I asked a question directly on your form of your support website and haven’t heard back for a few days now. So I’m asking here to get a speedy response.
It was regarding the porfolio linking without filtering the correct ones on load. e.g.: http://www.euged.com/demo/metrolium/portfolio-category/development/
This page loads ALL the categories… is there a way to get this link to load a specific portfolio category only? I am using 1 column style.
Could you please provide me the link where you’ve posted your question because we’ve answered all support requests, none are without reply?
Was this not added in the last version of metrolium?
That might explain it, although I haven’t personally seen any messages come through, unless they were spammed.
Anyway, the thread you’ve linked is marked as resolved so there doesn’t appear to be any issues with that and I’m not entirely sure that thread is the same issue you’re describing.
The best thing to do would be to create a new thread of your own describing the issue in as much detail as possible and someone will get back to you shortly.
We are currently outside of support hours so it’ll be tomorrow morning that it’s picked up, around 9:00am.
Thanks Euged. Posted it here just in case others are in need of the same request. http://www.euged.com/support/discussion/direct-url-to-portfolio-categories-not-filteringshowing-correctly/
Perfect post, really easy to understand, thanks! =)
Hi, Love this theme! A few pre-purchase questions:
1). Will it support WP 3.6.1+?
3). Is demo content available to install?
4). How many plugins are required to run the theme the same as the demo? ..and how many widgets?
5). Does it support WooCommerce?
1) Yes, we will support 3.6.1.
2) Yes, demo content is available to install.
3) Minimal; 2 plugins (LayerSlider & Contact Form 7), 2 theme widgets (Social Icons & Recent Tweets) and the other widgets used are standard. We don’t bloat the theme. =)
4) Afraid not. We are soon going to be releasing a similarly designed (metro inspired) theme though which is a WooCommerce theme and its first focus is commerce. Shh though, it’s a secret!
Thanks for your comment and questions, I hope this answers them. Do let me know if you have any others. =)
Great! I’m holding off as I love this theme, but need WooCommerce integration. Crossing my fingers.
Do you have an estimated ETA?
We’re about 2 weeks away from release I expect. If you’d like to drop me your email, I’ll let you know when we release it.
Just one question:
When I upload logo be automatic resize to 150X50px why?
How can I unlock the logo size?
I found the answer here: http://www.euged.com/support/discussion/change-logo-size/
Good investigative work themarper. =)
I need your help. I am installing theme on http://hit61.com/vmt/ I am having issue in adding slider. If i enter short code on home page it works but line under logo and menu always show [layerslider id= Can you please explain it is coming from which file?
It looks like you’ve figured it out? If not, please register and join us on our dedicated support forum. There have already been a number of discussions around sliders and you’ll probably find that one of those helps answer your question. If not, you’re obviously welcome to start your own post. =)
That would be really helpfull
If you could please sign up and post on our support forum and we’ll help you out. These comments aren’t really the place for pasting huge exports of code. =)
this theme have price table shortcode?
I’m afraid not. There are however, plenty of plugins that provide this functionality.
What a good looking theme! I am considering buying it but have one question before I can do this. Sorry if it sounds silly (newby here) but will I be able to put third party ads on my site when using Metrolium?
There’s no reason why you can’t do this either by using a plugin, using a child theme or using widgets.
I hope that this helps to answer your question. Do let me know if you have any others and don’t worry, there’s no such thing as a silly question. =)
xml file is included there?
Yes, XML files are included. =)
Hi, does the theme support WP 3.7 yet?
I haven’t tested yet but I very much doubt anything has changed majorly enough from 3.6 for it to have broken theme support. =)
I can confirm that it’s working just fine Thanks!
Thanks for reporting back, I’ll update our item page.
Whats the url for the RSS feed? Because on my domain .no/feed I get:
This page contains the following errors:
error on line 3 at column 1: Extra content at the end of the document
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.
Why is this? And how can I fix it? Thanks.
