Hi,

Have you tried using other themes and see if the issue still happening? Could you send us an email explaining the issue further? Just send us a message from our profile page http://themeforest.net/user/ThemeWarriors

I have tried to use other themes and that works with other themes. I have tried to disable all my plugins with you theme, but that doesn’t still work. I have open any tabs on the post edit/add page, when I’m using MagazinePress as template. Please fix this urgently. I can’t fx. open this “MagazinePress Rating & Review” on the add/edit post page.

Everybody add: wp_enqueue_script( ‘jquery’ );

To you functions.php inside the theme root folder, that will fix the issues on the post editor.

Hi everyone,

We’ve submit MagazinePress v1.0.1 to ThemeForest (it’s still in queue). This version will fix the issue with WordPress 3.5 and we also fix several minor issues (not related to WordPress 3.5). You will also noticed some improvement in the layout.

Thank you for your patience.

Ok. Responsibility for our Theme Forest is expected.

Ok.

But one day does that leave a question on the forum and I need an answer.

Please. Thanks

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

We’ve replied your thread in the support forum.

Hi ThemeWarriors.

I want the PSD of this theme.can I buy it anywhere?could you plz share it for sale?

thanks

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

You have to buy the theme in order to get the PSD files. The PSD files are included in the theme package.

dear ThemeWarriors

first, thanks 4 ur answer.

but I just want the psd. you mean there’s not anyway to get the psd separately?

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

Yes, the only way to get your hands on the PSD files is to buy the theme.

Hello

I would like to get a list of the functions that were updated, please

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

You can view the list of files changes in https://gist.github.com/4307452

I have a quick question: I have tried uploading the 468×60 top banner multiple times and it always appears much smaller on the website.

LINK – http://www.doggycorp.com/

Please help!

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

I’m sorry but I don’t see any 468×60 banner in the header.

The answer that you provided for my question:

Q How can I disable the featured image from being shown in the post? I don’t see the option in the panel, and therefore I have 2 images shown

Doesn’t seem to work in the new update:

Hi, Just open /magazinepress/single.php and /magazinepress/includes/blog.php and remove this code: <?php warrior_thumbnail( ‘both’, ‘620’, ‘350’, ‘featured-large’, get_the_title()); ?> <?php the_category(', '); ?>

Can you help me with this?

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

The changes will only affect the post detail page, so when you disable the featured image from the theme options, it won’t be displayed in the post detail page.

ThemeWarriors -

In the banner space to the right of the logo on the website http://www.doggycorp.com you will see a small blue banner that says 468×60 on it… the actual size of that image is 468×60 and it appears much smaller than it should. I have tried uploading multiple times with the same result. Can you please advise?

Danny

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

As I said earlier, I don’t see any 468×60 image ad in the header. Here’s the screenshot of your site that I took http://bit.ly/V2bJwb

Here is what I see on all of my browsers. What could I be doing wrong? http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/gromett/ScreenShot2012-12-17at104914AM_zps74c68db7.png

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

I noticed you’ve changed your theme, we can’t check it if MagazinePress isn’t activated.

How can I change the color of the red line at the top and the red on the title of the posts (Categories) ?

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

Go to the Theme Options and click the “Appearance” tab, you’ll see a field called “Custom CSS Codes”. Place these codes into the field
#top {
  background: #cccccc;
}
.thumb .category {
  background: #333333;
}

You can change the #cccccc and #333333 to any color value you want.

This might be a stupid question but how can I add an Author’s image?! There is no upload option to upload an author’s image in the user’s section!

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

MagazinePress is using WordPress default author thumbnail which uses Gravatar. You need to register your email to www.gravatar.com and then upload your custom image.

Is there anyway to get a mobile version of this template? Because when I vist the site on my phone, then the site look really weird and it’s not usefull. Can you help me with that or can you suggest any template?

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

The theme comes with responsive layout, make sure you turn on the responsive layout feature from the Theme Options so the site could adjust it’s layout when viewed on mobile devices.

I can’t find anything in the theme option, that looks like turn on “responsive layout” feature. Please explain this further.

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

Looks like you’re using MagazinePress v1.0.0, the option is available in v1.0.1. You can download it from TF download section.

How do you upgrade to the new version??? I tried downloading and installing and received the following message:

Installing the theme… Destination folder already exists…. Theme install failed

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

If you haven’t made any changes to the theme files, you just need to delete the older version in your site then install the new version.

Hi,

1. You can simply create a new custom menu from WordPress Menu settings page using Chinese and points the menu to your site homepage.

2. Open /magazinepress/includes/widgets/warrior-posts-box-one.php and then find and remove this code:
<?php warrior_post_info(); ?>

please check out the site url www.funofart.com and try to see the site through mobile or just take the browser and make the window thinner then you will see some google adsense code become visible.

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

Make sure you use MagazinePress v1.0.1 sinc responsive.css was only added since v1.0.1

After updating to WP 3.5 we’ve run into some major problems. We’re not able to add images to posts anymore; clicking the add media-button does absolutely nothing. Furthermore, the widgets aren’t accessible anymore. Going to Appearance – widgets does show the widgets, but when trying to click an arrow on the right (opening f.ex. Sidebar of HTML javascript adder widget) nothing happens. The tabs aren’t functional anymore!

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

Please download MagazinePress v1.0.1 from ThemeForest download section. It’ll fix all javascript issues.

Hello,

In the latest version, the feature images don’t link to the posts, how can I fix it??

Also is it possible to change the top search to use a google custom search? If not, how can I remove the search entirely?

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

To make the featured post clickable you need to find all codes that use warrior_thumbnail() function such as this:

<?php warrior_thumbnail( 'both', '620', '350', 'featured-large', get_the_title()); ?>

then change it to look like this:

<a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php warrior_thumbnail( 'both', '620', '350', 'featured-large', get_the_title()); ?></a>

To use google custom search, you need to change the search form on /magazinepress/header.php with the codes provided by Google and follow the instruction given by them.

Default-user

Thanks for the respond. However the instructions are not that clear (I don’s know about coding). Where do I look for the codes for the thumbnail?? (I tried in the appearance-editor, didnt found anything)

Also could’t find the search form you mentioned.

Thank you for your time.

ThemeWarriors

Hi,

It would be better to use FTP client to view the files.

Quick questions:

1) I have not yet upgraded to wordpress 3.5 but I am ready to. Should I update the magazinepress theme first, or do that after I upgrade to 3.5?

2) More importantly, I want to change the background color of the body (in the posts) from that gray color to 6b0000. Same with the ad backgrounds. The menu items, well, it would be nice to change them, but I imagine I’d have to change the PSD docs. How do I change the background color of the post bodies and the ad backgrounds to 6b0000?

Default-user

Still didn’t work.

ThemeWarriors

Hmmm, that’s weird! Can you try this instead?

#access li a {
   color: #ff0000 !important;
}
#access li a:hover, #access li:hover > a, #access li.current-menu-item a, #access li.current-menu-ancestor a {
color: #cccccc !important;
}

Make sure you’re using MagazinePress v.1.0.1

Default-user

That worked! Thanks so much.
