I created an account on support forum to get help but it looks like the matrix forum is invite only. I tried to sign up and get asked for a license but I can’t even find where the license is. Download page from envato does not show a license certificate link where I can download a text file.
Can I get some help please?
when you go to your download page – click on the big “download button”. You can chose to download the theme only, all files (that includes the help files) and the liscense certificate

I just bought this theme and it looks NOTHING like the demo.. which is the main reason I purchased it. So how do we get it to look like the demo?
thanks for chosing Matrix! Like every theme – Matrix has to be set up to look like in the preview. This is because WordPress shows themes a certain way by default. In your download file you will find an extensive help files to show you how to do that – it even includes a video that shows you step by step how to get it work. It doesn’t take you more than a few minutes
Finally – we also included an XML file that you can import (under “settings”) to get some dummy content
Question.. I went to settings in WP back end but couldn’t find an xml file.. please specify where exactly that file can be found.
Another question… this appears on the help file “folder “wp-content/themes/Matrix/includes/cashe” must have mode 777” but in the folder there is cashe folder found in the theme folder
the sample content can be found in the download folder “allfiles”. This folder contains another folder called “sample content”. In there you can find a so called xml file. In the wordpress backend go to “Tools” – “import” (not “settings” – sorry). Click on “WordPress” You can now import the XML file with some dummy content. Please keep in mind that the xml does not come with the images you see in the preview. These are copyrighted so you have to purchase a license to use them. We can not offer this as a license for each image for each customer would greatly exceed the price of the item.
Also in the folder “allfiles” you find a folder called “documentation”. This folder contains a file called “index.html”. Open this file with your browser (chrome, safari, frirefox etc) to see the help file with the videos.

On the timeline, instead of it listing the date of the event, can I have it list the title of the event? Basically can I customize the timeline text for each event on the homepage? For example instead of August 30, 2014 Thursday can I have it say “Alpha Ball Event, Aug 30.” And instead of it saying how many events can I have it say something else? For example instead of “1 Event” can I have it say “Starts at 8:00pm”?
this is not a default feature I am afraid – you would have to do some custom coding to archive that. If you post yourrequest on the forum after purchase, our programmer might be able to help you though!

Click on your name on the top right of the site (next to your balance). Chose “Dwnloads” from the dropdown. Find our item. Click on the big download button and chose “license certificate & purchase code”

I have created 3 events that we are having on the same day but they will not all show up on the left side of the home page. Please help me fix this.

I checked the forum and the programmer answered you and asked where to find your wordpress install.
We can not take a look at your site – that’s the problem. The link you provide leads to a page saying “his Web page parked FREE courtesy of Computech Web” We cannot find a wordpress install/the theme on there so we can not help
We give support as fast as possible but it can take 1 or 2 days to get back with a solution. We can not support within hours – if we would do that we would have sell themes for a whole lot more.
Please make sure you read the documentation, watched the help videos and also look in the forum if anyone had the same problems as you.
Also: Make sure you have the appropriate PayPal permissions. You have to have a sellers account in Paypal (in many countries) If you do not have that you need to register it first.
How do I make it so that all 3 events that I have created show up on the left side (timeline) of the website? Right now it only shows 1 event although I have created 3 events. All 3 events are on the same day at the same time, it should all show up on the left side. Please show me how to fix this. Also please show me up to fix the Paypal integration so it works. Right now it takes me to a blank page when I try it. I have posted my concerns on the forum and no one has helped me. Any help you can provide will be very helpful! Thanks.

We only feature PayPal as a payment method at the moment I am afraid. As for the events you could use different categories and name them after the cities and then add these categories in the menu bar.
when i cheked the mobile version – the left side bar with dates are not appearing; also in some mobiles page is not opening correctly.. can these issues be sorted after purchasing..
yes the left bar is not showing because it wouldn’t fit on every screen – one has to use the normal overview page. Which pages are not opening correctly? If we find a bug we will fix it of course!
Hi, I’m just wondering if the data entry has customizable fields? As in, could I collect their name, age, date of birth and any other information I would like when they pay? Or am I limited to name and email address?
no there is no such option at the moment – you have to add fields by yourself I’m afraid.

sorry for the trouble with the support forum. The music only works per page and without a playlist I am afraid. But if you want to have a more profounf music feature you might want to consider a specific plugin for that use. There are quiet a few free and premium plugin that allow you to have a sophisticated music solution.

i purchased your theme and tried to upload wp super cache which caused conflict? what “wordpress cache plugin” works with this theme?
We didn’t test it with a specific plugin (just too many out there :O) You might want to ask in the support forum of that plugin if there is something special required by the theme to work with it. We coded Matrix with best practice code in mind so that it normally should work with modern plugins.
i love that theme, i would like to know if there is a way to change timeline’s direction. now my last event is on top, but i would like to see next event on top and later events down.
i cant find anything about changing Asc or Desc Dates in Timeline.

I do resales of tickets for a site that pays me commission, would people sign up on my website, so people sign up, it would have a link to redirect to the ticket purchase through a link.
Mmmh no I don’t think that’s possible by default – that would require some serious custom coding I guess, sorry
I just realise: why not just adverstise the event through Matrix and then send the people to you partner site via a link in the description? I think there is also a solution discussed on the forums on how to redirect people from the purchase button directly.
I am intrested in purchasing this theme. Is there the possibilty to show the next 3 events on the frontpage next to each other?

this might depend on your coding knowledge. If you are good with php and html / css, it won’t take that long maybe.
However, you will have to completely recode the homepage.
i purchased theme and from one day to another i got a problem.
On event page (archive-event.php and normal site as event) my timeline is not in correct position, when i press 2nd page on events the timeline is again in normal place.
another problem is: when i activate “show timeline only on homepage” it doesnt show up anymore.
any suggestions about that?
i re-installed theme already but doesnt take effect, so i expect some layout configs are written in sql database?!

Sure, you can remove the link. In footer.php, remove lines 168 – 171:

This will remove the link.How would you make the link more SEO friendly?
In regards to the “see all” events link, the ””?” and the ”_” (underscore) are not seo friendly according to google. Which is why Im thinking about removing the “see all” from the homepage, unless you have any suggestions to change the actual link??? Also, do you have idea when possibly you might release update for ticket purchase feature – instead it being paypal, I was hoping to use miscellaneous ticket selling websites so I was hoping that I could swap out paypal or web url instead??? And by the way, awesome site template!!!!!

The problem with the link you are having is not a problem of the theme. You should activate the permalink functionality of wordpress and the theme should render the correct links.

If I use this theme, is it possible to change what the default homepage is? Say if I do not want visitors to see the events first as shown in the demo?
