I am trying to build my page and for some reason, content builder is not saving. I have read the comments and disabled all plug ins and it is still not saving. I have set my page to full width and/or default and its still not saving. Also can I add the elements via short code if not using content builder? Thanks!

I saw 1 portfolio item with empty featured image. When you create a portfolio item, did you upload its featured image using “set featured image”?

Hi, the site has 5 portfolios (under Wedding Events menu) and each of them has been set a featured image so that you can see five portfolios on home page. And even though I forgot to set featured image, I also see all portfolios when I click on Wedding Events menu.

I have checked “portfolio-4.php”, the problem happened because the while loop “if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ...” only return the post id of “Wedding Event”. It doesn’t return all portfolios “Vintage Ceremony, Wonder of the sea …” These portfolios have been set as “Portfolio content”

Note: I haven’t edit the theme code, just change the some color in css. Do you need Admin account to have a look?

At the line 43 in portfolio-4.php there is a command get_header(). I do like this to debug

echo ‘Num portfolios:’ . $wp_query->found_posts;

get_header();

The first command will return correctly the number of portfolios (5 items). After calling get_header(), the third command will return empty. So what happened with get_header() ? Please advice

I checked inside “themes/mercury/header.php”. Do like this

echo ‘Num portfolios before wp_head() :’ . $wp_query->found_posts;

echo ‘Num portfolios after wp_head():’ . $wp_query->found_posts;

Fixed:

the theme seems to be resetting the query when calling wp_head(). I’ve fixed this by moving “get_header()” before “query_posts($query_string)” in “themes\mercury\portfolio-4.php”

But I still leave your original code for your checking. Kindly update me if you know the exact problem.

It shouldn’t be issued since it displays correctly on demo site and so do other 1,100+ customers site.

It might be issue from your plugins which change wp_query in wp_head or did you made changes on theme code?

I have changed some php files to integrate captcha in contact form. But then I have reverted back to the original one. I think should be one plugin cause the problem. Here is the list of all active plugins(latest version)

Hi,

It’s linked to you local file so when you upload it online it doesn’t work. You have to use images which is online too (ex. on your server).

returns “Internal Server Error”. Please contact your webhost. They should be able to see errorlog.

Hi,

You can remove Google map using Theme Setting > Contact. But if you want to add fullwidth image instead of map. You have to edit code in contact.php

Unfortunately a problem again …

After I installed W3 Total Cache, the password-protected page does not work properly.

You must now enter the password twice.

After the first password entry (and press the login button), it seems as if the page would reload and then displays an empty password field again. After enter the password the second time it works …

Before activating W3 total cache it works perfect.

Please help, what to do.
(I want to use w3 total cache, so please don’t give me the advise to disable it!)

First, please make sure you updated to the latest version of theme.

Setting up Gallery of Categories page

Mercury also has built-in “Gallery Categories” so you can organise galleries into category. When you create a gallery. Look at Gallery Categories box and check category you want to assign the gallery to and click “Update”.

Next is to create a gallery category page. Go to Appearance > Menus. On the left side, you will find “Gallery Category” box (If you can’t see it, click on screen option (top right) and check on gallery categories). Check the category you want and add to menu item. Once finish, click “Save Menu”.
