I bought the theme and I am pretty happy with it, but there is a problem! If I use the pagebuilder to build a template and put 9 featured products – 3 each row – it won’t show up nice if the title of the product is a bit to long.

Here you can see the problem on the front page: http://www.lingeriefans.nl/

The bottom 2 products just move down out of the line!

I hope you can help me fix this! Thx!

it’s solved.
Explanation is in the email I sent to you.

Thx for all the help :) Problem solved! Thx for the good support!

You’re welcome ! :)

Hi guys,

I’m stumped as to how you got the product categories on the homepage….

Looking at the code of your demo site, you have them set as “ajax-products” I, for the life of me, cannot find how to build an ajax-products section in your page builder to create a category list like you have

the “Ajax products block” is part of Page Builder block. Go to Appearance > Page builder, create template (if none yet), and drag and drop block to main edit area. When done with template, save it, and go to Pages > Add new (or existing page), and click on “Add template” to add AQPB template to page.

To add product categories images, go to Products > Categories, click on category and add image (button “Upload/Add image” at the bottom)

Adding AQ Page Builder templates to page is a bit indirect, but you can create reusable template block and add them throughout the site …

That’s not what I meant.

On your homepage 1 demo, you have four category links…..

bags/purses | man clothes | swimsuit | woman clothes

I wanted to replicate this…

I have since worked it out, for anyone else wondering, you need to create “Banners” and link them to your product categories..

Yes, trust me – this is “Ajax product categories” page builder block. I’ve created those and also created that demo. It’s not a “Banner” block. You’ll see that, when you click on one of bags/purses | man clothes | swimsuit | woman clothes link, the ajax loads product from clicked category, in the same page.

But, if you want to have image link to product categories page, then yes – you could use “Banner block” and then insert “manually” link to product category page.

If you want me to set up product categories, as in demo, for you, please send WP backend admin login (temporary) and I’ll set it for you.

I have the same question as DaveGranfield. I’ve read through all this and to my frustration I still can’t find how to add product categories to the Page Builder. I have the Ajax Products on there, but can not find out how to make this read categories. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually showing the Categories has been resolved, but the result now shows the categories and the products in the categories, how can I remove the products from showing and only have the categories?

Hi, there is no block that shows just product categories (no ajax), with link to product categories page, but, as I replied to DaveGranfield:
“if you want to have image link to product categories page … – you could use “Banner block” and then insert “manually” link to product category page.”

We do have “Product categories” block included in our newer themes “Cypress” and “Sequoia”, so if you contact us on themes@aligator-studio.com (with small reminder), I’ll send you the files and guidance on how to implement them in “Magnolia” to have “Product categories” block.

Your site isnt working

are you talking about our demo of Magnolia ? Because, everything is ok with theme demo …

Is it possible to expand a picture to the full size of the screen of a mobile device?

This is the only issue I found when I was testing your template, the “quick view” generates a popup so tiny that is impossible to view what is inside when a mobile device is used.

Yeah, like I said in previous reply, we will revise our media (galleries, zooming etc) management for next theme update.

Great!! Thank you!

Can I use a custom Image Gallery? like this one: http://codecanyon.net/item/fullscreen-touch-product-gallery-for-woocommerce/7911865?WT.oss_phrase=&WT.oss_rank=2&WT.z_author=Elliot&WT.ac=search_list

I really don't like how your image gallery is displayed on mobile devices.

Hi, we haven’t tested the plugin, so I cannot guarantee it will work without any issue. We will review our media management (galleries, zooming etc.) in mobile devices for the next theme update.

Maybe in the meantime you can try this FREE plugin:

Hi everyone! As you might have noticed, the new WooCommerce is out. We would advise you NOT TO UPGRADE the plugin just yet as it is not completely stable at this moment. Bug fixes are being released every day so we will wait for few more days before updating the themes. As soon as the theme updates are ready we will let you know. You can check the latest status here or on Facebook & Twitter. There is also newsletter available.

On our cart page we have duplicate ‘go to checkout’ butons will you be updating the theme soon to fix this http://www.urbanbait.co.uk/ and to incorporate the new Woocommerce version?

Jim Isles

Hi, did you updated to the latest available version ? (1.1.2) – It’s tested with WC 2.3.+ ...

No I hadn’t as wasn’t aware there was an update out yet hence the question. I’ve now updated the theme and that has fixed the issue thanks.

You’re welcome :)

You have a bug on the ajax product loader. wp-content/themes/magnolia/admin_save_options/theme_options_js.js

There is a wrong hard coded line: on Line 106 and Line 107

//var ajaxurl = "wp-admin/admin-ajax.php"; var ajaxurl = "http://alen-lt/magnolia/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php";

Thank you for the heads up. This will be overwritten when you go to theme options and hit “Save all changes” button. If that doesn’t happen, you’ll need to set write permissions to “admin_save_options” folder.