Without seeing the page and full error message, it’s impossible to say.
If you could please register and post your issue on our support forum along with a link to the page in question, we’ll take a look.
Does this theme support forums… bbPress, buddyPress?
I’m afraid we don’t offer official support for either of the above, they may work to some degree but we offer no guarantees.
I like this theme a lot, and I have a client interested in using it. I am sorry to be a pain, but I have a few pre-sale questions regarding some simple things I was hoping you could answer.
The logo- Can that be set to any size, or am I limited to certain size constraints? They are questioning if I can make their logo bigger, but I am not sure how big the theme will allow unless purchased obviously.
The navigation- I think they are curious if navigation items can be “bigger or bolder”, though it contradicts it being cleaner. Also, I know the sticky menu is an option, but is there an option or support to “center” the navigation if they want it like that, or should I just assume that it will remain aligned to the right?
Also, can I remove the call to action section on the homepage?
I think those are the main questions this theme seems really flexible and well documented!
You can change the logo size and navigation to your hearts content. Obviously there’s the question of how big can you go with responsive design without spilling to new lines at various breakpoints and it will also be impacted by the number of navigation links you have but you can certainly change the logo, font sizes, weights etc, there’s nothing stopping you doing that.
As for centering the navigation, again, you could create a custom header template using one of ours as a starting point (hint: use a child theme) or you could use the included header v3 option which looks like this: http://www.euged.com/demo/metrolium/headers/header-styles/version-3/
You can add/remove any of the homepage sections, including the call to action, it’s only there on ours as a demonstration of all of the options available to you, we don’t force you into using any of it though, we just provide the starting point and building blocks, what you do with those is your choice.
I hope this helps to answer your questions, do let me know if you have any more and good luck with your new client site. =)
Ah, I didn’t even see the different header options! Now, if I change the header option would I still need to use a child theme, and will it display on all pages (even homepage)...sorry not much of a back end programmer.
The chosen header will display across all pages, yes.
You won’t need to use a child theme for any of the options you see on the demo, the only reason you’d use a child theme is if you want to edit core files.
If you’re happy to use the provided functionality and only want to add some custom CSS, you can do all of that within WP admin using WP Customizer controls and theme options, and all using the main/parent Metrolium theme, super simple. =)
are there more social icons then the demo shows? Pintrest? deviantart? etc. THX
The current social icons available are Behance, DeviantArt, Dribbble, Facebook, Flickr, Forrst, Github, Google+, Instagram, Lastfm, LinkedIn, Pinterest, RSS, Soundcloud, Tumblr, Twitter, Vimeo, WordPress, YouTube and more being added as people make requests, that we’re able to source obviously. For example, our next release will include an email icon for use with newsletter subscribe links.
Thanks for your question, let me know if you have any more. =)
Is there a way to make the accordion show recent blog posts?
Meaning, a truncated post title, then post excerpt in the accordion drop down?
Apologies for the delay in reply, only just back from Christmas/NY break.
In answer to your question, I’m afraid there’s no way to do this out of the box, you’d have to develop a custom template part for this.
If you have any other questions, the quickest way to get responses is through our support forum. Happy new year!
- Wordpress 3.8 working with this?
- Can I make the front door slider 3/4 col. width and have a 1/4 col to the right with a text box? And will it work responsively?
Sorry - I see the 3/4 col slider on the Magazine door. Still - about integration of WP 3.8?
We haven’t officially tested Metrolium with WordPress 3.8 yet, however, I’d expect it to work just fine as nothing introduced should break anything.
Also, so that you know, we’re still very much supporting Metrolium and continuing its development, so if you do find something wrong, we will fix it in a timely manner for you.
Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for considering Metrolium. =)
Hi, a couple more pre-purchase questions:
We are needing to do make an event registration system using Gravity Forms, Stripe payments, and custom post types (using advanced custom fields).
