Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a "Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

How i can change Google Font of the theme?

Theme includes some popular google fonts. To use these fonts please navigate to Appearance -> Theme Options -> General Styling in your WordPress admin panel and look for the ‘Heading Font’ and  ’Body Font’  options. After changing the font, do remember to save the options.

If your required google font is not there, you will have to edit the code. For this open functions.php file located in root of theme folder. Go to line # 514, here can find the code something like this …

'Arvo, serif' => 'Arvo',

and just before this code you can add your required google font. For example if you want to add this google font: http://www.google.com/fonts#UsePlace:use/Collection:Vollkorn

You can use the code something like this …

'Vollkorn, serif' => 'Vollkorn',

So the original code will now become …

'Vollkorn, serif' => 'Vollkorn',
'Arvo, serif' => 'Arvo',

If there is enough demand for any font it would be added in theme core.

Theme font Icons are not being displayed correctly in Firefox. What to do now?

Most probably, its a server side issue. Try using following code …

<FilesMatch ".(ttf|otf|eot|woff)$">
  <IfModule mod_headers.c>
    Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*"
  </IfModule>
</FilesMatch>

You need to just copy the exact code snippet into your website’s .htaccess file. Follow the steps provided below to navigate to it.

a) Move to your web hosting.
b) Login to your cPanel.
c) Now move to File Manager.
d) Navigate to Public HTML or your WordPress installation folder.

Now use the code editor to edit the file and paste the code at the very top. Now simply save it, refresh your page, clear all caches if you are using any plugin. Also purge cache from your CDNs account.

Now reload the website and you will see that font icons are being displayed in Firefox.
