Is there a way to edit the order of the front page sections after they’ve been created? For example if I’ve created 3 front page sections then want to create another one and place it as the second front page block. I tried editing the date but that didn’t change anything
Yes there is!
There is an order box beneath the Publish button. In that box you can enter order numbers like 0, 10, 20, 30. If you want to insert a front page section between the 2nd and the 3rd page you put 11 in that order box for example

Helo, i purchased this a couple of days ago and cant seem to get past the pre-loader page, it stays at ‘0’ and goes no further. Inspecting the element it revealed 2 error messages:
• Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected end of input preloader.js:1 • Uncaught ReferenceError: sPreloader is not defined
I’ve imported the dummy content, put in things of my own and still the page does not load. I’m now out of ideas, anyone else got some?

it took a while for me to be able to reproduce this…
the error is caused by the comments in preloader.js. but it only appears in some cases (i don’t know why)...
so, either remove all the comments from preloader.js urself or download the file from here and overwrite it on ur server.

Hello again. As I get more familiar with the architecture, I experience an aesthetic issue to cope up with related to the “team” category. It’s minor, though but annoying.
Is there any possibility to force laying out the first name of a team member on one line and its last name on the line below?

the fastest and “ugliest” way would be to change the title on the team member page from “John Doe” to :there are other ways of course, but they all require code changes (in various quantity)

The shortcode [coll_contact] is used to trigger a preset contact form. That is GREAT. However, when we need to use non english words in the related fields (cyrillic or french), how dod we handle that simply? Do we have to modify the code?

either translate the texts with poedit (or something similar) and enable localization or open mercurial/functions/shortcodes.php and replace the texts on lines 504, 508 and 511.

I was designing my backgound artwork when ….
How the retina.js ( http://retinajs.com ) script used here work whit wordpress.
Do i have to upload my @2x.png manually to the media section of Wordpress to make the retina function work. Does the script will locate the file in the correct folder of Wordpress ?
Im used to design whit retina and upload manually 2 different images for every picture ( 1 whit the normal resolution like pic.jpg and a second2x bigger named pic@2x.jpg ).
So if i do the same thing except that I upload all my file the the media folder of wordpress its supposed to work ?
So my normal bg should be 1024 and my retina 2048px wide….
both images have to be in the same directory. that’s the only requirement. so u can do it either way.
one note though: if u upload img.png using the media uploader from the admin in november, and 2 months later decide u want to add its retina counterpart, img@2x.png also using the media uploader, its not good, because they will be in different directories (wp creates directories for each month)

Hello Again. Here’s a MENU question now… I have some difficulties creating a customized menu. Not “sexy”, not “creative”, just a new one… How do we access / add front page section “titles” (such as about, team, etc.)? In the left hand side of the menu interface, I see no clues on how to access this section… I also checked your dummy contents structure as a reference, and see no easy “way” to choose the “sections”.
Any tip?
hey,
by default the front page sections are shown in the left hand side of the menu interface. i assume that is not the case for u.
all u need to do is to click on Screen Options on the top-right side of the page and check the Front Page Sections check box.

By slides I mean a slider so the images are changing. I created one using the admin panel and inserted into a front page section but the images get scaled down. If it could be look like it does when you set a background image 100% that’s what I’m trying to accomplish.
unfortunately the theme does’t have a full screen slider built in. such a slider would have to be built or u can try a plugin (i’m not familiar with any
).
do you think i can easily use this to create something similar to http://citizencope.com ?

i see a lot of elements that are not available in this theme (news, tour, video, etc), so i don’t recommend buying it if u want it to be very close to that site.

Hi, is there a way to slow the scroll effect when a menu is clicked? It seems to scroll really fast and you lose the parallax effect in a way.

Is it possible to link each portfolio item to the Project URL (or an independent url entered somewhere else), instead of to the slider?
My client would like each portfolio item on its own separate page so I would like to link the thumbnail to a specific url.
not in its current form, but it’t not a lot of work. if u decide to buy the theme, send me an email using the contact form from our profile page (after u buy it) and ill send u the changed files.

I’m new to wordpress. I managed to establish the basics by using their free themes however after downloading this amazing theme, I’m running into the “wtf” stages of “I don’t know what I’m doing”. IE. I keep previewing my uploads and revisions and am getting a screen that shows “oops” or a range between “60-75”. Is there a tutorial or step by step someone can point me too. Or at least resolve the aforementioned issues. I would be beyond appreciative.

take a look at main/documentation/Mercurial Documentation.pdf. also, give the dummy content xml a try (import it into ur wp installation) so u can check out how we’ve created the demo site.

OK issue resolved. However An important feature is confusing me with this theme. I can’t seem to locate/use the blue option icon. I’m not sure what this is or where to find it. I’m aware of it’s function and know what I need to do but I can’t find it to you the shortcodes.

Hello back Collision guys. I now seem to have an issue with styling colors of SECTION BACKGROUND COLOR. And here’s the problem. (1) I modify the custom BG color with… a color, precisely (say a pale bluish white such as #e1e6e5); (2) I previsualize this modification – things look nice; (3) I save this modification; (4) I verify that the section displays as requested and this looks nice too BUT (5) when I go back to the site “main” and only page, not the specific section, changes do not apply.
This issue also applies, in some cases, seemingly, to section titles… I check the “show section title box” > change applies I set title font size to 20 > no size change / showing bigger, default I set title color to #cc018c > showing plain black #000…
The computer cache is flushed out. And pages are refreshed. So… I scratch my head and do’nt know. Any bady experiencing, maybe the same difficulties?
