Hey there,

Great looking theme !!! Congrats, I have a question…

How much has seo been considered for this theme ?

Is it highly seo optimized ?

der
der Author

The theme has been coded using good practices when it comes to SEO. Everything has been semantically coded using headings and other content in a way that is search engine friendly. This is enough for most cases.

If you need more sophisticated SEO controls, then you can use a plugin, such as the Yoast SEO Plugin.

Hey, The slider in the homepage doesn’t seem to work. When I look at the code using FireBug, I see this:

Seems like the SITE_URL isn’t parsed?

Similar issue I see when I go WP admin > Galleries > some gallery. I don’t see the images. For example, the link shows:

Please assist. Thanks

Nothing can be expected to work because the demo content was not imported correctly.

You need to follow the instructions to install the demo content if you want things to work. Read the README.txt file on the Sample Content directory. The steps are there.

For any other issues, please let me know in the Support Forums.

Dont work ” Save Settings ” in layouts -> Blog Posts dont save. Help

Assuming you have installed the theme (or WordPress) correctly, this should not happen. Uninstall the theme and make sure you follow the installation instructions on the documentation.

If you still have problems, please refer to the Support Forums and post your issue there.

hi,

can i ask a question, can i show the user icon in the post preview or

post. for example the post is create by XXXXX (user icon) ?

der
der Author

The post information is displayed using the Section Title, which is the bar below the header, when viewing the post or page. For each layout, you can choose what to display in the section title.

This also includes the “By author” part (which shows the icon). Which you can change using the Translation Editor. You can see this on the Single Post preview page.

If you are referring to something different than the Section Title, then I believe what you’re asking for is not a feature the theme provides.

No need for a capture screen. You can see it below the page title on the link I just gave you.

Hi der, Great theme! Work of art. Congratulations.

I wanted to ask, can you check why my TwitterBar feed wont update on my site? Is it my server, or perhaps twitter is rate limiting it or something wrong with my configurations?

Thanks

der

Make sure you follow the configuration steps to get the twitter credentials. If you do things as explained, there is no reason for it not to work. That is, if your version is 1.0.35.

If you are on an older version, update your theme to the latest version. This may fix it too. Also make sure you follow the steps on Theme Options ?Twitter.

Hello there! Just loved the design! Really amazing, clean and cool stuff!

I have a decisive doubt to decide ordering it or not: —Is there a easy way to narrow the width of entire site a little bit and keep it responsive? I really wish it is possible and easy doing it (I’m a begginer in programing)...

Thanks friend. Wish you sell even more of it!

der
der Author

You can set the grid width to 960 or 1170, and still keep it responsive. I think the answer is yes :)

Hey, How can I change the “padding-left” value in the vector icons sections, for example at Homepage 1 the vector icon posts section I got this:

How can I change the padding-left value to something else?

Thanks

der
der Author

The left padding is directly affected by the Size Factor setting of the icon posts component. It changes proportionally depending of the size factor you specify.

In order to alter the padding, you would need to add some custom CSS and alter the theme’s styles, therefore, CSS knowledge is required.

There doesn’t appear to be any way to display the Portfolio Posts in such a way that the single posts can be accessed… I’ve left a post in the Support Forum. Nice theme, but some things are not clear, even for experienced folks… but I’m sure as a new theme… these things just need to be worked out.

der
der Author

I agree. The feature is not there because I missed it when developing. It should be there (and it was planned to be there since the very beginning) otherwise there is no point in having portfolio posts.

The reason I will ship this on the next week (Monday or Tuesday), is because I am in a mini vacation with my wife and family. I get back home tomorrow.

It is my top priority, its just that I can’t update the theme using an ipad.

OK, thanks. I understand… this is actually for “my own site” so it’s an even bigger deal… :-) ASAP would be great. I’ll work around it for a couple of days. Please advise when fixed. ~Jeff

UPDATE: Meteor 1.0.36 is available for download. You have 2 new Layout Editor Components: “Blog Portfolio Posts” and “Meteor Portfolio Posts”. These display portfolio posts like their regular post counterparts.

Hi. Great looking site. I’m trying to simply upload it with the content that appears on the demo. Having no luck. I seem to have parts of it up and all the images uploaded … but doesn’t seem to link up to the site. www.ejvisuals.com … I think I’ve followed all the directions correctly.

Hi – I have a few questions:

What are the main differences between Meteor and Blocked?

Will all WordPress Plugins work with these two themes?

Can e-commerce be set up with them?

Thanks…

der
der Author

They are two very different themes. They share the same framework and the features derived from the framework, such as the form builder, layout editor, translator, etc. They are both very powerful themes.

My themes are coded according to the WordPress standards. They are plugin compatible. After that, it’s the plugin responsibility to work correctly. The implementation is designed in a way that avoids conflicts with plugins.

I haven’t tested e-commerce myself, therefore I can’t provide you with a straight answer, but it may work. I see no reason otherwise.

I just updated and was looking for the new layout editor components listed above, but did not see them. Are there additional steps I need to take?

der

These will appear when you try to add a new component in the layout editor. If they don’t, then clear your browser’s cache and try again.

