Well, because those tweaks require modifying the codes, I have not put them in the FAQ as it’s not something which can be done by most buyers. Therefore, contacting me for those changes is still the preferred method to prevent confusion made to the buyers who aren’t comfortable with modifying codes.

Regarding your questions : 1. For this, it requires modifying the codes again. You need to delete the whole container for <div id="authorinfo" /> in content-single.php. If your ‘disable’ means ‘remove’, you can remove <?php comments_template( '', true ); ?> in single.php in order to remove comments.

2. The featured content section supports HTML but not shortcodes or PHP. Therefore, if you have the HTML code for the like button, you may paste it there.

First: the FB integration is done, with a little tweaking in the html/php. Straight HTML didn’t work for some reason, so I used a javascript version. Works very nice, and is always on the frontage now! Kinda like that. But some new issues:

There seems to be a problem with my tiles: the don’t align, whatever i try. -> www.zwartwitdefilm.nl. Secondly: I cant find the template of your sample blog layout. And where can I find the overlay PNG, used to cover up the photo’s from the ABOUT page?

Hi Luc,

For the first issue, it’s because your first ‘Hello World’ post hasn’t been deleted. You need to either delete it or modify it by saving the Tile Settings, else it will still occupy a space there.

For your second question, I am not very clear about what you meant by my sample blog layout. As for the overlay PNG, do you mean the background for the text on the page image? If that’s what you meant, it’s done by CSS styling, not image. You can modify it by using #page-excerpt as the selector for CSS.

Thanks for the quick reaction, and the align fix! Well that was easy I meant the “Blog List” section, found under the BLOG link in your sample. With the PNG thing, Its the circle thats drawn out of the underlying picture (of me in this case), i want that to be just a square, not the circle. (http://www.zwartwitdefilm.nl/about/)

Edit: My link doesn’t work properly, why is that? the link in the menu works…?

For the ‘blog list’, you just need to make your Archive Tile Size as ‘List’ in Theme Options. Then, create a new category and assign it to all posts. So, when you create a new menu item, you can select the category to create a ‘blog list’ page.

About the blog list. The images aren’t loading, while i set the archive one’s too in the post settings.

Also, when I make a category “Blog”, and have another category called “inspiration”, it will show “Blog” in the post instead of the original name “inspiration”. Only way to fix this is by naming the blog list category “Z”, since it’s a alphabetical order. This however gives the problem that “Z” will be the name of the page…

And one last question. I’ve set up a html table, in order to align some things properly on my homepage. Loop up my site to see what i’m meaning. Problem is that the font and font size are different. I’ve been trying to fix this myself but whiteout success. Should I edit the CSS of

Hi Luc,

If you put ‘Inspiration’ as a child of ‘Blog’ (or ‘Blog’ as the parent category for it, in the Category settings page), only Inspiration will be shown instead of Blog.

As for your problem on font size, can you please give a link to me so that I can check out the problem?

I fixed the Blog list thing now But the image’s still don’t work. Only the ones where i set the quote sign. http://www.zwartwitdefilm.nl/category/blog-list/ I’ve set the images properly in the blog post…

I noticed that under the option “Thumbnail Image for Archive” it still says: “Current tile type : large”, while i’ve set this to list. Maybe thats the problem?

For the font size problem: http://www.zwartwitdefilm.nl, in the lower left area called “Vragen?”. I used a table to separate the icons and text properly, but while doing this the font family and size seems to change.

P.s.: Well thats a common problem I would definitely check it out, because this one is really great! Btw, see that you live in Malaysia. I’ve been there once. Amazing country!

Have you uploaded the images under ‘Thumbnail Image for Archive’ in ‘Tile Settings’ on the post edit screen? If you have already done so but it’s not appearing, please keep me updated and I’ll go to your WP backend to check out the problem.

As for the font size problem, I have already fixed it for you by adding the codes directly into your div.

Thanks for adding the code, for some reason I failed at it. But the font family isn’t the same as in the box “Under construction” next to it? I looked up the font family in the CSS: “Segoe UI”, “Helvetica Neue”, “Fruitiger Light”, Frutiger, “Frutiger Linotype”, “Dejavu Sans”, Arial, sans-serif. How to add the code directly in the code div code?

Yeah thats a well heard criticism about the government indeed. But as tourist we won’t get to see all of that. I was also very young when I was there.My father used to word on radar systems there. I cant’t remember the small Island we’ve also been to. That was such a paradise…

Thanks for your interest in my theme Well, it is possible to display the post title permanently by some code modifications. I can help you with this as it’s just a minor code modification (the post title will be displayed at where the category is currently displayed on hover and it will be shown permanently).

Thanks for that, just in response to that… is there the ability to write custom text on each tile? Just as you have “sold color…no hover effect” in your tile previews. I do a daily blog and don’t want to have to create a separate featured image each day.

But if I could assign a color and write the title of the post on the tile that would be awesome!

I think you’re referring to the HTML template because there’s no such tile in the live preview of WordPress version. However, the WP version comes with a simple tile maker whereby you can fill it with solid colour in just one click and you can even add some predefined icons to it with another click. With the title being shown permanently, I guess that has already served the purpose but do mind that there is no animation when you use the tile maker to create a solid colour tile.

Secondly, I’ve noticed all my small tiles just seem to sit at the bottom of the grid, do they appear on the grid in order of post date or creating the tile? (www.joshfox.co.uk)

Well, titles can be shown at small tiles as well but I have disabled it because I think there’s just not enough space. I can show it if you really want it to be there.

As for tiles, they are sorted by published date, with latest posts / tiles being shown at top left and others pushed to the right / next row.

I’m wanting to remove the header so that only the menu remains, or the menu and the logo. Is this just a case of deleting the <title>-</title> section in the Header.php?
