Great theme – love it!
I’m having a problem with the portfolio though.
I have read the documentation and set up the portfolio as directed (I think). It says in the directions that you don’t have to click on ‘insert into post’ or ‘insert gallery’, but when I do this, nothing shows up.
You can see my site in progress here – http://jamesraffan.ca/inprogress/galleries/. None of the portfolios are working correctly (although #3 is the most correct).
Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

You just need to remove [gallery] shortcode from the description of the item and write a description. try to set “No paddings” option for the block with the image http://grab.by/k4Ls and remove all shortcodes and white spaces around an image.

I’m almost done – great theme – but…
1. I don’t understand why the titles plus icon images are not aligned the same – see the 3 homepage-blocks – they should all be on 1 line (agence web) is lower than the other – please help.
2. How can I animate the slider? as we can’t search the support forum I as for it again

1. It seems there are extra white spaces before the title. Try to switch editor to the “Text” mode and remove white spaces before the title.

3. You can uncheck option “Activate responsive mode” under “Theme Options – General settings” but it will also deactivate mobile narrow mode. If you want just limit width to 960px – open file css/responsive and remove lines from 1 to 870

Q1: in the portfolio page i would like to have the featured image only as the “featured image” in the front and not also appear inside the gallery. I uploaded the perfect cube for the front but it is obviously too small for the inside gallery. Q2: The thumbnails in the lightbox that opens from the gallery are very small.. can I control that? can I disable the lightbox totally?

1. since theme version 1.3.4 there is an option “Exclude featured image from post/portfolio item page galleries” added under “Theme Options – General settings”. If you theme is older, please, update.
2. there is no option to change the size of thumbnail. To disable lightbox totally you need to open file js/custom.js and comment out line 48Hi,
I have a strange issue and I’m not sure if it is just my site or maybe a bug in the theme.
When I click on an image in a gallery, the large view shows up but the number box next to the Facebook like button is blocked out by white. I cannot see how many likes there are…..

unfortunately there is no such an option in the theme. Alternative sidebars have only numbers.
How do you set all blog pages including home as lite blog. And how come there’s no side margins on windows phone, is this normal?

unfortuantely there is no option to set category pages layout as lite blog. Lite blog supposed not to be using categories.
Also – sorry for all of the commenting – I have just set the theme, and featured images are all shapes and sizes – how can they be the same?

not sure I’ve understood you clear. Have you installed the theme on the WordPress with existing content? If so, please, install plugin “Regenerate thumbnails” and regenerate thumbnails.

first of all, thank you for this amazing theme, it is very elaborate. But I have one big problem after updating wordpress, because of the horrible new media manger. I use your custom galleries, worked perfectly, but now using wordpress 3.5.1 there is no way to change the galleries. Did I overlook something, or is there a way to downgrade and use an older wordpress without losing all changes, or perhaps can I change some files and have the old media manger?

Tiles = Content Tiles within the slider (“ipad project, Le Coq Sportif 11, Beautiful WP Themes”). Not to be confused with the primary navigation buttons.
1. Can the size of the tiles be adjusted? The sizes for each tile are all uniform. I would like to have a tile that spanned x2 or x3 the width of the stock size.
2. How many tiles can be featured within the slider?
3. I noticed video can be embedded into the slider. Can html/flash, widgets, shortcodes and other comparable elements embedded into the slider? I would like to embed an interactive flash map of my country/province. Is it possible to embed a flash-based map into the slider? If not, is an html5 or javascript-based map acceptable?
4. Can the slider positioning on the home page be moved? I am curious if we could put other content below the navigation and feature the slider elsewhere on the homepage.
5. Can multiple sliders be used on any given page including the homepage?
6. Can colors be adjusted individually for each of the primary navigation buttons?

1. There is no option to set the size of the tile.
2. There is no limit for tiles.
3. I suppose you can try to use some iframe/flash based widget instead of video embed code.
4. there is no such an option in the theme.
5. no, there is only one slider with one set of tiles and it can be shown only on the front page.
6. There is no such standard option, but it can be achieved easily by adding few lines of custom CSS code.

I have tried to figure out how to get rid of the white space above the blue “biginfo pane” at top of my first two home page blocks, just below the slider.

to update the theme just upload and replace all theme files into wp-content/themes/metro/ folder via FTP. If you haven’t made any changes directly in the theme files you won’t lose anything.
