Majestics - Premium Wordpress Theme

You can add category filtering but it requires a bit of faff, heres how I did it 1. If you look in Majestic’s root folder you will see a file category.php. 2 .Copy this file and add the category name to it (category-news.php) if your category is News for example. 3. Open this newly created file in Notepad++ 4. Under line 34 which is query_posts(“orderby=date”.’&paged=’.$paged); add a line like this query_posts(‘category_name=news’); 5. Upload the category-news.php to the server and BANG ! category filtering works for the News category. 6. You have to create a php file for every category you have and add a line specific to that category. 7. Remember to use hyphens and lower case when you have more than one word in a category ro capitals, i.e. SUPER News will be super-news both when naming the php file and editing the line within the file.

There’s probably a quicker and better way to do it but this works for me and Im not planning to add more categories any time soon.

Should I do a fresh install? will I loose my content then?

Hi, can this theme be responsive? On the theme purchase page there are conflicting statements http://themeforest.net/item/majestics-premium-wordpress-theme/475633?WT.ac=portfolio_thumb&WT.seg_1=portfolio_thumb&WT.z_author=wptitans . On the image of the theme on the bullet points it says it is ‘Responsive Design’ yet over on the elements on the right hand side it says the layout is fixed. I can’t seem to find where to make the theme responsive from within the admin panel. Have I missed something?

Hi, I have majestics theme and I just upgrade my wordpress for wordpress 3.5 in french but the slider manager does’nt work. The page of the slider manager is very long to load and when I click on the save button, internet cannot display the page and the changes are not done. How can I fix this ? thank you
