Any news from you Oliver? You wanted to launch 1-2 new themes and a plugin a while ago.

webmandesign

Hi Pedro,

I guess it doesn’t make sense to write you some “excuses”. I can only ask you for more time… ;)

Thanks,

Oliver

Hello Again Oliver,
Thanks for all the help so far with your great LesPaul theme.
I have a few questions:
1. You stated in a comment long ago that you were going to add the Infinite Scroll feature to the Gallery.
How do I use this feature for my Gallery posts on a page (not portfolio page) using the Gallery shortcode?
2. If you never added infinite scroll, then what is the shortcode for making the Gallery have pagination without using the Portfolio Page template which has paging with 4 columns of pics and 12 total pics per page? (see this page: www.thehmanvideogame.com/media and click the PHOTOS sub nav)
3. How do I turn off those ICONS on the Home page by the MEET THE CAST members?
Thanks again for your help in advance,
Steve

www.thehumanvideogame.com/media this is the link in number 2.

webmandesign

Hi Steve,

1) The infinite scroll functionality is not added in the theme yet. However, it was never meant for WordPress Gallery shortcode if that’s what you mean.

2 + 3) Please log a ticket on http://support.webmandesign.eu so I can provide help on this.

I’ve just come across your theme and have been reading the comments and your replies with great interest.

Nomadic1 made a great comment on page 2 of the comments about how many themes look beautiful but have useless back-ends. I have just left a long review of another theme (The7), which I bought a month or so ago, saying both how beautiful it is, and how badly coded the back-end is, to the point where I’m thinking of giving up on it.

The real reason I’m commenting here now is to support you wholeheartedly in your resistance to requests to embed the Visual Composer plugin in your themes. It’s a disaster area, and I hope never to have to deal with it again.

You are clearly thinking about the functionality as well as the beauty of the theme. I want my site to be fast, not just pretty. So you seem like a developer to follow. I note you have said that you’re currently working on a couple of new themes. When will either of them be out?

webmandesign

Hi,

Thank you very much for your words! I really appreciate it!

Yes, Visual Composer will never get embeded in my themes. But as it is such widely spread I’ve found a better solution how to support it with my themes (for now only future ones). It’s more flexible solution and I always want to make the themes more and more flexible in terms of functionality and extendibility, and design of course ;)

I still work on a new theme. I’ve rebuilt the whole framework to make it even faster and more flexible and decided to follow 100% WordPress guidelines in building themes, so noone will have to get locked to any of my themes anymore (like it is the case with most of the themes here).

So all I can ask now, is to be (still) patient about release date of my new project. I really want it to be perfect! And it will! :)

Thanks and regards,

Oliver

This sounds really good! I have plenty of content still to create for the site I’m planning, so I can wait for a theme that is really good. And the other good part about what you’ve said is that, if noone will get locked into your themes any more, it should also be pretty easy to get my content into, and working with, your new theme.

I will check back periodically to look for news!

Tim

webmandesign

Yes, you will be able to switch the theme in the future with no or very minimal changes (actually, I can not control the front end appearance of any 3rd party theme, so expect some styling required in this field, to be honest…). And please, don’t get me wrong here – you will never want to change to a different theme! :) It’s just I want to play nice :)

I don’t mind a bit of styling at all. But I’m really looking forward to seeing what this theme looks like!

Hello, I’m planning to buy this theme and develop my companys site from this. I have two question I would be happy if you could answeer though:

  • Is it possible to create two or three different “blogpost” flows with this theme? For example using different categories. We have at least one project going on all the time, that needs its own newsflow, so to speak. Could I make this easy somehow, using different categories or so?
  • I don’t seem to find how the submenu looks like – could you have different submenus on different pages? (for example let the “pressroom” have its own submeny with related choices)?

Hoping to buy this theme, it’s very hard to find the right one!

Åsa

webmandesign

Hi Åsa,

Thank you for the interest in the theme!

  1. Yes, you can create several different blog flows with the theme. It includes a custom “Blog” page template where you can select the posts to be displayed from a specific category and even change the layout in which the posts are displayed.
  2. Not quite sure what you mean here… There are submenus in navigation. If you mean a submenu in a sidebar that will display specific subpages (or siblings) of the curent page, you can see the example at http://themes.webmandesign.eu/lespaul/templates/right-sidebar/
Hope these info answered your questions.

