Hello,

I’ve just purchased the script, installed Concrete5 but encountered the following issue:

"Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/MYSITE/public_html/responsive/packages/controller.php/controller.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/MYSITE/public_html/responsive/concrete/core/libraries/loader.php on line 327"

What shall I do? Please help me!

Hello xixo, Thank you for purchasing my theme !

At first glance this looks like a very bizzare error.

The theme has been tested by me and the reviewers here at themeforest. From 12 buyers so far, you are the only one to repport such an issue.

However I will do my best to help you in any way I can.

So send me a message through the contact form on the profile page, with all the details you can provide related to this issue.

Regards, Tudor

Everything is fine! This issue was due to my server PHP adjustments. Thanks a lot for your support.

tudor – it looks good, but users with Int. Explorer (certainly IE8) are experiencing some odd font issues. Its ironic that a theme which is essentially based on a Microsoft styling works best on anything other than IE!

The issues are the font colour on the panels on the right shows as black (which is poor contrast) and the icons etc on the left are in blue. Any ideas for a simple fix?

Hello drpoly, Thank you for purchasing my theme !

As you can see written on the right of the item description: Compatible browsers: IE9, IE10, Chrome, Firefox, etc.

This is a modern template and relies alot on css3 features like transitions, which are not available even in IE9. Hover, as you can see it displays nice in IE9…

It’s impossible to design something that works perfectly on any environment and, at the same time, make it look and behave cool.

So…a simple fix for IE8…. well IE8 doesn’t support rgba colours, so this simple css should work: body { color: #fff; }

Hi, Just tested your theme on my iphone 5. If you test it, you will see that it does not render correctly and just shows the standard web site rather than the mobile version. If you google it you will see that it will require an adjustment to you CSS. Hope this helps.

Thank you,

Kirk

Hi Kirk, Thanks for testing and taking the time to comment. The site renders as intended. It is all done with css3 media queries that display different styles according to device width (in pixels). In the case of iPhone 5 and other full-HD high-end phones, the resolution width is very high, and thus you get the same look as on a desktop. If you would use a phone with a resolution of 640×360 or less, you would get the look you were thinking about. Hope it makes sense. Regards, Tudor

Hi,

I cannot express how much I love your work, it is amazing! I have never used Concrete5 before but I guess I love this theme way too much that I am willing to learn it :)

tudor_sv

Wow, thanks so much for your feedback ! :) Concrete5 is a really great and flexible CMS.

Hi,

It was very easy to set up, I am loving it. thanks again.

cheers

GREAT. Have fun with it :)

Hi, I like this template a lot! Very elegant and love how it doesn’t reload the whole page at every click like most CMSs. I’d like to use it for a Hostel’s website so I wanted to know if it is adaptable enough? I’d want to change “Resume” to “Rooms”, for example, and enter information accordingly: Can I change the “Skills” block into a picture or gallery of pics like on the “About me” section?

Thanks a lot! Mike

tudor_sv

Hi Mike, Thanks alot for apreciating my work ! I don’t think it’s the best choice from an adapatibility point of view. The text and icons of the blocks on the left can be easily changed, but the content type (sliders, galleries, text boxes) don’t offer much flexibility. The design and it’s aplicability as a CV template was my main focus when the theme was made. Best, Tudor !

Good evening.

Thank you for your theme, just bought it recently. I have a problem. I use latest OpenServer, and the latest concrete5 cms version. When i put the package to localhost/packages and then try to access it via admin panel (Add Functionality) i see the message:

Awaiting Installation Unknown Package v.0.0 Broken package (handle theme_metro_me_c5). and not active button with text Can’t install (This package is corrupted. Make sure it has a valid controller.php file and that it has been updated for concrete 5.7 and later). Sorry for my english.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Hello Aliksan,

Thank you for buying this theme ! I have already replied by email. Concrete 5.7 is a very recent release with major changes and none of the previous made themes and packeges aren’t compatible with C5.7. So, to use this theme you need to use any Concrete 5.6.x version. Which can still be found on the C5 website: http://www.concrete5.org/get-started

Best, Tudor
