hi, is it possible to create custom field and custom filters in the listify theme? In this video you can only filter on 3 facets, but I want to create more. What would you recommend? (Video: https://www.google.com/search?q=astoundify+filtering&oq=astoundify+filtering&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigATIHCAIQIRigAdIBCDY5NjlqMGo0qAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:b47f3d0d,vid:aeyZ6Q81Nvs,st:0). Hello,
Thank you for your question!
Yes, it’s definitely possible to create custom fields and filters in the Listify theme. To achieve this, you’ll need to use the FacetWP plugin for creating flexible, custom filters, which works well with Listify to expand your filtering options beyond the default settings.
For creating and managing custom fields, we recommend the WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin. This will allow you to add, edit, and customize fields for your listings effectively.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can assist with!

Hello. Does the theme have an upload feature where I can upload a csv file of 500 listings at one time?
Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry!
Currently, the theme does not have a built-in upload feature for importing CSV files directly. However, you can easily manage this by installing the WP All Import plugin, which will facilitate the bulk upload of your listings from a CSV file.
If you need any assistance with the installation or setup of the plugin, please feel free to reach out!

Can Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Threads be added to the social media section and can there be up to 5 photos in the gallery section? How does a customer in Boston look for stuff in Denver?
Hi,
Thank you for your questions!
1. As for adding Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Threads to the social media section, it is possible. However, this would require some custom work, as it falls outside the standard features of the Listify theme. Please note that customizations like this are not covered under the regular support scope. You may want to consider reaching out to a developer for assistance with this implementation.
2. Regarding the gallery section, the theme allows for more than 5 photos, in the gallery section and you can display them in the single listing sidebar of the theme.
3. The Listify theme is location-based, and customers can use the built-in search filters to search listings based on the location they are interested in, such as looking for listings in Denver while being in Boston. They can enter the desired location in the search bar and filter the results accordingly.
Additionally, as an admin, you can install the Regions plugin, which allows you to group listings by location. This can make it even easier for users to find listings in a specific area.
If you need further help, feel free to reach out!

Subject: Pre-purchase Inquiries Regarding Theme Features
I hope this message finds you well. I am currently considering purchasing your theme for a project and would appreciate some clarification on several important features.
Interactive Map on the Homepage:
Can I set up an interactive map directly on the homepage, featuring only a world map with pins for predefined events or listings (selected by the admin)? I would like users to be able to zoom in on the map and click on the pins to access individual event or listing pages, without any listing results being displayed alongside the map.
Additionally, I need to ensure that this interactive map can coexist with other sections on the homepage, such as “About Us,” “Event Types,” and others. Can these sections be easily configured and arranged either above or below the map for a clean, customizable layout?
Dynamic Map Functionality:
When the interactive map is zoomed in or moved, does the list of listings/events update automatically in real-time?
Monetization & Listings:
- Can the admin control whether users can create listings for free from their dashboards, or must they choose from predefined paid plans?
- Is there flexibility for the admin to manage the monetization options (e.g., free listings for certain users, paid plans for others)?
- Is it possible to manage these settings directly from the Wordpress admin dashboard?
Multilingual Compatibility:
I understand that Loco Translate is recommended for translations, but I am looking for full multilingual support. Is your theme fully compatible with more robust multilingual plugins such as WPML or Polylang? This feature is critical for my project, and Loco Translate may not be sufficient.
Advanced Search Functionality:
Does the theme support a comprehensive multi-field search feature? Specifically, I need the search to cover all fields within listings, including text content, organizer, location, title, and type of event or listing.
Event Notifications & RSS:
- Is there any support for a notification system that sends users email alerts based on their preferences (category and location within a 50km radius)?
- Alternatively, is it possible to set up an RSS feed or email notification system that notifies users when new events matching their criteria are posted?
I look forward to your response.
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in the Listify theme! I’m happy to provide clarification on the features you inquired about.
1. Interactive Map on the Homepage: Yes, you can set up an interactive map directly on the homepage that features predefined events or listings with custom pins chosen by the admin. Users will be able to zoom in on the map and click the pins to view individual event or listing pages without showing listing results alongside the map. You can also easily configure and arrange other sections like “About Us” and “Event Types” either above or below the map for a clean, customizable layout. The homepage sections are fully customizable via the WordPress Customizer or Elementor, making it easy to build a layout that fits your project.
2. Dynamic Map Functionality: The map in the theme does not update the listing results in real-time as the map is zoomed or moved. You may need a third-party plugin or custom development to achieve that specific real-time dynamic behavior.
3. Monetization & Listings: Yes, the admin can control whether users can create free listings or must choose from predefined paid plans. The Listify theme integrates with WooCommerce and Listing Payments plugins and allows flexibility in managing different listing plans. You can offer free or paid plans, and manage all monetization options directly from the WordPress admin dashboard.
4. Multilingual Compatibility: While Loco Translate is a great tool for simple translations, Listify is also compatible with more advanced multilingual plugins like WPML and Polylang. This allows you to offer full multilingual support, including translations for listings, user dashboards, and site content—ensuring a seamless experience for users in multiple languages.
5. Advanced Search Functionality: The theme does support comprehensive multi-field search functionality. You can create advanced search forms covering various fields, including text content, organizer, location, title, and type of event or listing. This allows for a robust search experience for users.
6. Event Notifications & RSS: While the theme doesn’t have built-in email notification systems, you can achieve this with third-party plugins like WP Job Manager Alerts. This allows users to receive email alerts based on specific categories or locations. Additionally, you can set up an RSS feed that notifies users when new events matching their criteria are posted.
Please feel free to reach out if you need further clarification or have additional questions. We’re here to help!

