Hi, I was wondering If it is possible to change the column proportions of the footer so that two_thirds is allocated for the Copyright Info and one_third is used for the social media icons.

Instead of one_half & one_half

Thanks

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Yes, you can. You need to make a small code adjustment to footer.php so open footer.php and locate lines 30 and 38. Change the div classes to “one-third” and “two-third”.

Thank you!

Is it possible to have the nivo slider caption be in the bottom right hand corner, instead of the bottom left?

Also, I noticed in the demo that your parent pages in the toolbar aren’t clickable or don’t lead anywhere. How do I set that up?

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Yes, it is possible to have the nivo slider or left side. Open style.css and locate ”.nivo-caption”. Modify the parameters “left” to “right: and “padding” to other values. So the new styles for “nivo-caption” will be:

.nivo-caption {
    right: 0px;
    bottom:0px;
    background:#fff;
    color:#575757;
    width:375px;
    height:120px;
    z-index:8;
    padding: 0 0 10px 15px;
    opacity: 1;
    overflow: hidden;
    display: none;
    -moz-opacity: 1;
    filter:alpha(opacity=10);
}

Also, add to ”.nivo-controlNav” the “right:0;” parameter:

.nivo-controlNav {
    width: 390px;
    position: absolute;
    bottom: 126px;
    z-index: 1444;
    display:block;
    right: 0;
}

Also, modify the arrow positions:

a.nivo-prevNav {
    left:0px;
    bottom:0;
}
a.nivo-nextNav {
    background-position:-25px 0;
    left:25px;
    bottom:0;
}

Regarding the menu question, those parent pages aren`t pages. They are custom menu items created in “Appearance->Menus” which have ”#” as link.

Thank you!

hi there, the homepage slider is not working

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Can you please be more explicit about the issue you`re experiencing? Maybe you can provide me a link to the page with the problem.

Thank you!

Hi there,

Great them really enjoying setting my site up with it, and also great to see that you are so helpful and responsive to user queries.

I have 3 quick questions:

Question 1: with the slider: can I make the caption box smaller – ideally on or 1 or 2 lines? Probably just 1 line containing the caption title. Obviously the “read more” has to move with the resizing, as well as the bar that runs along the top of the the caption indicating what slide your on.

Question 2: can the caption box have a level of transparency

Question 3: In Firefox the whole banner is acting as a hyperlink, but in IE its only the Read More, is there anyway to make IE behave the same?

Many thanks

Mark

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Thank you for purchasing my theme and sorry for waiting that much for my reply. Answering to your questions:

1. Yes you can. The idea is to change the height of .nivo-caption. Open style.css and locate:

.nivo-caption {
    position:absolute;
    left:0px;
    bottom:0px;
    background:#fff;
    color:#575757;
    width:375px;
    height:120px;
    z-index:8;
    padding: 0 15px 10px 0;
    opacity: 1;
    overflow: hidden;
    display: none;
    -moz-opacity: 1;
    filter:alpha(opacity=10);
}

So, you need to change “height:120px” to something else. As you pointed out, you have to modify the position of slides number bar as well. In this case, modify the “bottom:126px”.

.nivo-controlNav {
    width: 390px;
    position: absolute;
    bottom: 126px;
    z-index: 1444;
    display:block;
}

2. The styles which handles the opacity of the caption are(styles located at .nivo-caption):

opacity: 1;
-moz-opacity: 1;
filter:alpha(opacity=10);

Modifying them to something small(0.7,0.7 and 7) will make the box less opaque.

3. To make the banner clickable in IE, locate ”.nivoSlider a.nivo-imageLink” and delete “display:none;”.

Thank you!

hi, what is the easiest way to edit the tagline on the homepage, I’d like to justify the text to the left, and add an image. Is this possible?

Many thanks Katy

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Thank you for purchasing my theme. The easiest way to modify the homepage tagline is to edit the styles for it. Open style.css and locate:

.intro {
    position:relative;
    padding:55px 20px;
    text-align:center;
    background:#f9f9f9;
    border-bottom:1px solid #e7e7e7;
    margin-bottom:10px;
}

If you want to justify the text to left, edit “text-align:center;” to “text-align:left;”.

Thank you!

How do I enable the cool filter by category option on Portfolio? Can’t find it anywhere. Thanks again! :D

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

You have to create a page, assign to it “Portfolio” template and publish the page. After that, you`ll see a new structure page which has categories and page options specific for portfolio. From there, choose “Portfolio Type:With Filter” and select some categories so you can enable filters on page.

Thank you!

Is it possible to increase the size of the logo a little? 60 px high is a bit tight. Thank you! Looking forward to diving further into the whole theme.

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Yes, you can increase the size of the logo. Open style.css, and locate:

.logo {
    position:relative;
    height:60px;
}

Change the value of “height” to something bigger to get some more space for logo.

Thank you!

Hi there again,

I just wanted to change the single portfolio appearance, get rid of the slider and put an image myself.

The problem is that, If I dont put an image in the slider, a grey box appears, you can check it out in http://www.fisnut.com/portfolio/fisioterapia-integral/

On top of the image you can see the grey box, where can I get rid of that ? I can manage myself with css and other codes, but I cant find the box anywhere.

Thank you very very much in advance

LaSelva studio

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

I like the way you customized the theme. Keep it up!

To remove that grey box you`re talking about, you have to edit style.css. Open style.css and locate:

#slides {
    margin-bottom:70px;
    padding:4px;
    border:1px solid #efefef;
    border-radius:3px;
}
<pre>

Remove all this code and the page should look better.