Hi guys,

I’ve updated the theme to fix some of the current WC updates, I’m still having problems with the magnolia/woocommerce/checkout/form-checkout.php file. It’s not in your latest update and I believe that it’s disabling (white screen) the checkout on my shop.

All of the other updated files worked (cart errors etc) but I cannot work out the Checkout error.

I run a child theme. I’ve swapped to the updated main theme and got the same issue.

in latest version form-checkout.php is removed from theme’s “woocommerce/checkout” folder in favor of WC original file. Since now that folder is empty (in theme), you can safely delete the whole “checkout” folder.

Hello ! awesome theme.. I also would like to turn off the flipping effect.. (for instance I put 0.0s to .flip .item-img but it’s not clean to do that) Do you have news concerning the release? Have a lovely day

to replace images flipping with simple opacity hover, please, add this into Custom CSS (Appearance > Theme options > Styling Options:
.flip .flipIt { -webkit-transform: none; }

.flip .item-img .back {
    z-index: 2;
    opacity: 0;
    -webkit-transform: rotateY(0);
    -moz-transform: rotateY(0);
    -ms-transform: rotateY(0);
    -o-transform: rotateY(0);
    transform: rotateY(0deg);
.flip .item-img.flipIt  .back { opacity : 1 }
.flip .item-img.flipIt .front { opacity: 0 }

.flip .item-img  .back, .flip .item-img .front {
    transition: opacity .5s;
    -moz-transition: opacity  .5s;
    -webkit-transition: opacity  .5s;
    -o-transition: opacity  .5s;

thx a lot !!!

You’e welcome :)

Is it possible to have the Product Titles (Name) display below the product (where the price is shown) and not when the image is flipped? We have a couple products with duplicate imagery so it’s tough to tell the difference on initial look.

This cannot be done without customizing theme html (php) code directly (and, we don’t do customization, sorry), and if you edit the code you will lose edits when you update theme …
Sorry … :/

Understood, one last question- Is it possible to have Simple products not go directly to the cart and have a choose options like feel like a variable product?

I’m not sure if I understand what you’re asking, but I’ll try to answer:
If you want to have some options on product (color, size, etc), then you must have variable product. You cannot have simple product with variations – it’s a WooCommerce way of dealing with products and it’s properties.

I need help! I have purchased your theme and installed it some time ago. I am just not coming back and revisiting it and I had it set up to redirect my cart and checkout (mywebsite.com/cart and mywebsite.com/checkout) to a third party. How do I undo that?

you can change cart and checkout settings in WooCommerce settings.

I can’t login into your support site and the password reset emails aren’t coming through to me. I’ve got major issues with my client’s very busy website http://www.urbanbait.co.uk/ we are getting the below error on the home page which I think is related to Aqua Page Builder plugin. I have updated all plugins, WP and the theme to the latest versions and the issue is still there. I have also tried deleting and adding a fresh version of Aqua Page Builder.

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/urbanbaitco/public_html/wp-includes/category-template.php on line 1153

I have deactivated all plugins and the issue is still there so I’m sure it’s theme related. I have tried everything you normally would to fix an issue like this but nothing is working.

If you could come back to me ASAP on this that would be helpful. You can email me on jim@chalkmedia.co.uk if you wish.

Many thanks,

Jim Isles

I logged into your site and replied to your email you info about fixes.
Best regards

Hi Micemade,

We recently purchased your theme and have installed a local version. On the frontend we are getting an error from the revolution slider as follows: “Revolution Slider Error: Slider with alias “home_slider_1” not found. Maybe you mean “home_slider_1”

It has been set up following directions, using page builder slider short code.

I have screen shots I can send you of the issue.

Please advise.

Thank you.

Yes, the slider zip file has been imported

oh, ok then please try this – go to Appearance > Page builder, pick the “Home page” template enter [rev_slider alias=”home_slider_1”] in the slider in page builder’s “Revolution slider” block (shortcode syntax has changed with latest Rev.Slider updates).

... correction (sorry). It seems that you should simply re-enter and save [rev_slider home_slider_1]. I just tested it and the slider appears ok. If this is not working, please send us temporary WP admin access to themes@aligator-studio.com so we can test it.

A second question Micemade. I note the theme is no longer supported. Does this mean you will no longer release updates to ensure it is compatible with new wordpress and woo updates?

We have recently purchased this theme.

yes, it’s unsupported for about 3 months since we plan to retire it from Theme forest in March 2016.
During the time that theme is still available for purchase/download, we will issue updates for WP / WC compatibility (if needed).
Before retiring, we will issue final update with code included for Github based updates for period of 6 months after retirement .

Best regards

Ok thanks. Can you please tell me what exact date you removed support for this theme?

Sorry, can’t remember the exact day, but it was in early October. If we will retire Magnolia completely on March the 1st, the support with Github updates will last until September the 1st 2016.
