Light of Peace - Wordpress Template

It’s crazy how hard this theme is to install. I have seen comments telling me to only upload the LOP folder after unzipping it but the file I downloaded does not have an LOP folder.

Can somebody tell me how to install this theme? Easily the most difficult theme I’ve ever worked with. I’ve read that I should upload a LOP folder that doesn’t exist in my download.

Any advice?

As I said, I have looked multiple times for the LOP folder within the Theme Forrest download. It’s not there.

I’m going to preface by saying I am not a tech person, so please forgive my ignorance. It’s been about 10 years since I worked with html. I would like your help with the following.

Questions: How do I remove the preset Menu links: Top left: Service Time Footer: LightofPeace Tab: black and white cross

I would like the logo on the top of this page to connect with my organizations home page (http://www.thepeacecenter.org/) – how do I change the link?

“Once the theme is installed you will see a new menu on the bottom left side of your WordPress admin.” I don’t have this option. What did I do wrong?

How do I select content for the tabs?? This is not clear at all. What is the field entitled “query” for? Please help. I have a purchase code and have applied for the forum and I’m still not able to access it.

Now, when I add a link to a slide on the homepage, the image does not appear. When I remove the link, the image appears again. Don’t want to rush to judgement however this seems to be a serious glitch I cannot figure out.

This is in regards to the slider. I am able to get the picture in, but when I put something in for the URL it doesn’t seem to have a hotspot on the picture to take it to my page.

I also tried to put an tag into the description in order to put a read more type link in, but it didn’t like this. Is it possible to put a link within the text of a slider?

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried to upload the layout.css file reference in the link and that didn’t help. will the changes also allow the description to take html? It would be nice to be able to put a tag in the text and then I can just have a “read more…” in the description to take them to another page. Just a thought.

When do you think your theme changes will be available? Understand if that is just not able to be known.

update – thought about it further and tried Firefox and the URL link works – its an IE9 thing. Chrome, Safari also were OK. Not sure about other versions of IE.

The issue is still the problem with IE9 (at least) not allowing the URL link to be defined (the a tag). It does seem fine in all browsers other than IE9 – not sure about other versions of IE, though.

I really need the picture to lead to a message that can be linked on.

Right now I just have a sample page defined with the main slide. Waiting to get it fixed to bring in my other slide.

Also, I did replace the layout css with the one in the link you gave me earlier and that didn’t help (at least for IE9 , not sure if that made the other browsers work or not).

I am having terrible difficulty adding this theme to my wordpress site! I have followed all the instructions included with the download precisely, I have even used dreamhost as my host because it is supposed to make this sort of thing easy. Anyway, it won’t activate the theme I purchased because it says it is missing the functions.php file. But, when I look in the directory that file is plainly right there.

I have tried to install this theme via options a and b, and neither of them will work.

Please help!

I am trying to get my prayer request button to work, how do I link it to an email address?

Is anyone else having issues with the homepage tabs? I’ve created slugs for each of my posts and post categories and copy/pasted them into the “Tab Query” input boxes, but each tab is still calling ALL of the posts.

How can I fix this?

I am having this same problem too. The tabs are not pulling in the content I set within the admin homepage settings. All tabs are pulling in ALL posts. Please help!!!
