hi B.,
I purchased and love the theme. I wanted to add some ads to my site, like a typical main banner, side banner and bottom banners to allow some advertising and connect to google etc. how would I go about placing those on. A script or direct link?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Again, the best them ever!

You can use the header slider to upload image and set a link for each. Otherwise, you can display image link anywhere by using the text widget and paste an HTML code like:See the doc about sidebars and widget areas

Hello, Unfortunely i’ve fell at the first hurdle.
i seem to install the theme onto wordpress. i tried uploading to wp_content themes.. on the godaddy.com FTP File Manager that i am hosting with.
but it says half way through that it cant upload one of more of the files. and then it doesnt work.
if i try to install it on wordpress it says that style.css is missing.
any ideas mate.

Hi,
You should use a FTP client like filezilla to upload the theme. It is more reliable. http://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=clientOtherwise, you can compress the “live” folder contained in the theme package as a zip, and install it with Wordpress.

Sure! There are background uploaders and color pickers in the theme options (body, footer, header etc..). You can also set a different header for each page.

i wanted to but a widgetarea with 3 widgets accross in my top folder above my blog area on the home page but when i put the shortcode in the (topfolder) on the layout page. nothing happened.

Hi,
You can set your backgrounds in the theme options. If you want the same background for the whole page reset all background (header, footer etc…) and set only a background for the body in the theme options.

You can’t set a google font in the admin panel.
But you can set your google font manually by adding the google css link ink in header.php and set a CSS in the custom CSS box (theme options-> style tab): ex:h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6{font-family:'myfont'}I hope it will help
Hey, I really like this theme; it’s probably one of the best I’ve seen, even though I don’t use it for music.
I’ve got two questions: one easy question and one possibly less easy question.
First, how do I change the favicon? No offense, but I want it to be my own, not the fancy L that’s there by default.
Second, I have another theme called The Reviewer. In it, you can put stars and author etc in posts (so you can rate books and such with it), which is what I want to do. I’m wondering if you could help me somehow customize the theme (direct me in how to do it) so I can get these rating options for Live! instead.
Sorting these would make Live! the definite choice for me, and I’d recommend it to anyone I know who needs a theme.
Simply replace the favicon.ico file in the theme. You will have to clear your cache to see the change. (see the doc for more help)
About the rating system, I have some files from another theme that could be compatible to add a review post type with rating.

is there anyway to hide the home page content on the homepage?
meaning, right now, I have a background embedded on the home page and vertically extended it down using br tags in the home page settings on the admin. Challenge is now, that I dont want to show content of the home page. anyway to put in css that it will not see home page on home page?

Hi, I’ve an other difficulty… On the homepage the big picture has a normal size but in the differents pages, the header has the same size like the homepage. Ex: http://www.jeanmichelg.com/ and the page http://www.jeanmichelg.com/jean-michel
I don’t know how to get smallest header in the page like the demo ( http://demo.brutaldesign.com/live/socialize ). I try differents ways to insert a correct header background the result is the same. But if a resize header in “Header Slider” options, by example 200px, the header become smaller in the pages, but become smaller too in the homepage

Hey there i just got this theme, how do i get that home icon to appear…i read the instructions, it says to change the screen options in the menu admin panel, but when i click on my screen options there it does not do anything
I guess you have just update wordpress to 3.5? I noticed this bug. i am afraid that is a wordpress thing.. hope they will fix this soon

Hey Brual, I’ve noticed that a few of the button/text links aren’t complying with the link colours that I’ve set. The following items are still displaying default ‘orange’ colour on hover over: -Titles of releases on Discography page -Subscribe button on HTML mailing list form (Sign Up page) -Send button on contact form (Contact page) My site is www.robrivieres.com

A few little ideas for development (don’t know how easy they are to do) but felt they would be useful. -Contact form widget -Option to have no header on individual page -Ability to link upcoming show listing to individual show post pages -Link at bottom of Upcoming shows widget to Shows page (with text ‘More shows…’)

Hide the header for other pages than the homepage is possible with a CSS rule to paste in the theme options custom CSS box shouldn’t be a big deal
