I am amazed by how cool this looks on my blog :-D

However, I plan to use this on my personal blog, and I am a C.E.O. of a small startup company and I use the blog extensively when networking with other business men. Hence, the black layout is not very good. I am therefor wondering if you have any suggestions on how to make it white?

I can exchange the background, but the problem is of course that the posts are plain white. Is there some possbility that you could add the option to put a line or something around it so I could put a white bg in there instead? The black menu-box, top and footer would still work, but it would be more attractive for us business guys :-)

Really nice theme!

Might it be possible for the post and/or blog comments to expand in-screen, similar to what space-collective does?

mixey

Thanks!

Not at the moment, If sales amount will be large then I’ll consider upgrading the theme!

please send me a message throw my profile page, I’ll send you index.php file without getimagesize() function, or contact your hosting provider, ask them to enable that php function for you

Although this theme looks good, the code behind it is has some serious flaws. After installing the theme, since it behaved very oddly on my 10” netbook, I asked some friends for feedback. And it didn’t flow pretty well on any laptop or notebook either. Same goes when I tried it at a friends place, whom has a more than 20” screen. The posts crashes on top of the sidebar sometimes, at other times it falls off screen. It behaves very unpredictable. Putting in more widgets seems to stabilize it; but I don’t want to be forced to put widgets in there unless I have a need for them.

I noticed the same results as above mentioned on two of your other customers websites. And I get it; the theme IS optimized for standard resolution screens. But that should not mean it is close to unbearable on screens with slightly different resolution; especially as a notebook/netbook/laptop users are not a small minority.

This theme works only in a very specific resolution, or so it seems. I dont really understand how it can be a problem to fix it from the beginning? This shouldn’t be considered for an upgrade, it’s a vital flaw that should be fixed. It’s a great-looking theme, so why let something like this drag it down? This feels more like a great-looking beta release than a finished product.

Furthermore, the fact that you use huge background images makes it incredibly slow and clumsy. I am reluctant to post it here, but the comment from one of my friends was, quote: “Your blog runs like a dog with no legs on my laptop”. And sadly, that’s true. The background issue can easily be resolved by changing it from one huge picture to a 3-pixel wide picture that repeats across the screen. However, I am no coder, so I can’t fix it myself.

Perhaps there should also have been a basic option of “no background” or “background color”? As is, it’s either one of the giant pics, and neither works out especially well on most laptops.

I am sorry if I come off as rude or unappreciative, but this theme runs real bad. On the plus side is you can easily fix this.

mixey

I just updated some js code it should solve a tiny bug with init reposition. it should be available for download in 24 hours or so.

About the background please send me a message throw the profile page, I’ll give instructions how to remove it ;)

Can you let me know how to use the rel=”prettyPhoto”?

Thank you

the main thing that bothers me about this theme is the fact that the single post view scales to about the width of the screen. This is nice for a small screen, but for large screens unacceptable. Can this be changed easily?

mixey

Yes, you can change that in the css from % based width to the px based

Love the theme… but how do I get the contact form you have on the contact page in your demo? (Sorry, if it’s a stupid question)

Also, I saw you said you ‘updated’ this theme. Can you specify what you’ve changed?

Thanks

mixey

Redownload zip from themeforest, take new js.js file and upload it to your server. js/js.js

For the contact form I’m using Plugin called Contact Form 7

Theme works without any problem. I love it.

You can check out mine: http://astuff.net

I just would like to know how to use the prettyPhoto.

mixey

To use pretty photo you should add a rel attribute with the prettyPhoto value

<a rel="prettyPhoto" href="http://www.topnotchwp.com/liquid-magazine/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/prettyphoto.jpg">Pretty Photo Integrated.</a>

And it will work automatically

Hi, which files are changed after update? Do I need any plugin for related posts thumbnails or they are fit automaticly?

Thanks!

Love the layout but I do find the way you add the thumbnails to the post very inefficient. It takes the latest uploaded image. But if I allready have an image in my library, there’s no way I can use this for the thumbnail. Or if I add images to my post later, it will take the latest uploaded image for the thumbnail. This gives me too little control over this feature.

I’ve implemented the simple thumbnail plugin for the thumbnail, so now I do have this control.

arjandeparjan: I had the same issue as you, but you have two solutions.

1) In your post, in you gallery, you put the image you want to be used as a thumbnail on top of the others and you save.

2) You upload the thumb image as the last image. At first it buged me, but not it helps, because sometimes I don’t want the thumb to appear in the post. Take a look: http://astuff.net/ and select 24P Workflow. The image is not used.

Question for the Author:

How many posts will it take for the layout to display pages?

Can that be changed?

In your preview you have 11. That is fine on my 24 inch, but on my 19, I find that there is too much scrolling. It would be nice that if it goes at a certain height, the oldest posts would go on page 2. That would be nice, but it’s not a must. What is a must, is that I hope you have done something in your code that generates pages….if not the template will eventually crash ( say 50 or a 100 posts).

Again, I would like to remind everyone that this template is great! The support is good as well.

mixey

Thank you for the kind words! There is a pagination already integrated ;) And you can set desired post count under the WP settings menu. Click Settings -> Reading and there set post count

Nice, I wasn’t sure it would work.

Sorry for all the questions, but do you know a plug-in that will work well where people can create an account and add their avatar for the comments?

Hi Mixey,

You miss my question.

Which files are changed after update? Do I need any plugin for related posts thumbnails or they are will show up automaticly?

Thanks!

mixey

I’ve altered only js file which is located under the js folder js/js.js

Related posts are displayed automatically, all you need to do is tag posts with tags, and then related posts will appear there.

Hi Mixey,

Grrrreat theme! This is a perfect ready to use theme. You got 5 stars from me.

As for Arjan and Cubik: You can use the Post Image plugin. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/post-image/

If you install this plugin, a new item will appear at the bottom of the “New Post” or Edit Post page, called Select Image.

That image will appear in the grid, but not in the post itself.

Good luck!