We are confident in how to make the forms and Stripe integration work, but we will need to do custom template files for the events listing page, and individual event pages. With your theme, will it be possible to create files such as page-events.php and single-event.php so that we can do our own WP query loops and markup in there?
It’s possible with all WordPress themes to create custom templates such as page-whatever.php and/or single-posttype.php, you’ll be able to do that whatever theme you choose to work with. =)
I would recommend though that you use a child theme, basically this means that you’ll have two theme folders, one for Metrolium, one called Metrolium-child. You will make all of your changes and custom templates in the child theme which in turn inherits all styles and functionality from the parent theme, allowing you to also make overrides in the child. This will mean that you’ll be able to safely stay up to date with updates without risking overwriting your custom changes. Hopefully this makes sense, if not, give “WordPress child theme” a search on Google and you’ll find lots of resources to look into.
I hope that this answers your questions, if anything doesn’t make sense, let me know and I’ll try to explain further. Also, let me know if you have more questions. =)
Super bummed guys – you’ve always provided excellent support, but my request to check out an error in your theme (at least according to the gravity form developer) hasn’t been answered in a week…and I haven’t seen it posted on your support board, even though on the support forum, it said my message was sent successfully. Feeling hung out to dry here!
We tend to support twice daily between 9:00-9:30am and then again at 5:00-5:30pm on weekdays. I personally emailed you back twice asking you to post your support request on the forum as it’s the only place where we offer support as it allows us to ensure that everyone we support has actually purchased our theme and also to allow us to keep track of support requests and their conversation history.
You mention that your support request said that it had been posted but isn’t showing up which would explain why we haven’t replied to you as obviously we can’t reply to requests that don’t exist.
We’ve never experienced or had any complaints about this issue before. If you could please try posting again and take a screenshot of the message where it tells you that your request has been posted successfully to us via email if your request once again doesn’t show up.
I’m also assuming that you’ve purchased Metrolium on another account because you don’t have the “PURCHASED” label next to your name?
Rest assured that once we receive your support request on the forum that it will be handled swiftly. We never leave any customer “hung out to dry”, as you will have seen by our activity on the forum and also by the dozens of comments on ThemeForest that mention how great our support is.
EDIT: well, i should have known that it was an issue on my end…captain dumbass here was posting the issue on the general contact form, instead of the theme support board. i anticipate the same great support i’ve always received.
Hi, i’m very interested with your theme.
The preview with chrome is perfect, but with IE (i’m on v11) some icons (header, nav bar, etc) doesn’t appears and with firefox (i’m on v26) all icons displays squares.
Dis you plan to add updates to address this issues ?
Thanks for letting us know about the issues you’ve seen. The versions you’re using are the latest and as such, we’ll definitely be looking at those and providing a fix asap. =)
I purchased this theme a while back and came back to use it, but it’s no longer in my account. What happened???
I’m afraid we have no control over your ThemeForest account or your purchases so we’re unable to help you with this. You will need to contact Envato support and explain to them your issue, they’re the only ones who can investigate this for you.
I purchased this theme a a few days ago. Today I want to create an account on support but it says “The item purchase code you entered is invalid”. I took the code from the License Certificate. What I can do? sorry but my english.
Could you please try again? I believe I have managed to find and resolve the issue. If you could reply and let me know either way, I’d appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for your patience and speak to you on the forum very soon – hopefully! =)
Thanks! I am already registered
Hiya Really love the theme. Super customizable. I have one silly problem with the footer. I saw a guy who only needed 3 widgets there, and so do I.
How do I only get 3 widgets? Can’t seem to remove the fourth one.
You can find this option under ‘Appearance > Theme Options’. =)
Ah ok. Thanks alot
I have another question. I found http://www.eski.io/documentation/metrolium/#sec-example-templates Although, I can’t figure out how to import the icons used for accordions.
Use, by you or one client, in a single end product which end users are not charged for. The total price includes the item price and a buyer fee.
Why buy with Envato