Hi, I have a big problem,
no more results are displayed in the location search (also autolocation). And the shortcode location does not work anymore. Results are displayed, but not the entered location. I have already sent you a ticket. Please solve the problem as soon as possible. Thank you very much!
Best Regards Dirk
Hi there,
We noticed your ticket and noticed that you are using the listings shortcode wrongly. With the Listify theme and the WP Job Manager plugin, the current setup does not support multiple inputs within the [jobs] shortcode for filtering based on category, location, and order. At this time, the shortcode can only display listings without additional filtering based on those parameters.
You can use the basic [jobs] shortcode to show listings, but for more advanced filtering, you may need to explore a custom solution that offer enhanced functionality.
If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please let us know!

Hi there
We did respond to your ticket now. Please confirm the same from our ticket system instead of this forum.

Brian
Hi Brian,
thanks for your answer.
The 40 is already wrong. We have five-digit zip codes. For some cities it doesn’t create a zip code at all and for others it creates a two-digit zip code. Something is really wrong. And for some search results, it doesn’t create a zip code at all. It simply does not show any results. That’s not right.
I would be very happy if you could help me. Thank you very much! Dirk
Hi Dir,
Thanks for providing the details. The theme ideally fetches the actual address from Google Maps using the Maps API key you have. If the address appears with additional numbers or incorrect zip codes, it’s usually due to Google Maps auto-corrections or additions.
I noticed you removed the location field on your site. Are you okay with continuing without it, like that?
Please let us know how you’d like to proceed.
Best regards, Brian
Hi Brian,
thanks for the answer.
Yes, we have removed the location field because it shows no results or incorrect results. That’s not good. I can reactivate the field for you. What can we do about this error?
Maybe you can help me.
Best Regards
Hi,
Thank you for your message.
As mentioned earlier, the location field works by using exact match addresses to return results, as per the setup with the Google Maps API. If the results are not as expected, it may be due to the addresses not matching Google’s database exactly.
If this is not the ideal solution for you, I suggest creating a staging site where we can conduct further testing and see if we can troubleshoot the issue more deeply without affecting your live site. Let me know if you’d like to proceed with that, and we can assist you in these checks.
Best regards, Brian
Hello Brian,
thanks for your message. Yes, that is a good idea. I’ll have to see how I can set up a staging site first. I’ll let you know. In the meantime, you can offer me a solution as to how I can use the shortcodes with location. You wrote me that you had such a solution. Thank you!
Best regards Dirk
Hi Dirk,
Thank you for your message.
Regarding the display of job listings based on location, one alternative is to use the regions feature in the WP Job Manager plugin. You can group listings by different regions and then display them accordingly. This way, you can organize listings based on their location.
For shortcodes, the only option we provide for displaying listings is the `[jobs]` shortcode. Unfortunately, we do not have built-in functionality to filter or display listings based on location directly through shortcodes.
If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please let me know.
Kind Regards,

