i just purchased your theme but can’t work out how to control (limit) the number of Recent Posts on the homepage. I have my homepage set ‘Your latest posts” and have tried various limit post queries in the loop you are using but none of them work.
How to limit the posts per page for these recent posts section on the homepage ?

I’m sorry i got an email asking same question, and i thought it’s the same person as you.
To limit the posts, you can setting it up via WordPress native setting.
1. Go to Dashboard->Setting->Reading
2. You will see setting : “Blog pages show at most”
3. Put the number you want the posts to shown up.

your recent post loop in index.php is overriding the default reading settings..that is why I asked you how to edit the recent posts loop code in index.php to control the number there.
No it doesn’t overiding it, the codes you see like the wp query post argument are used for only the headline carousel and the featured slider, it passed into the function plus62_custom_loop_posts(), but it doesn’t affect the default query.
OK thanks for the response so something else weird must have been happening as it wasn’t working that way for me..Anyway in the time it took you to respond I ended up re-engineering it to work the way I need it to work.
