Thank you thank you thank you thank you. A thousand times, thank you! You’ve gone above & beyond what a theme developer should do and I really appreciate it.

dabaman

You’re welcome. :)

I purchased your theme and I have set up a couple of widgets, but they do not appear on my site as a sidebar, what am I missing? http://www.prosperity2020online.com/

dabaman

Hi,

thats strange, once you add a widget inside ‘Appearance>Widgets’, it should appear inside a sidebar on your blog page. Please let me know what widgets you used, and I will test them and see if they are working on my site.

PS – inside you pages, wrap your content with some layout shortcode (for example: [one] your content [/one], so that your text is not stuck to the left portion of your site.

Thank you for the suggestion and reply. I figured it out with the missing widgets. It is now appearing on my blog.

Hello. I would like to know if it is possible to use an image for the background and how is the control menu? Can i do several changes with it or just the basics? Thanks!

dabaman

Hi,

- There is no direct option for adding a new background image inside the options page, but this can be done rather easy with little CSS . Of course, I will assist you if you need help.

- The same goes with the navigation menu, there are no direct settings for it. But if you tell what changes you need to make, perhaps I can help you with (changes to the look can be usually easily made).

Thanks for your answer! If I buy your theme, can you help me with the image in the background? How many sub levels are allowed in the menu? I need to have 3 items inside the gallery and 10 items inside the 3 of them, is it possible?

dabaman

Hi,

the background image is not the problem, and also you can have sub menus inside sub menus with as many items you like (but keep in mind the resolution limit). But the problem here is that you can have only one gallery (portfolio) with this theme (if you look at the demo you will see that inside the gallery you have three pages with the same content, only the layout is different), and as I see you need more than that.

Hi, nice job with theme. I love it!

How can I add in a
in the “Copyright information ” footer? I basically want to have 1 line for the copyright, then the next line have the website credits.

Thanks in advance!

dabaman

Hi,

unfortunately you can’t have two lines of text inside “Copyright information” section if you enter text inside options page. However, you can hardcode that text manually. Send me an email (from my profile page) describing what you want to do, and I’ll help with that.

I tried to create a child theme out of this, but the TinyMCE editor bar disappears in the Visual Editor, text is white and invisible. Any thoughts?

dabaman

Hi, I’ll look into it and let you know what I found.

dabaman

I’ve found the problem, and it will be fixed in my next update. Meanwhile, you can open TinyMCE.php file inside lib folder (or go to ‘Appearance>Editor’, and find it there), and near the bottom find this line:

$plugin_array['quote'] = get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/lib/js/tinymce.js';

and change get_stylesheet_directory_uri() into get_template_directory_uri(). This will fix the problem you’re having with TinyMCE bar.

Default-user

Thanks, I figured it had to do with get_template_directory_uri and get_stylesheet_directory_uri, but wasn’t sure where/which one to change.

I have another question? The theme seems to load pretty slow. On average each page takes about 10 seconds to load. what suggestions do you have to speed it up? Also, I checked the speed of the site on gtmetrix.com and it gave me a D and suggested this:

Hi,

- I’m not sure why your site is loading so slow, but it can be a combination of a lot of different things – slow hosting, a lot of additional plugins installed, large images. For example, try to optimize those header images, they can be easily compressed to a third of its size without loosing any quality.

- I don’t know why you have all those broken links, but I see that you are not using some plugins that come with this theme. For example, if you are not using flexslider nor portfolio filtering, so you should disable them by going to ‘Appearance>Theme Options’ and uncheck ‘Display Flex Slider’ and ‘Filter portfolio categories’.

- Also, you are not using accordion menu for navigation, and for some reason the tooltip effect for social icons is disabled, as well as PrettyPhoto lightbox for viewing images. Removing those plugins require some changes inside the code, so please email me for instructions, however this will not save you a lot of loading speed and you will lose the possibility to have expandable accordion menu.

Thank you for the quick response/suggestions. I will send you an email shortly.

Hello, I was considering purchasing and read in the update history that there was a version using a Nivo slider. If purchased, would it be possible to obtain that previous version from you as well? I understand that the Nivo slider would not be responsive but I would like having that second option.

dabaman

Hi,

yes, that was v1.0 which you can see at http://www.daba.in.rs/tf/maja_wp/. If you buy the theme, I’ll have no problem sending you the old version, just send me an email.

Hi,

I purchased this theme, and my question is about how can i change the color backgrounds, i need to change the side bar background and the principal background.

Thanks

dabaman

Hi,

you can change background colors with a little css (you can type it into ‘Custom CSS ’ box inisde the options page). This is for the overall bg color:

html { background:#F7F7F7; }

And this is for the sidebar:

#menu { background:#F7A31B; }

The numbers are hex values for the colors (you can get them at http://www.colorpicker.com/ ).

Hi,

How can i resize width in all the template?? and how can i use the table shortcode?

Thanks

dabaman

You can make your content width smaller if you use on of the layout shortcodes: [one_half]...[/one_half], [two_thirds]...[/two_thirds], etc. But changing width for entire theme requires a lot changes inside css.

There is no table shortcode per se, the shortcode page only shows how the table is styled, which is made with html code. Try installing a great Easy Table plugin, it will make adding tables a fun job.

Amazing theme. Made my day to switch to this. The responsive aspect is executed perfectly.

One question: my [google-map] shortcode produces a map, beautifully, but it doesn’t drop a pin in the location. It’s just centered without a pin.

Hi,

thanks for letting me know about this problem! I’ve uploaded a new version (1.5.3) where this is fixed and it will available for download as soon as the reviewer accepts it. If you don’t want to wait (it will probably take a day or so), you can email me and I’ll send you the instruction on how to fix it by yourself.

Hi, How can i add my linkedin and flickr profile??

Thanks!

dabaman

Hi,

there are no linkedin and flickr among social icons inside the sidebar, but I’ll see to add them in my next update. In the meantime, you can add links to your profiles somewhere on you page.

Hi,

How do I align the text a few inches to the right? because the text is attached to the left menu.

Regards

dabaman

Hi,

place it inside a layout shortcode, for example:

[one] your text [/one]

You place those shortcodes by using buttons inside you visual editor.

Hi! Thank you for creating this fantastic theme. A problem arose: in the google-map box doesn’t show the orange man (street view) and even the position indicator. Could you kindly tell me where is the problem?

dabaman

Hi Lellazzo, I’ve fixed that problem about a week ago, so you can download the latest version of this theme (v1.5.3). After download, just activate the new version instead of the old one, and the Google map problem will go away. :)
