I have a complex site that I built in Sommerce but now need to have mobile capability. Does the Sommerce site convert to MayaShop? The site is www.stoneforest.net.

You can’t “convert”, are 2 different themes, with a different framework and a different theme options panel. If you want to use Mayashop you have to recreate your style (but you don’t lose products, pages and articles)

Yes, you can use Mailchimp and use our newsletter shortcode (we have a form in the footer)

You can put the social icons in the left side of the black top bar, where we use the tweets

Hello, I am setting up the seo for my website with seo yoast. What should I change in the header.php from the following code (that you inserted in the default header) because I don`t want to get an error from my theme or something like that because I changed the wrong thing:

Hi,

Mayashop is a beautiful theme. A few pre-purchase questions, please.

Do you have any plans to incorporate into it the Wishlist feature you’ve included in other themes, please? (I find this theme your most elegant.)

On the product page, can the tabs be moved to go underneath the image? (Or can they stay where they are and have their text flow alongside and then underneath the image?)

Can a sidebar be added to the product page to feature Best Sellers, Top Rated or Related Products, please?

Can a product’s star rating be included anywhere the product is listed, e.g. in Best Sellers, in searches, or on the Home page?

Can some of the white space on the pages be reduced to make the design more compact?

Thanks for the info. I’m really pleased to hear you’re upgrading Mayashop. Will you be giving it all the Woo plugins and features that Room 9 has please? You’ve said it will get Zoom and Gravity Forms, and that it already has Wishlist, but do you have a list of what else will it get, please?

Do you have a date for the release of this upgrade, please?

I love that sidebar widget in Room 9 – This Month’s Best Sellers, with the 01, 02, etc. Can that be reproduced in Mayashop, please?

Is product image size fully customizable, please, particularly on product detail pages?

Do you support those third party plugins/features (sliders, wishlist) etc? If not, how would I get support for those, please?

I think we will send the update in the next week. For the moment we not included the room 09 widget, i’m sorry.

Yes, product images size is fully customizable and yes we provide support for sliders and so on.

For the white spaces we can provide you the custom css rules to remove the margin/padding from the elements.

1. What is the difference between these 2 themes regarding the SEO module ?

2. Can I change the text of the title, header, and other static text on both themes into another language ?

1. Maya has not a “seo module”. We included the SEO panel in Bazar and Room 09. Is a new feature.

Hello. We’re interested in purchasing your theme. When evaluating its code, we noticed some things and were wondering if you could provide some insight…

1. Performance — Not sure if it’s our internet connection, but the theme doesn’t load very quickly. Several online tests (Pingdom, PageSpeed, YSlow) indicate it scores somewhat low and that there are some “Critical” things that should be fixed. Also, it takes 5-7 seconds to load. Can you speak to this?

2. Code Quality — We see that the theme outputs a whopping 215 lines of code into the <head> of each page. We’re used to seeing maybe 10-15 lines, but 215… that seems excessive. Do you have plans or a way to address this problem?

3. Scripts & Stylesheets — Why is it that over 20 scripts and 20 stylesheets are loaded? Will you be pairing this down, concatenating or minifying these?

We’re still very interested despite these issues. But knowing that you have plans to address them will help us make up our mind.

We can’t improve Maya in this. There are a lot of files and css files because we have a lot of sliders, javascripts effects and so on.

Also, the theme is not “slow”. Just checked and this is the result:

Page load time: 3.82s Page Speed Grade: (85%)

Is not bad.

OK. I understand.

When comparing themes, we notice that a lot of themes only have a very small amount of javascripts and stylesheets being loaded, and rarely do they load javascript into the head of the document. Is there a reason you do it this way? We’ve read in numerous places that this practice is considered “bad”. That javascript should always and only be loaded into the foot.

So, you’re saying that we have no options to help speed up the site to the Google-recommended < 2 seconds? You can’t recommend any WordPress plugins to help?

This is a pre-sale inquiry, so we’re a little surprised at the short answer and lack of detail and help. :-\

Support ? seems a little slow.

For some reason when using the left sidebar from the homepage and product pages to show categories the right side shows the products but in 2 rows only with a massive white gap on the right side, i want to show 3 columns of products i tried some fixed from the forum but they dont resolve it…. this should be fixed ASAP its an issue.
