is it possible to install the theme on a clean 4.2.1 installation? because i get message “can’t install because my version 4.2.1. vbulletin file 4.2.0”
Hello,
Yes, it’s possible. Just set ‘Ignore Style Version’ option to ‘Yes’.
@scriber What I did is to just change the vbversion to 4.2.1 in Metro-Forum.xml line 3 and everything installed fine!
Pixelgoose, did you receive my email? Do you have some instruction for custom tabs (forum, home, and so on) with fixed img?
Hello,
I answered you by email!
Hi, Thank you. I almost solved the all problems, except the customization of the 120×120px nav tabs, that I would replace with images, same width. It’s enough, the rest is absolutely perfect. Look forward your reply.
Quick question, Is their a brand free option for this theme?

Hello,
Please check your spam folder – it seems you don’t get emails from us.
Thank you Pixelgoose for the fantastic support. With the new version I have to update the skin. Will I leave the all modifications made to css and so on? Do you have a list of modifications so one can update manually the template?
Hello,
As a matter of fact only two templates were changed significantly – the ‘navbar_tabs’ template and the ‘vbulletin-chrome.css’ template. They were changed due to the new tab style – it can be used as a dropdown menu now. If you want to update them manually, you can do it for the main theme only, the other color variations will inherit the changes. And don’t forget to upload and rewrite the image folders – there are some new images inside them.
If I well-understood, I’ve replaced Metro-forum.xml and Metro-forum-fluid.xml and overwrote all the images (the entire Metro folder in /images, like the first installation). I am customizing the gold fluid and teal fluid, but I didn’t (re) import the xml files. Is it correct? As these variations inherits the codes from the main xml files? Other question: where do I go to customize the drop-down menu’?

hi, did you receive my email ?
Hello,
I’ll answer you today!
Hi author,
How do I change the icons on the new tabs? I mean the main nav on the header (the boxes for forums, blog, cmc, etc under the register and login links) when I add a page, only the plus sign appears for that tab.
Please advise.
Hello,

Enjoying the template! My “Articles” section has the header issue where the “Admin-Defined Navbar Section Links” are squished with the blue metro header piece that contains the “What’s New – Articles – Forum – Blog”.
I read it may be a height issue on another’s comment but unable to find that fix.
Hello,
I answered you by email!

Hello,
Not yet. We are working on it now.
Hi PixelGoose,
Are you going to be porting the Metro Theme to VB 5 at anytime in the future?
I love the theme but really want to use VB5.
Hello,
