Hi Pirenko! Just wondering if there is a way to disable the featured image on news items (image at the top). Or how to restrict it to be only a certain height opposed to stretching to the full size of the image?

Having a small issue with uploading a logo and favicon from the Mercina options panel. When I choose an image and click “insert to post,” the image doesn’t update in the post.

Hey there Pirenko; so I’ve put a slider on a new page using a specific category but the slider is a) not auto-playing and b) showing random blocks on the right despite me leaving the body and title blank. Any idea why this might be?

a) Go to Mercina Options>Portfolio tab and make sure you have the autoplay slideshow on. If you already have this deactivate all the plugins you have and try again.
b) To hide the titles fo that specific slider add this CSS code:

Apparently the font needed to display those icons is missing. Please reupload the whole theme folder to your server and see if it solves that issue. Thanks!

The simplest way to add a specific google font is adding the correspondent line of code (obtained on the google fonts website) to the head section of the header.php file and then add some custom CSS code to apply it to the elements that you need. I hope this was clear
Yes I did that. I placed <link href=’http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Unica+One' rel=’stylesheet’ type=’text/css’> below <head profile=”http://gmpg.org/xfn/11”> line but seems not to be working. On style.css file I placed: h3 { font-family: ‘Unica One’, sans-serif; } as I want Unica One font to be used on main menu

You should add that code to the custom CSS textfield under Mercina Options>General Tab. I recommend using the !important notation too… Cheers!

Regular posts here are treated as portfolio items so you can’t do that.

I am interested in purchasing the theme but have a few questions: 1. Can I have a video on the homepage that is not a part of a slider? 2. Can I have text below that video (on the Homepage). 3. Is it possible to create a full-width page which has a video along the top of the page and info below it? 4. Can you add info on the lightbox that opens in the Black and White Thumbs page? 5. 1 – Yes, you can use one extra HTML module on the homepage like shown here: http://www.munto.net/mercina/?showall=true ;
2 – Yes, same comment as before;
3 – I don’t know what you mean with full-width page, but you can create a page similar to this one and add whatever content you want: http://www.munto.net/mercina/text-page/ ;
4 – No, at least how the theme is now. It’s not very hard to add that info anyway. If you have some HTML knowledge you should be able to do it and all you have to do is change 1 PHP file;
5 – Yes, same comment as number 3;

Now i have a question
I want my left sidebar to be non-responsive. Is this possible ? The divider chooses to get in another place if i add the search/newsletter thing in it.On top of that i had added the social media, but the divider is showing itself out of proportion.

This should be happening because of the colors you have selected. Just make sure that you select a different color for the text and for the backgrounds.

You can show multiple portfolio pages, but one for each category. To do this just add categories to the menu.
As for the slider you’ll have to add some Custom CSS code. Here’s an example:

I don’t understand… You can’t have multiple portfolio pages with different categories on top. But you can have multiple pages like this: http://www.munto.net/mercina/category/advertising/

Hi Pirenko, What’s the Default page within files directory? I would like to duplicate it if possible.
What do you mean with “Default page”?
Within “Page Attributes” you have a menu with 4 options: Default Template, Contact Page, News Page and Portfolio Page. I would like Default Template to be duplicated (and renamed) in order to set a different background color for it. May be there’s other easier solution?

but I seem to be having problems with the Mercina logo upload. The logo has disappeared and in the ‘mercina’/’general’ panel I try to upload the image for the logo but it won’t let me.

That color is a darker version of the inactive color (adjust that value if you want). Alternatively you can change it manually by opening the mercina_functions.php file or add some custom CSS. I’m sorry, but I can’t keep looking for custom things that you want to do.
