I need to exclude a category (in this case 16) from my blog page of the Lotus theme and the feed. I’ve researched how to do this, but it appears that Lotus uses some custom code that renders all of the supposed solutions useless. Since the theme’s programmer will not assist me and tells me to “Google it” (great support… and of course I already did ) or waits a solid week to not respond to my requests for support, I want to know if anyone here can assist me.
Because your requirement is custom modification and it’s not default Wordpress feature or theme feature. This type of customization is a bit more complex and is not covered under normal theme support. That why I suggest you to find additional plugin or you have to hire freelancer to do it.

I installed the WPML Plugin which is a plugin for translating the homepage contents. Everything works fine except of the translation of the entrance page. So i contaced the support of the plugin. They need an information from you in order to fix this problem. They wrote me the following: “In Lotus Settings of the home page, there is a part where you select the page you want to use as the home page. If you could get the theme author to tell us where that page option is stored in the database, we could be able to get a solution for it.”
I really need to get this plugin running, so please help me with this matter.

Basically you have to create pages with your content then you can select which pages to display on homepage using Lotus admin > Homepage

Sorry homepage’s pages stored in wp_option table. You have to edit index.php of theme.
Thx for your kind response! I forwarded the information to the support team of the plugin.
They gave me the following response: “Wpml has to be made aware of the translated version of the page using the wpml-config.xml file or preferably a custom made function. For these particular kind of theme issues, we have a dedicated team that works to rectify them and a finished product is usually availed with two days. But for this to happen, we need to work with the plugin author, we do all the weight lifting so he won’t be caught up in this. To get the plugin author involved, please point him to this link http://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/ once he contacts us from there, we’ll take care of the rest.”
So may be you can follow the above link in order to solve the problem for all future users that want to use your theme in combination with this translation plugin. Please let me know if you could do this.

could you please follow the above link in order to make the Lotus theme compatible to the WPML Plugin? You just have to follow the link and contact the support. You won’t have any extra work to do. They will make it compatible for all future users and i guess they will advertise your theme in ther newsletter http://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/ .
IT’s not possible, everytime that i try to upgrade the template it show me that the old number of the version! i had the same when i tried to to upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3, now i d like to upgrdae to 1.4 but no change. Plese let me know how i have to do. Ale

I have been having an issue with one the pages. When i click on one link (http://www.uruguayxxi.gub.uy/serviciosglobales/) it takes me to the bottom of the page even though there is no anchor in it. I cannot find what the problem is. Can you help me out with the problem?
