great theme, love it!

just one question: when i try to change parameters for the slider (within the javascript) nothing changes. i set different pauseTime and animSpeed but that doesn’t seem to do naything, soame with animation, even i chnage it from ‘random’ to ‘fade’ it still uses random. are those changes overwrittin by the any css or so? i googled the nivoslider site but doesn’t really help Probably because i am not a developer).

just thought you might have an answer.

I know I mentioned this before regarding the speed of the theme and we did add wp cache but it is still running really slow. I would like to wrap the files in conditional tags because it is loading all 17 javascript files for every page regardless if it uses those things or not. SINCE I do not know for sure what files are needed for what page it makes it hard for us to do this.

Is this something you might consider doing for this theme OR can you possibly help us by providing us with info so we can add conditional tags?

Or is there any other advice you can offer to speed the theme up?

I am really puzzled right now. I checked out the live preview and saw some new features I wanted so I decided to update the theme. However, it doesn’t look anything like the live preview!

• The font size is smaller
• The socialbar text and icons are different. I checked the image path to one of the icons on the preview and they are located in a “sociables” folder, which doesn’t even exist in my downloaded version.
• I don’t see to have access to adding the text box to the slider
• The sub-title (The orange text) is different

These are just some of the things that I have noticed so far. For a while I thought that maybe some of the settings/my changes have overwritten the new files, but when I tried to do a clean install of the theme the differences are still there. What is going on ?

Ok, I managed to add the text box to the slider by adding the following in the img tag in the slider php file:

title=”<?php echo get_post_meta( $post?>ID, “slider_text”, true ); ?>”

Where slider_text is a custom field I added. As you can see, the entry in the slider text box is the value of the title attribute.

I do still, however, wonder how I use the lightbox the way you have done on the “About” preview page. I managed to make the lightbox work, but the hover over effect on the thumb isn’t working properly at all.

First : Great theme ! I’ve got the same problem that Amento. How it’s possible to update to the last version 1.3 and have access to new functions like the text box in the slider ? Thanks

I’ve switched back to the old version, I hope you’ll get to finish the new version soon

You probably know already but I just mention other things that I noticed with the new version:

• The option to disable the JQuery scroll was missing
• Blog entries no longer automatically shorten posts (which can be done manually with the <!- more ->) but suddenly having to do this in every single blog entry is extremely inconvenient, you could add an potion that automatically adds it.
• Enabling/Disabling the navigation bar thingy (I don’t quite remember and I can’t test since I’ve reverted to old version) totally messed up the menu.

I also have a question: How can I remove the shadow around the slider and add my own border or more easily, my own background image? (In that case an image a bit bigger than the slider images, making it look like a frame.

Another suggestion I’d very much like is to be able to set index page to the blog and disable the current welcome page.

Still waiting for a response on the issue I am having with the theme being so slow. I have posted about this a few times. Client is not happy with it and I can’t do anything to fix it with out info from you. Can you help?

I cannot get the blog page to work, it will not display posts. I followed the video instructions carefully.

My single post page was a bit messed up, and I found that the footer is included in the top of the single.php AND at the bottom (Where it is included in all the other files) I believe this is a bug and I just wanted to let you know.
