Hi. I have purchased, but it seems to close the browser down when viewing on a tablet/ipad. have tried both android and IOS. See http://ciuk.eu/ci/
Just checked your page with both iPad and iPhone but couldn’t reproduce the issue. Are you having this problem on our demo? We see that you have some unclosed elements. Fixing those might help: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fciuk.eu%2Fci%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0
awesome theme, I tend to stun everyone with how my website looks!
I only have one question: is it possible to tweak something so that it loads faster? Even on a faster Wi-Fi connection, bigger galleries (like this one: http://feherbalazs.com/holi.html) can take some time to load, which makes the experience somewhat less stunning.
The dimensions of your images are larger than the slider and also each of their sizes are bigger than 1MB which makes them load slower even on a faster Wi-Fi connection. We recommend reducing the dimensions of your images and also optimizing them for web, that way the pages will load a lot faster.
thank you, I completely forgot to optimize for web! Website’s already faster.
Now, as for the dimensions: the pictures are exactly 2X size because I thought that was how they’re displayed right on higher pixel density displays like my own 15” rMBP… is there a better, more resource friendly way to retina images?
You need to add the default version of images in src attribute of img tag and the high quality versions in data-at2x attribute as seen in the logo example:
<img src="style/images/logo.png" data-at2x="email@example.com" alt="" />
That way only the visitors with retina displays will see the retina versions.
Many thanks, can I ask you to try my results quick on: http://feherbalazs.com/microsoft.html
Like you said, my computer wouldn’t display the regular images.
Yes we see the non-retina versions now.
Why do the sliders take so long to load? I am on a fast broadband connection and yet still seeing spinners. Ive seen comments on loading images but I have kept the file sizes down to about 100k which should not be a problem.
Loading speed depends on the page content, internet and hosting speed. When we checked your website all pages loaded fast. When you check the demo do you experience any slow loading?
You can try disabling the preload in the template, so you can see the content immediately without having to wait for all content to load to see the page. You will just need to remove the following code from all html pages:
<div id="preloader"><div id="status"><div class="spinner" /></div></div>
How do I remove the sticky menu?
Please open style/js/scripts.js and remove the “STICKY NAVIGATION” script which should be at the top, until line 21 (so you should leave the offset script starting on line 21).
Removing it will prevent the menu from being smaller and fixed at the top after scroll.
Hi there. I purchased this from you a few months ago, am just now really getting around to using it.
Along those lines, I’m working on some forms. There weren’t a lot of example of forms in the template, which is part of my problem. I’m good at modeling, less good at starting from scratch . . . hence purchasing a template in the first place.
In my forms (or the forms I was hoping to create using this template), there are some radio button items, a list where you can only pick one option. When using this template they are just . . . not formatting correctly. I’ve tried a bunch of crap moving elements around, trying things with inline CSS . . . sometimes the labels end up on top of the button, sometimes below, sometimes out to the side as expected, but a bit horizontally off kilter. The radio buttons themselves and their labels are just not aligning as expected, like they always did before whenever I did a form, which I have done several times. I know you’re probably thinking, I did the radio buttons incorrectly, but when I remove the template, they go back to normal, really.
In short: Might it be possible for you to share some code of how you would do a set of normal-looking radio buttons with labels for a form that could be within this template, if this template had that? Yes, I know, it didn’t originally feature any, but I just had no earthly idea this would actually be a problem.
Perhaps whoever wrote this template could just write how they would do it, and perhaps that’s entirely different from what I’ve tried thus far, and would actually work. Pretty please with sugar?
I would so appreciate it. Thanks!
Thought it could be helpful to add that I’ve also tried using form elements text entry box and select box, on forms within this template. Those worked as expected. Thus far, really just uniquely the radio button lists that get completely . . . mangled. Thanks!
Could you please provide your website URL so we can take a closer look on the form to see what is wrong with the radio buttons? Maybe we can go from there.
LOUD SIGH . . . I was afraid you were just going to come back with that. Yes, I understand, that’s probably standard tech support. But the form URLs are inside an area of the site that’s not for public consumption and requires a login. I would try to do the same thing on a public area of the site, but that would involve moving the template and changing all the link references. I don’t have it up right now on any public pages.
Could you pretty please make my day and just type what you would use for the code? For radio buttons?
In the meantime, since typing the first two comments, I wondered if my difficulties were associated with the fact that this template is not using the most current version of bootstrap, at least, not when I downloaded it. So instead of looking at docs for the most current version, I looked here, for 3.1.1: http://bootstrapdocs.com/v3.1.1/docs/css/
I did my radio buttons exactly like that, and they don’t work either, but they’re just a little bit closer. I just copied and pasted the bootstrap code directly into my site, not even trying to alter it first to personalize it. I did this with and without wrapping the whole thing in <form role=”form”>...</form>, because I didn’t know which one was better. Without seemed better, so this is what I put into that page, again, copied directly off bootstrapdocs.com:
It looks correct on the bootstrap site, radio buttons like the following, with BUTTON as the actual circular button:
BUTTON (a bit of space) what you typed as the label
. . . all on the same line, as one would expect a radio button to look:
But on my site with the template, the radio buttons look like this:
(a few spaces of indentation here) what you typed as the label
. . . so they’re not on the same line, but 2 lines, with an indentation on the second line before the label. Like it’s tabbed over slightly.
Which looks really weird.
So the radio buttons don’t render as the 3.1.1 docs say they should, and I don’t see any sample code in the template itself with radio buttons so I can see how you would do it.
It would be completely and totally swell if you could just type some code in here indicating how you would do this differently. Really. Really. Swell.
It looks like there is some sort of well in my reply, but I did not intend that. Just ignore that thing, if you even see it, the content is as intended, thanks.
One more reply . . . replying to myself here, the whole thing I tried to describe above, how the radio buttons and their labels are not on the same line, but button, followed by a line break after the button, then a slight indentation before the label on the new line . . . it happens for checkboxes too, within this template.
As far as I can tell, no other form inputs are affected, but radio buttons and checkboxes render differently within this template than on the 3.1.1 docs.
Could you at least share screenshot of the issue so we can have a better understanding?
Hi, when using the Classic Portfolio on the home page, I intermittently get large gaps (around 100px) between the rows of the portfolio images. I have not seen this happening on your demo. I haven’t altered any CSS or anything. Have you heard about this problem before?
Sorry, meant to post it on the wordpress theme
Have you tried SMTP authentication? The error appears to be related to SMTP line. Please check the help documentation for details of SMTP authentication.
I don’t want to use SMTP. Only prefer PHP form.
use_smtp = 0
The error still exists:
“Notice: Undefined variable: use_smtp in form-handler.php on line 62”
Your hosting might be requiring SMTP authentication. Could you please try using SMTP and see if it helps?
I used SMTP but it’s still not working…
There might be something wrong on the server side. Could you please ask your hosting administrator to check that if mail() function in PHP parser is configured properly?
Hi I purchased your theme and loving it!! Thank you so much!

You don’t seem to have purchased the template. There is no purchased badge on your comment. Any chance you’re referring to the Wordpress version? If so, Wordpress version of Loom is released by a different author, tommusrhodus. You can contact him through Loom Wordpress discussions page: http://themeforest.net/item/-loom-multipurpose-responsive-wordpress-theme/7651449/comments or his support forum: http://tommusrhodus.ticksy.com/
If you are referring to the HTML version, could you please post your question with the account you purchased the item? Thank you for understanding.
