Dear,

When I change the color scheme, it does not work, I think style sheet url is wrong, it is from localhost.

Hi,

Thank you for letting me know. Indeed, I tested the style switch on localhost. Now I fixed it and it should work fine! :)

Thanks again!

Very nice work!

How flexible is the homepage? Can the headline under the slider be removed? Can other widgets be used on the homepage?

Is there any chance of adding a true full width homepage slideshow option where the slide panel extends to the edges of the browser? This would then be a true full width presentation and make this theme practical for so many potential sites.

Can additional sliders be placed on other pages with custom widths?

Thanks

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Thank you for your comment. Answering to your questions:

1. The homepage can be built in 2 ways: Using a custom page(any type of page, built with shortcodes or by using a custom page template like Blog) or by using the Homepage Layout Manager from within Theme Options Panel( http://bit.ly/UVChiD ). Adding/Removing things is quite easy and yes, the headline can be removed.

2. I`m taking knowledge of your suggestion and I`m thinking to implement the full-width slider feature in the next update. Thank you for this! :)

3. Additional sliders can be built and placed on other pages. At this moment, they supports only the homepage slider dimensions(940×395px) but custom widths will be added in the next update.

Thanks again for all your suggestions!

Thanks for your quick response.

For the full width slider it would be good to have flexibility if we don’t want to use the text box over the slider.

It would also be great if we can either set a colour or place a background image for the header area and page title areas.

:)

Got it! :) The theme already have some styling options which customize some theme areas( http://deliciousthemes.com/line/screenshots/options-styling.png ), so adding more wouldn`t be a problem.

Hi,

Thank you for this very nice & clean theme!

Unfortunately it looks like all my posts are in the “excerpt” textarea, but i want to show the full posts only.

From the Documentation: “When you add blog posts, you can use the “Excerpt” textarea to add the excerpt of the post. This way, the content won`t get cut when you view it on blog page.”

Where can i find the different text areas when i write a post?

Thank you for your help!

Regards

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Thank you for purchasing my theme. The page blog was built to use the excerpt textarea and that`s why you can`t display full blog posts on the blog page.

The fix is simple. Open “includes/loop-blog.php” and locate the current function which handles the excerpt(should be between lines 31-33):

<div class="excerpt">
    <?php the_excerpt(); ?>
</div>

Replace that content with this new one:

<div class="excerpt">
    <?php
        global $more;
        $more = 0;
        the_content('<span class="more-btn">Read More</span>');
    ?>
</div>

Now you should be able to display on the blog page full posts or only a part of them(by using the more tag inside posts).

Thank you again for the purchase and if you have other questions, don`t hesitate to contact me!

Thank you for your fast answer!

The fix solved it (thanks!).

Now i just have to try out why the bold text (and for example also the list function) will not display on the blog… :-)

P.S. are ther any other fonts available?

DeliciousThemes

To enable blog bold text, add to style.css:

strong {
     color: #000;
     font-weight: bold;
}

For the lists, try to wrap your list into a list shortcode. Check them out: http://demo.ourtuts.com/line/tables-and-lists/

I didn`t wanted to implement other fonts into the theme just to keep it lightweight and fast. My suggestion is to make use of a wp plugin called Wp Google Fonts which allows you to use Google WebFonts inside the theme.

Thank you!

Thanks for your help!

It works fine now.

Will these changes be kept if there are updates for this theme? Or should this changes be written in a “custom” file? (sorry, i’m a wordpress-newbie and not familiar with updates functions etc.)

P.S. i would like to use an other twitter widget. Unfortunately with two widget i tried, the tweets are not displaying. It works only with your widget (line twitter). Do you have an idea?

Sorry for my bad englisch and for all my many questions.

Kind regards

Is it possible to use [list style=”arrow”] in “Homepage Services” in Theme options?

DeliciousThemes

Yes, it is possible. The area called “Shortcodes for Homepage Services” was built to support not only services shortcodes, but any shortcode. So, use them without problem.

Thank you!

Default-user

Hi,

I tried using it under “Service Item Text” but it shows up as with the shortcode itself on the web page. Can you advise please..

DeliciousThemes

Oh, you want to use shortcodes inside a service item built in Theme Options. Unfortunately, this can`t be done but there is still a solution: Instead of creating the services items from within Theme Options, create them in Services->Add New.

Then come back to Theme Options and drop inside “Shortcodes for Homepage Services” the shortcodes for the services you have built. You can wrap them like this to have them in columns:

[column size="one-third"][service id=id1][/column]
[column size="one-third"][service id=id2][/column]
[column size="one-third" position="last"][service id=id3][/column]

How can i Inser those icons in the footer widget?

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Thank you for purchasing my theme. If you`re talking about “GET IN TOUCH WITH US” widget, the structure is like this:

<ul id="contact-widget">
    <li class="address">Address: 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043</li>
    <li class="phone">Phone: +321 123 456 7</li>
    <li class="email">E-mail: <a href="mailto:">johndoe@ipsum.com</a></li>
</ul>

Drag a “Text” widget inside the “Footer” area and drop the code there: http://www.webpagescreenshot.info/i/99634-1218201252533pm.jpg

I’m going for a 3 column layout for the services section on the homepage, in the final column i would like to use a the news (recent post) widget that is used in the footer, is this possible??

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Thank you for purchasing my theme. Using widgets outside widgetized areas can`t be done without some WordPress tricks. I found a solution for your request: Using Widgets as Shortcodes. This feature will be integrated in a future theme update but until then, here`s how you can do it:

Open “functions/shortcodes.php” and add just after the beginning php tag <?php (line 1) this code(which is the function for transforming widgets into shortcodes): http://pastebin.com/F1TvaHsX

If you don`t have a text editor, I`m suggesting you install Notepad++ – http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

Because you want a different structure for your homepage services, you have to build them using shortcodes. Go to Services->Add New and add 2 services.

Now go to Appearance->Theme Options->Home and inside the “Shortcodes for Homepage Services” drop your services structure built with shortcodes. Mine looks like this:

[column size="one-third"][service id=61][/column]
[column size="one-third"][service id=63][/column]
[column size="one-third" position="last"]
<h3 class="service">BLOG POSTS</h3>
[widget name="dt_recent_posts" instance="title=&number=2"]
[/column]
http://www.webpagescreenshot.info/i/380476-1220201224745am.jpg

You can change the number of posts to show in the widget shortcode by modifying “number=2”.

As a final tweak, add to style.css:

.services .percent-one-third {
    margin-left:3%;
}

Let me know if you manage to integrate them.

Thank you!

I also have another request, is it possible to add the portfolio carousel to custom pages?

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

I`ve made a shortcode for portfolio carousel but didn`t advertised it enough. You can use:

[portfolio title="RECENT PORTFOLIO ITEMS" items=4]

It will render a full width carousel with the latest portfolio items.

Can I remove the right side bar on a blog page?

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

The blog page was built to have a sidebar. At this moment there isn`t a full-width blog page layer, therefore, removing the sidebar will make the blog page not look properly.

Hi

Does this theme come with PSD files?

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in my theme. Line comes with PSD files for the homepage, blog and inner pages which are enough to customize the entire theme.
