edit the style in the correct css file you are using – if you use firefox with the firebug plugin installed you can select any item on the page and find it’s properties / change them and see your alterations immediately before actually changing the css – I would recommend doing that.

Hi – there’s 2 steps to this.

Step 1 – Open up jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js and scroll all the way down to the bottom. Around line 431 you will see the captionOpacity: 0.8 – change this to 0.0

Step 2 – Open up style.css and scroll down to about line 2241 – you are going to want to remove the .nivo-caption and the .nivo-caption p from the css

Ok, thanks but it took away the shaded area at the bottom of the slider. How do I get that back but just get rid of the top of the slider only?

Making those changes shouldn’t of done that because it’s a completely different class.. odd. You can try putting everything back that you changed and don’t set a title on the image.. Maybe that will work for you – otherwise I would use firefox and firebug so you can play around with the css to get the result you would like for your personal customization.

I have a list here of every template file that has the hard coded english for you to change – it’s a rather long list – but only 1 or 2 words to change.

paste html in to your post or page via the HTML tab not the wysiwyg tab editor as you normally would in wordpress.

Did you choose your category from the admin panel for the posts you can’t see – sounds like you need to read the documentation which details how to show and setup your homepage.

Hi – we’ve never used the e-commerce plugin so I couldn’t tell you.

Greetings – I can only recommend that you revert back to your downloaded files if you have made CSS changes as the theme displays fine as provided maybe you have installed a plugin that is causing issues? Try deactivating and removing any extra plugins if you have them

Also providing specific type of browser and version number would also be required

Hi and thank you for your purchase. To change font color and heading without. Hanging the other pages, no you would need to create a new class for this. Also it’s the same response for the drop down menu – the all share the same class so there’s no way to separate them.

No – the breadcrumb doesn’t show home/portfolio/portfolio-item because portfolio is a custom post type and the breadcrumb plugin doesn’t recognize this so it’s puts “blog” there instead..

If you want to remove the featured image when you click through to the blog you would need to edit all 5 single-....php templates to remove the <?php the_post_thumbnail('blogposts');?>. This will get you exactly what you were wanting. The template file names you will need to edit are : single_blogfull.php, single_fullimgrightsidebar.php, single_leftsidebar.php, single-rightsidebar.php and single.php.

What is your thought on installing this theme on a host installed WP blog? Would that cause issues and should I manually install WP on my site?

Also I did not install the XML file, so in the manual is says I need to “Add Custom Field” and call it “alt” to add captions to images within posts. But I cannot seem to figure out how to do that. Theres nowhere to input that. Can you elaborate more on that procedure?

One more thing I added,

.alignleft { display: inline; float: left; //add padding and margins and borders as you see fit// } .alignright { display: inline; float: right; //add padding and margins and borders as you see fit// } .aligncenter { display: inline; float: center; //add padding and margins and borders as you see fit// } to my style.css because the text was not wrapping around my images in posts. Is this a known issue of something with my install?

As for the alignleft etc – no, it’s not a problem with the install. Not sure what happened there, thanks for bringing this to our attention. We will have to see what happened and release an update (if necessary).

Hi Julia – you can always swap out the font used via the style sheet – if you open it up it’s just the same as a regular html style sheet – change the font /. sizes etc etc – now it could be that you may want to go and get a new @font-face pack of the font in question that includes all glyphs – standard @font-face packs offer the most optimal characters – not all because it increases size of files, and some fonts don’t offer international characters – you can get the font name from the help file or by looking in the style sheet – if you want to swap it out then simply go ahead and do that for sure.

As for multi language – I believe some authors have used this before but I am not sure if they had to change anything or if it worked right of the bat – same with Briuan also – but I appreciate your input.

That’s very strange. No we’ve never had that before. Our live preview has been running since November 2010 and still no issues there. Have you recently updated your site, server, plugins or anything like that?

I apologize somehow I had deleted the portfolio link from the primary menu and not the main menu. So I added it back to the primary menu. The only issue I still have is the links at the bottom of the main portfolio page that go to the next page gives me an error, as if the next page does not exist, I’ve had this issue before and forgot how it got fixed.

Hi and thank you for your purchase and your kind comments. No I have never seen the flashing before. I would try removing the widgets you have on the homepage first and seeing if there is a conflict somewhere. As for the Portfolio Banner, yes, you can remove this by editing the style.css for this class ” #page_wrapper_portfolio and removing the background image.

The page has a background that is a repeatable pattern, if you look in the img folder of the color you are running for page_bgrnd.jpg you will see that the dark background for the header is a preselected size. If you want to increase this you would need to recreate an image that allowed for a bigger section for the header dark background that holds the log.

Hi and thank you for your purchase. I can see the images on your La Nostra Offerta page – I don’t see red x’s? Red x’s generally mean that the browser you are using can not see the images that are supposed to be there. Can you tell me what browser you are using?

As for inserting images into your home page, can you be a little more specific please? When I click on your logo (presuming it takes me to your homepage) all I see is a blank page? Did you set your static page as per the documentation? Create a page called home and choose your page template and then from the WP admin area Settings / Reading choose which page will be your static home page.

Hi a red X means a missing image as already stated. As for customizing things – yes everything is possible but you will need to explore the slider authors site on how and what to remove / change and alter as customizations are not included in support unfortunately. The slider used is the nivo slider – a quick search in google will get you to their website.