Hi, I want to purshase your theme but Could you let me know if feature I want exists?
My idea is a listing of real estate that I’m not the owner. So I want to allow the owners to add and manage their availability without access to all admin feature.
Is it possible with your website ?
Hi,
Yes, the Listify theme can accommodate your needs. With Listify, you can allow real estate owners to add and manage their own listings without granting them full administrative access.
Here’s how it works:
User Role Management: You can set up custom user roles that allow listing owners to manage their own listings. They won’t have access to other admin features.
Front-End Submission: Owners can submit and manage their listings from the front end of your site. This includes managing availability and details specific to their listings.
Moderation: As an admin, you can review and moderate these submissions before they go live, ensuring that everything meets your standards.
If you need help setting this up or have further questions, feel free to ask!

Hello,
To hide the Google Map on the individual listing page, you can follow these steps:
Go to your WordPress dashboard.
Navigate to Appearance > Widgets.
Find the widget area labeled Single Listing Sidebar.
Locate the Listing Map & Contact Details widget in this sidebar.
Open the widget settings and look for an option to display or hide the map.
Deselect or disable the option to display the map.

URGENT Prebuy questions: Hello. Nice theme.
1) Is there a direct chat or message feature among users? For example between a vehicle owner and a customer?
2) Also can you provide a demo username and password I can use to access the customer and also the vehicle owner so that I can check more features and understand better. Thanks.
3) can vehicle seller register to have an account? Also can a buyer have an account also?
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in our theme!
1) Chat Functionality: We currently do not offer a direct chat feature between users within the theme. However, we have a private messaging plugin that allows communication between logged-in users. For real-time chat functionality, you might consider exploring chat plugins available in the WordPress repository.
2) Demo Backend Access: Unfortunately, we do not provide demo backend access for testing. To explore the theme fully, you would need to purchase it. This ensures you have complete access to all features and functionality.
3) User Accounts: By default, our theme supports user account creation, but it’s limited to one user role. While vehicle sellers and buyers are typically assigned to a single role, you can use member management plugins to enable different user roles and allow various types of accounts. This will help you set up distinct roles for vehicle sellers and buyers.

Hello Brian,
By scanning my website with Google Lighthouse in Chrome it gives the next advise: - Links do not have a discernible name Link text (and alternate text for images, when used as links) that is discernible, unique, and focusable improves the navigation experience for screen reader users.
Example: on all the elements: a.image-grid-clickbox.has-overlay
Source: www.dagje-uit-rotterdam.nl
Can you fix this with the next template update?
Greets,
Nico Dagje uit Rotterdam
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out.
We understand the importance of improving accessibility on your website. To address the issue highlighted by Google Lighthouse regarding links without discernible names, we can try providing a solution in the next template update.
In the meantime, you can try adding the following code snippet to your theme’s functions.php file or through a custom plugin to see if it helps:
function add_discernible_name_to_links() {
?>
<script type="text/javascript">
document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', function() {
var elements = document.querySelectorAll('a.image-grid-clickbox.has-overlay');
elements.forEach(function(element) {
if (!element.hasAttribute('aria-label')) {
var img = element.querySelector('img');
if (img && img.alt) {
element.setAttribute('aria-label', img.alt);
} else {
element.setAttribute('aria-label', 'Image link');
}
}
});
});
</script>
<?php
}
add_action('wp_footer', 'add_discernible_name_to_links');
This script aims to add accessible labels to elements like a.image-grid-clickbox.has-overlay, improving navigation for screen reader users.
Please add this code snippet and let us know if it resolves the issue for you. We appreciate your patience while we work on incorporating a permanent solution in the next update.