Best regards,

Oliver

Hi Oliver, thanks so much for your fast reply! Exactyl the answers I needed, really helpful. I hope I’ll be able to start building the new site soon, so I’m sure I’ll be in touch :) Best regards, Asa

Hi again Oliver, I have one final question before purchase. Can I place the News-selection further up at a front page? I’m talking about the “Recent News” section you have on all the Home Page options. I would like to have more focus on our News section so I will need to move it up in the layout.

webmandesign

Hi Asa,

Sure thing. This can be done easily by moving the shortcode to any place you need.

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

I purchased the !LesPaul theme a few times, so you can assume I love what you do. I want to purchase it once more, but I have a quick question: Can I configure custom HTML divs that will open in a lightbox? For example, please go to the following link and scroll down until you see the “Free Trial” and “Request a Demo” CTAs. Click on them. http://www.ravellosystems.com/blog/start-scratch-enterprise-devops-adoption/

Thanks, Yaniv

webmandesign

Hi Yaniv,

Yes, I think this is doable with PrettyPhoto lightbox included in the theme. For assistance please log a ticket on the support forum at http://support.webmandesign.eu .

Or perhaps there is a plugin that can give you this functionality, which would be better as you woudn’t have to code anything.

Hello Oliver,

Theme is great and the customization options are really well laid out.

I have one issue, and I’m sure its something small you can give me a quick excerpt answer to.

I have installed the website and imported the XML sample content (and the JSON widgets). Besides this I haven’t touched anything else…besides changing READING to “Homepage V5..” for some reason though when I am editing a PAGE there is a JAVASCRIPT conflict causing all of your option dropdowns (including YOAST SEO) to not display. Yoast shows up, but isn’t clickable to actually EXPAND.

I have them setup to view on my view options, and during the PAGE LOAD you can see them briefly.

JS console shows these errors.

None of which seem to be whats causing this issue.

SIDENOTE: Again, I have not installed anything but the REQUIRED PLUGINS (I actually omitted installed WOOCOMMERCE…since I won’t be needing it..if that matters)

webmandesign

Hi,

Weird issue here. Have you installed the most recent theme version? Can you please log a ticket on http://support.webmandesign.eu and post also admin access, if this is possible, so I can check the issue personally please?

Hello, Is it possible that we can update the plugins on ourselves, somehow? For example Layerslider 5+ has been released, There is no option to update. Is there any particular reason for this?

webmandesign

Hi,

I pack the most recent plugins versions with the theme updates. Surely I can not manage the theme updates as fast as the new plugins versions are released, unfortunatelly. This is kind of downsize of the fact that the plugins comes free with the theme.

If you want the plugins to be up to date always, you will have to buy a plugin licence. That way you will receive plugin updates independantly on the actual theme updates.

Thanks for understanding.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method WC_Shipping::get_available_shipping_methods() in /home/pure/domains/jupiterscubadiving.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/lespaul/woocommerce/checkout/review-order.php on line 16

My wordpress/woocommerce store has been using this theme for a while now and its been broken since the latest woocommerce update. Any help fixing this would be greatly appreciated. Love your theme!

webmandesign

Hi,

The issue is due to major updates in WooCommerce 2.1.0 plugin. The fix will be introduced in the theme update soon. Meanwhile you can see/download the fix on http://support.webmandesign.eu

Just got informed for an update, but there is nothing to see here. Still 1.9.5 since 14th Dec. ??

Anyway Oliver… about 9 months ago you told us there were new themes to come soon. Anything in next days?

webmandesign

Hi Pedro,

I always have to wait until ThemeForest approve my submissions, including updates. So I just update the theme info after I receive the email from TF. And as it is Sunday night, I don’t check the email so often ;)

As for new theme, I’ve rebuild the whole framework and actually planing whole redesign of my website and support forum with releasing the new theme, so some more time required still. But not long now…

Regards,

Oliver

pedro-tirolo

ok… if there is very soon a solution, I would look into your new themes. More pages planned in March. Just tested 2.0 but have a bug. I created a page and wanted to define this as blog, but the folder blog or any other like map, redirect, portfolio, landing page,... do not show anything. Did I understand something wrong? Page is naked – just for testing

webmandesign

Hi Pedro,

You mean the page settings tabs don’t work for you? I have no issue with those on my server. It may be caused by some plugins interactions. Please disable all your plugins to see if the issue persists. If it does, please check the support forum as there were similar issues reported in the past, so you can already find a solution in there: http://support.webmandesign.eu

Hi, For some reason I can’t put more then 90 items in the menu. can you fix that?

webmandesign

Hi,

The theme don’t limit the number of menu items. So this might be either a WordPress limitation or some of your plugins limits this. You can try to log a ticket on http://support.webmandesign.eu so I can provide some more help.
