of the Envato mobile bundle. Is version 3.0 that was included in the bundle still OK to be used, or has there been an update which includes major/important fixes?

Thank you Roger

KennyWilliams

Hey Roger, there has no fixes since you bought the bundle.

Just picked up the template, and so far I love it. It is well documented and I appreciate you creating this product.

I have a request. For now, I’d like to not have a slide show, but have a single image that fills the entire browser left to right. (just to get the site up and running) Is this something that is easy to modify in this template? I can see how to pull out the slide show code, but not sure the best way to put in the single image code.

Thank you.

KennyWilliams

Hi, I would recommend implementing Backstretch for your single image. It is very easy to install, just follow their demo:

Thank you KennyWilliams for the link. It looks like this plugin will work for me based on some experimentation.

I have started removing the slide show code out of my file. I am left with the header div that has just the logo and start menu. I think I need to create another div under this, with a class I can then attach to backstretch as I don’t want the image behind the logo or menu bar. What do you recommend for splitting the header div or making a new div?

KennyWilliams

Hi, becuase you want your image full width you will have to create a new div in between div class=”header-container” and div class=”main-container”

Here’s a clean install of landahoy, downloaded from themeforest today (as part of the envato mobile bundle). I have not made any modifications, just uploaded the folder ‘landahoy_online’:

http://goo.gl/11gMA4

If you open this page on an iPhone (in my case iPhone 5 with iOS 7.0.3), the header and the footer logo are only displayed partially. I case you don’t have the same device for testing, here is a screenshot of what it looks like:

If I open Landahoy on your demo page (http://make-lemonade.co/themes/landahoy/), it displays fine on my iPhone.

What is the difference between the two versions – or what do I need to do to fix the header and the footer logos? Thanks for your help!

KennyWilliams

There are a couple of changes since that version. For your version you need to update/add the background-size property in the main.css file for media queries on logos.

@media (min--moz-device-pixel-ratio: 1.5),
    (-o-min-device-pixel-ratio: 3/2),
    (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.5),
    (min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.5),
    (min-resolution: 1.5dppx) {
    /* on retina, use image that's scaled by 2 */
.logo{
    background: url(../img/logo@2x.png) no-repeat 0 0;
    background-size: 167px 39px;
}
}

Awesome – it works (had to do the same for .logofoot). Thanks for your great support!