Hello Brian,

Link text (and alternate text for images, when used as links) that is discernible, unique, and focusable improves the navigation experience for screen reader users. a.job_listing-clickbox
Do you have a solution as well?

Hi Nico,
Thank you for your feedback! I’m glad to hear it’s working well for you.
Regarding the issue with the link text and alternate text for images, achieving a discernible, unique, and focusable experience for screen reader users will require some custom work. This involves modifying the code to ensure that all link text and alternate text are properly set and accessible.
If you need assistance with this customization, I recommend working with a developer who can make these adjustments for you.

Hello Brian,
With your help i’ve made a code how just liked that.. And it works! Now both blocks are great acording to Google lighthouse.
For your details: i’ve added:
function add_discernible_name_to_clickbox() { ?> <script type=”text/javascript”> document.addEventListener(‘DOMContentLoaded’, function() { var elements = document.querySelectorAll(‘a.job_listing-clickbox’); elements.forEach(function(element) { if (!element.hasAttribute(‘aria-label’)) { var img = element.querySelector(‘img’); if (img && img.alt) { element.setAttribute(‘aria-label’, img.alt); } else { element.setAttribute(‘aria-label’, ‘Image link’); } } }); }); </script> <?php } add_action(‘wp_footer’, ‘add_discernible_name_to_clickbox’);
Thanks again for your input.
best regards,
Nico
Hi Nico,
I’m glad to hear that you were able to find a workaround and that it’s working well for both blocks according to Google Lighthouse!

Hello
Is it possible to create a section with all the listing owners profiles and display that section in the homepage.
Basically, instead of sections that shows locations, categories….etc I want a section that display profiles, maybe with shortcodes or any taxonomies if possible.
And when clicking on a profile it redirect to that page where all the details and listings of that specefic seller.
Thank you
Hello,
Creating a section to display all listing owners’ profiles separately on the homepage is not something that is in the theme. Ideally this would require custom development work, as this functionality goes beyond what is included in our support scope.
Typically, this would involve creating custom shortcodes, taxonomies, or templates to showcase individual profiles and link to their respective pages with details and listings. I recommend consulting with a developer who can assist in implementing this customization tailored to your specific needs.
Thank you for understanding.

Hi, I’m looking for a theme that allows me to create a games application directory without the need for external access (registration/seller). I’ve tested the demo, but some of the options aren’t clear to me. Can I delete the location system and remplace by a description of game ? Customise the way a product page is displayed? Put an extract in the files presented in the categories ( /item/)? Thank you for your feedback. Have a nice day.
Hi,
Thank you for your interest in our theme. The Listify theme can be customized to suit your needs for creating a games application directory. Here are the answers to your queries:
Remove Location System: Yes, it is possible to remove the location system. You can replace it with a description of the game within the single listing template.
Description Option: The description option is already available in the single listing template, allowing you to provide detailed information about each game.
Customizing Product Page Display: Customizing the way a product page is displayed is possible. However, this will require some custom development. We recommend consulting a developer for this customization to ensure it meets your specific requirements.
Extract in Files Presented in Categories: Customization in how files are presented in categories can also be achieved but will require custom coding. Again, consulting a developer would be the best approach for this.
If you need further assistance or have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

Hi, is it possible to use this theme for a Company Review/Salary Website? Where people would state their thoughts on company’s they worked for. Salary information for roles will also be displayed and users can submit salary information.
Hi,
The Listify theme is designed as a listing directory for any type of content, making it versatile for various purposes, including a Company Review/Salary Website. You can create listings based on companies, and users can leave reviews for them as well.
However, for displaying and submitting salary information, some custom development would be required since this is not a default feature of the theme. You would need to create custom fields for salary data and potentially use additional plugins or custom code to manage and display this information effectively.
