Lovely theme however we want to put our audio already on our server into the jplayer. Is there a way without uploading it twice? Can we just add music to the playlists with direct URLs to .mp3 files?

Thank you! This is the shortcode that populates in the Home Page when your theme is uploaded. It is under the wording “FreshNews”. Didn’t realize that code is 3rd party.

Okay, so to be sure. Is there no way to adjust the thumbnail size?
In functions.php at row 76, array(80,80… are the width and height. This thumbnail size is also used for the widget. You will have to re-upload your images after change. Cheers

Hey Brutal, just lovin’ this theme WOW the more I play around with all the customization possibilities! One thing, I am having an issue with the bands MP3s they sent me, and they are all good but in the jsPlayer where I am trying to create a Player, it isn’t allowing .mp3 uploads, it reads loading to 100% but then I keep getting ‘SolitaryMan.mp3 is not an mp3 file.’ (tried many songs). I can embed single song players with the http://filelink.mp3 but need the full Player (great design by the way of everything!) Any idea what this issue could be? I have almost all the site done (and looks GRT on iphone!) THNKS -Sterling

There is a know issue with the mp3 upload with firefox on mac. Sorry about that.
Well I was in Chrome and now just tried Safari and I am still getting ‘OldFriend.mp3 is not an mp3 file.’ when it definately is a healthy mp3 (have tried numerous ones). What is the workaround? Can I upload via ftp and somehow have jsPlayer recognize the links so I can create the Player. I mean it’s a music theme, I have to have a player for the site asap. Can i email you admin/pass??

Whew IT WORKED!! (I went in thru ftp and replaced those php files and embedding my mp3 links in the jplayer/mp3 section worked perfect!) THNKS

There is know issue with the mp3 file extension verification with firefox on mac. You can do that by editing header.php The content of the right part for the header is from row 94 to 97. You can replace the slider by your own content

Firstly what a great theme! it’s nice to see someone bringing something useful to the table!
I have a problem with formatting on the home page, like your demo, i would like to setup the blog in the middle of the page with the widgetarea showing up and coming shows.

As you can see from the link, the up and coming shows is still in the middle, i am using column size 7 for the fresh news, and column size 5 for the up and coming shows widget. Can you advise how i would get the shows widget further to the right without bunching up the text?

Hi,
You can use just a widget area with 3 widget, without using column and use the “recent posts with thumbnails” instead of the bd_last posts shortcode.
In fact, you can’t put a widget area in a column, because widget areas are already divided in 3 columns.
In the demo, I used the default homepage template, put the [bd_last_posts] shortcode as content, and paste the upcoming show widget in a homepage sidebar.

Dans le cas où je met le site en plusieurs langues, y-a-t-il une zone prévu pour le choix du langage (une zone avec des petits drapeaux par exemple ?).

Pour que l’utilisateur puisse avoir le choix de la langue il faut un plugin comme qTranslate je crois ou WPML .
Les fichier de langues servent à traduire le site facilement (le fichier fr est inclus) mais de permette pas de switcher la langue

Hey BD, I finished the site I bought the theme for (the Band LUVS) absolutely AMAZIN and was able to customize every page with diff images and headers THNK U! However the music player still won’t play in firefox (I took out the code you suggested… I found an OGG converter, uploaded those to go with each mp3 and Still can’t get any music to play in firefox http://www.recklessinvegas.com/riv-originals/ Aren’t others having this issue?? PLZ Help as they need fixed ASAP
If the player doesn’t play in firefox, it can be caused be the ogg encoding. Be sure to enconde your file with the following settings: Ogg Vorbis 44100 Hz; Stereo; Quality – 4.00 ;
... Just checked and to me it works on chrome and safari. Maybe delete your browser cache
got new setup to work on test page http://www.recklessinvegas.com/music-grrr-test-for-firefox-etc/ but now won’t play at all in Chrome and spotty on iphone/safari PLZ HELP (OR ANYone else out there have suggests??)

Hi, I see you remove the date, category and tags on your site? Also, on the admin side you remove each category and tags attached to each post. Greetings
