I observe it some times to times also.
It appears always by fast move mouse over portfolio grid area when hover state (coloured overlay with link icon) stay active however mouse leave this area. We work on it (it’s probably CSS transitions issue) and I hope we fix it in the near future .

It seems to be something wrong with jQuery on your site. I notice some error in console. And don’t work sliding panel top and scroll to top button.
I must investigate it.
If you can me send dahboard access (to check what plugins are installed ) it will be great.

Using Maximus in Wordpress – how do i create sub-titles on the menu?

Example: On your live preview, your menu item says ‘Home’ and underneath it says ‘all starts here’. How would i create the ‘all starts here’?

Subtitles in Maximus can be creted in Apperance—>Menus .
If you edit menu item you have some additional fields:

There you can set subtitle, select icon (will be displaed befor menu title and set custom submenu (drodown menu) width (usefull for long submenu item titles.

Hi there,

I am wondering if there is a way to a) allow the nav bar to display better on mobile/ipad and as far as the circle elements on homepage4: the functionality does not work on mobile or ipad. Wondering if you have any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Hi,
a) I dont know what you mean “to display better” nav bar. If it is another layout of menu button it is of course possible by little changes in CSS

b) Regarding circle widget on Home page 4. Generally all style of circle widget are powered CSS3 transitions. We of course know that not all browsers support this CSS3 feature however in any case in this browsers content is displayed correctly (however withowut animation effect). From other site we don’t have all mobile device for testing so generally we check functioning in Google Chrome Canary with user agent override. This can be not 100% sure. For example circle in Homepage 4 are displayed correctly in Chrome Canary by any device overrides.

Hi, and thanks for a great theme!

When I resize the browser window the background of the page content (in this case white) dissapears and the body bakground (picture) becomes visible. This makes the text very difficult to read. If I reload the page the normal layout is visible again.

How can I make the content background not to dissapear?

Hi, I just look on site.
Yes indeed by boxed layout by resizing window sometimes page main wrap background dissapers.
We check it and try to fix in CSS by next upgrade.
Generally idea of responsive layout is correctly display on mobile devices and by different screenshots resolutions rather than dynamic and immediate adaptation to manually change the size of browser window.
Of course, we can simply solve this problem by forcing the reload when the size of the browser window is changed by javascript. At least in the case of the selected boxed layout.

Hi Karolina, thanks for looking at this problem. Yes, I understand that users do not usually change the browser window, however the problem also appears when tilting my phone for example when going from horizontal to vertical layout on the phone.

Hi again, I have another question. Is it possible to have the portfolio images linking to a youtube clip instead as now to the specific porfoliopage?

I mean linking the “view details” chainicon to the “link to video” option inside each portfolio item.

Yo can use two page templates for latest post.
One with 100% thumb width, another one with 50% thumb width.

Hi Karolina, yes I noticed that there are two templates. However, there is something wrong. It dosent matter if I choose the 100% thumb or 50% thumb template its always 100%. I also cannot see the two columns that should appear when choosing 50% thumb.

Now I see that link

but if you add subset don’t work however link is generated correctly, css exist, and wof file linked in css exist also.
I must study Google documentation to find reason of this issue.

This is because you have enabled Opengraph support.
If you dissable it (Template Options—>Advanced) this meta name will be not generated.

Regarding blog from category simply use default wordpress syntax in menu
?cat=14 for example,

Upgrading this template is not working. The testing I have done requires me to delete the existing template the plugins through the webserver. I also lose all of my existing updates. What is your solution?

Well,
I always recommend backup of old files. Is normal that all changes in theme core files are lost by update.
Can be restored only by comparison old and new files.
What exactly not working after update? If you sent me dashboard access I can install newest version of theme for you.

If you mean title in header I see that is changed to Events .
I suppose that you find this string in file wp-content/themes/maximus/layouts/before.php about line 99:

Tried out the live preview of the theme under IE8, it seems that in the slider, all of the items of the previous slide are still on the screen when the next slide comes up. Are you guys planning a fix for this? I’d like to build an site and start working with this theme asap, we’ve already sent the client mockups.

Also, at the bottom where it has a list of company logos, the left/right arrows appear as black squares.

Any fix to make this work or look somewhat readable on IE7?
