I just purchased the Market template but is does not seems to act responsive. Neither the once build through te builder as the pre installed once. [link removed] Please advice

The reason you don’t see a responsive template is media queries look like this
@media only screen and (max-device-width: 480px)
while on my demo sites for I use
@media only screen and (max-width: 480px)

This is required that only devices with a max device width of 480 pixels use the responsive feature

To allow media queries only on that devices (which they are made for) helps to get rid of unexpected results in Thunderbird and Apple mail.

You can remove the “device” from the media query to see how it looks in the browser

Hi, Ok that makes sence. I did not check any code since this is how we got the download. Same thing happens if we create a custom template with the builder. Is there a way we can get a working copy? So we don’t have to change the builder code ourselfs.

Ok Sorry. Since the examples where responsive in a browser, I expected them act the same. And yes you are right. True responsive should only react on mobile devices.

Hi. I tested on my HTC One and with “device” it does not act responsive. Same goes for a Nokia Lumnia 920 (win). I will try and remove the “device” part from the templatebuilder. As soon as that went well, I will rate the item :). Still love the whole concept.

the “max-device-width” does not work for these devices. Also my galaxy tab does not respond to “max-device-width” but they all do respond to “max-width” .

Can you tell me where to change this in the builder? If fixed, we can start using it and let our design dept go crazy :)

after uploading the market template to the template builder and transferring it to my mailchimp account via the api the template completely looses its responsiveness.

Did I make a mistake or is this a fact?

Great product, but I was disappointed with the lack of control in Mailchimp. Would like to see more options for changes here. (I did mine in html) Otherwise it built all the base html well.

Hi, when uploaded to CM, the CM adds “This email was sent to [email]. If you are no longer interested you can unsubscribe instantly.” to the end. This makes it really ugly, do you have any solution to add it to the message body?

This is caused by some recent changes. I’ working on the updates to fix this. Meanwhile simple move the <unsubscribe> tag outside the <singleline>. Thanks!

Here is what Campaign Monitor people said, then they analyzed the code: “Your unsubscribe tags are fine, you just need to place them in your code (<unsubscribe>) outside of an editable region (ie. not inside <singleline> tags)” Could you please correct it and put that version as a latest one. I think it pretty big deal if I cannot use it on a fly at CM.

error, error, error …..

I successfully uploaded a template through mailchimp’s API, but I didn’t realize you can’t remove sections in through mailchimps UI. So I deleted it from Mailchimp and created a custom template in your template builder. But now every time I go to stage 3 to get the HTML I get that error message giving me 1 of 2 reasons why its happening. I have done every single thing possible to get it to work and no luck. It’s driving me crazy quite frankly. The files are uploaded correctly, API is working, no open windows, logged into mailchimp…. what is going on?

Removing sections is only possible in the campaign. I had a talk with MC this week were we discuss this “problem” but it seems they sad it should be done this way

I think the author need to concentrate on MC and CM integration, if its mentioned as the value proposition. BTW, CM team seems to be eager to help and review code (it took me approximately 30 minutes to resolve everything). The authors need to change those error spots and keep up the good work for the clients.

Hi, I downloaded the Market template a couple months ago and have since been using it for our company newsletter. We have received various complaints from recipients that, upon receiving the email, their browsers lock up and they are frozen and unable to do anything. We know that two of the recipients were using Windows 8 and Outlook 2007. Also, one of the recipients is very IT-savvy, so we know it’s not a case of “user error.”

Are there any known coding issues that could be causing this error to occur? Please HELP.

My newsletter is not responsive as shown in the previews. I have replaced max-device-width with max-width in the media queries as you suggested in one of the posts but still no responsiveness.

I just uploaded the files as seen in video to my server but I cannot see any pics. Page seems to work. Any ideas what is wrong? I cannot see the text “your server is ok” like in your video.

Settings for folders? 750 or 777 – just keep them at 710?

Hi, I have purchased the market template and using it with MyMail WordPress plugin. I edited the logo area and selected to change it to an image. But the image size is way too big on smaller devices. even if I add an image 50% smaller it rescales to the 600 by 375 size. How can I prevent this please?

Also, I have read the comments about it not being responsive – in the html I see ”@media only screen and (max-device-width: 480px) {....”

what are you suggesting to change…and if we do will there be problems with Apple Mail and Thunderbird?

Also, when I try save template with modules ticked – it goes to the default Market and I loose the work i have done.

Hi!

You can change the width of the logo by altering the width attribute. switch to HTML vie or use the developer tools of chrome.

You don’t have to remove the “device” this way the responsiveness only affected mobile devices.

Best is to testrun your campaign before your send it

Hello, I just purchased your theme. I am attempting to create a newsletter via the WP Mail plugin. I am able to do and and preview however when I try to send a test email it does not work. Test emails work on all my other themes but this one. The only way I can get emails to work is if I use the builder and copy HTML. What am I missing?

Looking for a way to use this theme with Thunderbird. I’ve got that I need to use something like stationary, and install the theme alright. But is there any way of make it “functional”? i.e. to make the subject line change into the subject of the E-mail or whatever? And to make the images included in the mail?

If there’s some tutorial or whatever on this, I have failed to find it. :)

HTML hardly work on local email clients. You can try to import the html but you should use an inline version for best results