Thank you!</pre>

Wow ! Thank you very much for being so quick.

One more thing and I think thats it … where can I change the time of the slider, I mean, the frequency with which the images move.

Thank you !!!! ;)

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Open “js/custom-nivo.js” and edit:

animSpeed: 500, // Slide transition speed
pauseTime: 40000, // How long each slide will show

Thank you!

Like the look of your theme. I’m building a bilingual site – do you have any idea if your theme is compatible with the plugin qtranslate?

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in my theme. Because of the custom structure the theme has, at this moment it can`t be used as a multilingual site. The theme is ready for translate, but only in one language.

Thank you!

Hi,

Many thanks for getting back to with replies to my questions.

However I still have not managed to make the slider banner clickable in IE. I did as you said and deleted “display:none;”, and the code is now:

” /* If an image is wrapped in a link */ .nivoSlider a.nivo-imageLink { position:absolute; top:0px; left:0px; width:100%; height:100%; border:0; padding:0; margin:0; z-index:6; }”

But still cant click in IE, is there something I am missing or have done wrong?

Many thanks and kind regards

Mark

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Please send me a link to your webpage with the slider so I can give you a proper fix for the issue you have. I tested my solution and it works in my case.

Thank you!

Hi, Me again.. :)

I’ve managed to reduce the size of the slider caption box, however the caption title is then pushed down so I cant be seen. How doe you make the caption titles appear at the top of the caption box?

At the moment I have no captions titles which suits me, but then the problem is currently there is no way to hyperlink in IE, hopefully this problem you can tell me what else I need to do to fix this?

But second problem is that the 1st banner, and only on its first iteration has the slider number indicator bar half way up the slider(I guess marking the top of the caption box which is not there). Is there anyway to make this bar appear at the bottom of the slider?

Many thanks Mark

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

It seems that you need a custom structure for your slider. From what you told me, you don`t want any captions on the slider and need to put the slider bar at the bottom of the slider. You can do it by modifying some things. Firstly, open “js/jquery.nivo.slider.js” and locate on line 107:
jQuery(".nivo-controlNav").css({ "bottom":"126px"});
Modify the parameter to 0px. Now open style.css, locate
.nivo-controlNav {
    width: 390px;
    position: absolute;
    bottom: 126px;
    z-index: 1444;
    display:block;
}

and also modify the bottom parameter to 0. I still looking for a link to the theme so I can help you more on the issues.

Thank you!

Hi Delic,

Thanks for your response, but could you tell me if there is an easy way to add an image to the home page tagline?

All the best Katy

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

You can add an image to the tagline. But you need to add the html code for it. Here`s how. Firstly upload an image to your WordPress system. Go to Media->Add New and upload an image. Grab the URL for it: http://www.webpagescreenshot.info/i/904656-1202013105003pm.jpg

Then go in your page where you have the tagline and drop the html code for the image inside the tagline words: http://www.webpagescreenshot.info/i/130852-1202013110437pm.jpg Make sure you are in “Text” mode when you edit in WordPress so that your code can be valid.

Thank you!

I’ve managed to fix the IE slider hyperlink problem by adding following these instructions:

find .nivoSlider a.nivo-imageLink and add the following.. .nivoSlider a.nivo-imageLink { background:white; filter: alpha(opacity=0); opacity: 0; } This solved my issue. Hope it helps.

Thanks “

Many thanks Mark

Hello!

How can i add the “Related Projects” option to Portfolio items?

Btw awesome theme, I’m enjoying a lot setting it up. Congrats!

— Marc

:bashful: Never mind, I just found out it appears automatically as you add more portfolio items in the same category. :P

Best!

Hi

Nice theme, love the possibilities :)

Is it possible to remove the search function, from for example the full-width page?

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Thanks for your positive feedback. Yes, you can remove the search function from the full-width page template for example. To do it, open “template-fullwidth.php” and remove line 16:

<?php get_search_form(); ?>

That`s all. You can do this for any other template which has the function.

Thank you!

Dear DeliciousThemes,

The search doesn’t seem to work for us. When I enter a search query I get: “Sorry, but the requested resource was not found on this site. Try another search:”

Could you tell me what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance.

Btw, great theme. We love it.

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

Thank you for purchasing my theme. Line theme is using the searching functionality provided by WordPress. But as you already noticed, WordPress search function is not awesome. In fact it has been an issue since its beginnings. Search results are not as accurate as they should be, search criteria being set by date and not by relevance and searching only inside blog posts and sometimes in pages. Although WordPress does a great job when it comes to CMS, they still have to take care of this issues.

As an alternative, I`m suggesting you use a plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/relevanssi/

It`s a great plugin and offers better search results.

Thank you!

We are using only pages btw, we don’t use posts.

What is the easiest way to reduce the size of the “Clients” logos in order to fit more on one line? If you look at the link to my site below, you will see I have one too many to fit up on one line.

http://www.nardonechiropracticcenter.com/ncc/

Thank you – this theme is great!

DeliciousThemes

Hi,

You can do it in 2 ways:

1. With CSS. Open style.css and locate:

.clients li {
    display:inline;
    margin:10px 10px 9px;
    text-align:center;
}

It should be around line 660. Change “margin:10px 10px 9px;” to “margin:0;

2. I noticed that all the images are 165×85px. You can decrease the width of the images by adding to style.css:

.clients li img {
    width: 130px;
    height: auto;
}

Modify the width parameter to what value you want.

Thank you!
