Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a "Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

I am unable to get the image shortcodes working, the image isn’t being displayed

There are three conditions that are needed for it to work

1)The url of the image must be a .jpg

2)The image must be greater in size than the size of the shortcode image. i.e if you are using a shortcode for a 60*60 thumb, make sure the image you uploaded is greater than this size.

3)Ensure there are no spaces between the end of the image url and the end shortcode tag

How can I change the background image for the theme?

When you select a background from the admin area, you need to look for the corresponding .css file in the css folder (this folder is in the themes root directory.) For example, if you have selected the blackcurrant background, open blackcurrant.css.

You will then need to upload the new background and replace the following as required:

#first_back { background:url(color-variations/body-background-blackcurrant.jpg) no-repeat scroll center top #473950!important;}

If you wish to remove the striping on the background, add this to the file:

#second_back { background: none!important; }
