Hi,

The latest theme update has a few months, but the theme is perfectly compatible with latest WordPress version.

Let me know if you have other questions!

Thank you!

Hi guys, congrats for the theme, I’ve quite completed my website but I have a couple of questions. I see you are missing some basic things on your theme, hopefully there is a solution (even if custom) or maybe you are already working on them, as they are really important for my project and I’m sure for other users too.

1. Breadcumbs: Is it possible to add them? If possible on the left of main page title. ex. PARTENT PAGE – CURRENT PAGE

2. Search is really wired, I think you are using the default WP one, but providing your customers with a very useful portfolio section without a search function inside is not so usable… How can I make the search function work with portfolio items? Or if not possible do you know another solution to search inside a portfolio?

4. How can I add a text description to a portfolio section? When I set the page template as portfolio I cannot add any intro text to the page as the editor disappear, I’d like to have a text intro above portfolio items.

5. Are there available shortcodes to insert a particular portfolio inside a standard page? If not, how can I add a specific portfolio inside a page?

4. Services do not support shortcodes, right?

5. Last thing…strangely on homepage slider the text was positioned differently from your demo, it was below each image on a black background, then without doing anything now I see it changed position and is on the left as your demo, do you mind what happened?

Thanks for your support!

Hi,

Thank you for using my theme for your project. I appreciate it. I`m aware that the theme needs some improvements/new features, in order to keep it up to date and interesting, but many of them can be easily achieved with plugins. Now, answering to your questions:

1. You can try this plugin to generate breadcrumbs for the website: https://wordpress.org/plugins/breadcrumb-navxt/

2. The search functionality is indeed, based on the default WordPress one. To extend it, you can use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/relevanssi/

To enable the WordPress editor and to add content on the portfolio page, you need to edit “wp-content/themes/line/template-portfolio.php”. Add the default WordPress loop above <ul class="portfolio" ...=""> </ul>

<?php
        if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post();
            the_content();
        endwhile; endif;
?>

You can`t use shortcodes inside services and also, there aren`t available shortcodes for portfolio items, nor ways to display projects on regular pages. I`m sorry about that.

Regarding the slider issue, can you please share with me a link to your website so I can take a closer look?

Thank you!

I read information that theme is not compatible with WMPL and I can translate Website to one language (that was 1 year ago) Is theme compatible with WPML now?

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Thanks for your comment. At this moment, the theme is still not compatible with WPML. I hope to make the feature available in the future, asap.

Thank you!

Hi, future is 2 far for me ;) i want to do this alone.

Is it difficult to integrate wpml yourself?

DeliciousThemes

Actually, is not that complicated. You need to follow this tutorial: http://wpml.org/?p=125259 Make sure to create a language configuration file too, to complete the process: http://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/

Thank you!

Hi guys, I need to filter the homepage portfolio block on a specific category, I’ve read a previous comment where you say that it’s not supported and the block is meant to work for latest projects, but I think it’s a really basic feature missing here and blocking for me, it should there be a way at least changing some code… can you helm me please? Thanks.

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

You can filter the homepage portfolio block based on specific categories. You need to edit a theme file. Open “line/includes/homepage-portfolio-posts.php” and locate:

$args = array(
    'orderby'=> 'post_date',
    'order' => 'rand',
    'post_type' => 'portfolio',
    'posts_per_page' => $portfolio_nr
);

You need to add 2 more parameters to the list:

$args = array(
    'orderby'=> 'post_date',
    'order' => 'rand',
    'post_type' => 'portfolio',
    'term' => 'portfolio_cats',
    'portfolio_cats' => 'my-category',
    'posts_per_page' => $portfolio_nr
);

Change “my-category” with the category that you want to use as a filter.

That should do it!

Thank you!

Hi there!

I have two questions concerning the navigation, I hope you can help me with that.

1. For the 1st level navigation elements that have 2nd level elements, I want the 1st level not to be clickable, just the 2nd level. Actually just the way you have it in the demo. On mouseover the 2nd level opens, but the 1st level element is not clickable. How do I do that?

2. I need two different sub menus. When I use the “Features” template the way you described it in the doc, I can use it only for one menu element. How do I implement two different sub menus? For example in your demo the main menu elements “Pages” and “Features” have different submenus, that’s what I need, too.

Best regards, Patrick

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

1. You should build the 1st level navigation menu item as a Link with an empty URL or with the # symbol for URL: http://awesomescreenshot.com/0a938jn1cc

2. What you need is multiple sidebars on the website, in which you can place as many menus as you wish. Install this plugin to generate new sidebars: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-page-sidebars/screenshots/

Thank you!