Yes … worked great

I’m unable to save settings in some Layout areas. For example Layouts > Blog Standard. When I edit “Blog Posts” and change “Link Text” to something else, and then click save, nothing happens.

Come to think of it, even I do not change a thing and I click on save, nothing happens.

This could be caused by a broken (or overridden) jQuery or plugin in your WordPress environment. Please refer to the Support Forums and post your issue there, you’ll get the help you need there.

Hi again Support. Just would like to ask another question regarding the theme. We are happy with the theme, and did several customizations to colors and layouts with to our site.

However, we encountered one very strange problem. All of a sudden, the sub-menus disappeared and we can’t find a way to bring them back. I am pretty sure the submenus were there after installation, but after a while, they were gone!

When I checked the HTML mark-up, the submenus are actually there (ul > li), they just don’t show up.

Any ideas why? Thanks in advance.

This theme is beautiful! Any plans to release an html version? (ie: not wordpress?)

der

Yes, it is already on plans to release an HTML version. I am waiting a bit more to do a more strategic release. Go to my profile and follow me to be notified when it is released on the ThemeForest homepage.

Hi Team,

This theme is awesome!

I’m looking to set up my website for a small video production business.

Your guidance would be much appreciate it as I’ve never setup a website before.

Questions:

1 – Which are the main advantages and disadvantages of choosing a WordPress site v/s HTML?

2 – on my website I’ll like to upload some videos in the portfolio and home page. Is it possible to embed and link Vimeo or Youtube videos into this template?

3 – I have some IT skills but I’m not a web developer, how difficult is to prepare and administrate this template before put it into production? Could I do it myself or would I need a web developer to do it for me? (this considering that I need to put some video from Youtube/Vimeo into the home page and portfolio)

Thank you very much :) Regards,

Howdy @CreativeCreations,

1. The WordPress version of a theme is fully functional, and has an admin section in which you configure and publish your content. The HTML version of a theme is specially designed for developers with experience with Web Technologies to implement the design in their own application or backend.

2. Yes, you can embed those.

3. You can use the theme without coding. The Layout Editor provides a graphical way to prepare the layouts on your site. The theme provides shortcodes, which are not actually coding, but follow a very simple syntax.

Shortcodes are explained in detail in the theme’s documentation, and it assumes no prior knowledge required when it comes to shortcodes.

You use shortcodes to create buttons and many other design elements. You can see the Shortcodes page on the live preview, to see the content that you can add using shortcodes.

Ernie.-

Hi Support. Is there any way for us to change the textbox colors e.g. the font color of the textbox, the background color of the textbox, and the same when the textboxes are hovered or focused?

Thanks.

der
der Author

Hi @robearth, the colors for the elements you have mentioned are inherited from the settings in the color editor. To manually change them, you would need to add your own CSS into Theme Options > Advanced, Custom CSS field.

Hi team, Just bought this theme and I was wondering if you provide all the pictures that appear in the demo. Can’t find any.

Thank you CT

der
der Author

Hi, the images from the demo are not included in the download. When you import the demo content you get all of the live preview images in your media library.

To import the demo content, follow the instructions in the README.txt file, located in the Sample Content directory.

Any other questions you may have, please post them on the Support Forums, since ThemeForest comments are best for pre-sales questions only.

Hello, I’m gonna sound like an echo of previous comments here : GREAT THEME ! :)

I would like to know if there is a translation option in the admin.

I mean for instance for the contact page, is there an easy access to such elements in your custom admin ?

Thanks in advance

der
der Author

Thanks for your compliments :)

Yes, you have a built-in translator that you can use to localize the theme’s text (not content) to your own language.

The contact form is a page with a layout assigned. The form itself is built using the Form Builder shortcodes, which you add in the WordPress editor or in the Layout Editor.

Layouts are created in the Layout Editor and assigned via Theme Options > Layouts, or in each individual post or page.

Excellent ! thank you for your quick answer. Also, is there any known issues with the all-in-one-event-calendar plug in ? Or do you know any commercial or free Events Calendar plug in I could use ? (i know i’m slightly out of topic here, just trying my luck…) Thank you for such a great theme ! still have to convince my client but i think it’s a matter of hours…

der
der Author

The theme has plugin support, so it should support any plugin you throw at it (as long as the plugin doesn’t require editing the theme). After that it’s the plugin’s responsibility to do things right.

There was an issue reported a few days back with the All in One Events Calendar Plugin. The plugin was breaking the Meteor’s Admin and Layout Editor interface. Back then I have debugged the situation and there was nothing to fix on Meteor’s end.

I have just now activated the plugin (version 1.9) and nothing breaks, so I think the issues have been fixed.

Other than that, I haven’t seen any other incompatibilities with plugins.

This is a fantastic theme. Not only is it a great looking design but the included layout manager makes it easy to customize. So far its done everything I could hope for and more. Thanks for creating the best theme out there.

Ernie,

Beautiful theme. I’m a user of “Handcrafted” on two sites, elanphotography.com and evanstonfarmersmarkets.org, and your work and support has always been exemplary. Have a friend whose site needs beautification and I think Meteor is the way to go. Hope they agree. To paraphrase the Dos Equis guy, “I don’t always do websites, but when I do, I prefer Der Design.”
