Hi, first of all, I love your two templates.
I am a bit lost in the step 3. Would you mind explaining it a bit further? There are values you don’t explain like:
Limit: Image (W x H): Layout: Position: Status: Sort Order:
I am sort of newbie to opencart and I am a bit lost.
Many thanks and I am very sorry for such a silly question.
Thank you very much, amarros.
Limit: – how many objects will be displayed. Image (W x H): – height and width of the image. Layout: – which page module is displayed. Position: – module position on the page. Status: – if the module is enabled or disabled. Sort order: – set the order in which modules are displayed.
Play with these choices. I’m sure you’ll soon understand how they work.
Note: I’ve said this before many times. If you’re new to OpenCart, I suggest that first you familiarize yourself with how to use it and what it offers. The best place to start: http://www.opencart.com and the best place where you can find good help: http://forum.opencart.com
Regards
Many thanks for your prompt and kind reply.
I have another question: how do you change the pink top bar color and the blue background?
Sorry again if you have already explained this thing. I can’t figure out how to do it.
Best regards
Hi, amarros
If you want to make color changes, edit file “stylesheet.css”. This file is located in /catalog/view/theme/elegium/stylesheet/stylesheet.css
Open this file and find:
.box .box-heading .featured {
Locate the following line:
background-color: #FF7EB7;
Change #FF7EB7 whatever you want.
Find:
.box .box-heading .latest {
Locate the following line:
background-color: #72C2F0;
Change #72C2F0 whatever you want.
You can use this link to choose the colors: http://www.quackit.com/css/css_color_codes.cfm
If you would like to edit a specific section of the site, simply find the appropriate label in the CSS file, use Firefox extension called ‘Firebug’ http://getfirebug.com to do that or Chrome/Safari inspector.
Regards
I’m sorry, I accidentally added another theme description. Temporary distraction I think.
Actually I’m planning to add color options to this theme. Then you can easily change theme background and colors. I hope it doesn’t take too long.
On your documentation I read somewhere (can’t find it now.. ) that you can do video in the welcome module. I have placed my welcome module in the bottom right corner (1 column) of my home page with a linked product image. I edited the core files to remove the welcome message and it looks good, but I wanted the picture to be like a slideshow (display several of the same product’s pictures). Is this possible? How do I do it?
Hi, carefreetees
Just use the banners and add these as much as you want.
Just a note. I changed my hosting service. The new demo site URL is: http://themetorium.net/demo/mi-mi-store/
Hi, I would like to purchase this theme but when i went to validate the homepage, it comes up with a lot of errors.
Are you aware of this? Any plans to fix these?
Thanks
Hi, ollie10123
Thank you for your interest. Can you describe more specifically what errors occur. I do not see any errors.
Regards
I’m having trouble with the currency. It is defaulting to $ even though I have £ defaulting in the admin/backend. Is there somewhere I have to set this that I’ve missed?
Hi, paulcreedy
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?t=69209Using another browser did it. Must be caching the original or something
It is possible to make the hover/cloud zoom, zoom in further/more detail?
Hi, paulcreedy
Admin panel -> “System” -> “Settings” -> “Image” tab -> Change “Product Image Popup Size”.
Regards
I would like to add a blog, any suggestions on a plug-in/extension?
Hi, dtprojects
Thank you for asking but I have not tried this extension before, therefore I can not say for sure.
Also, please read this: http://themeforest.net/item/mimi-store-opencart-premium-theme/2463177/faqs/14833

Hi, karmadjez
Open file: catalog\view\theme\mi-mi-store\stylesheet\stylesheet.css

#menu > ul > li {add this line:
Change #FF80AD to any color you want.
Find:
#menu > ul > li > a {add above it:
#menu > ul > li:last-child { border-right: none; }Regards
Hi, I understand this theme is supposed to be responsive, meaning, I assume, that it will re-arrange itself suitably for a mobile phone. However, when I run your demo, or a site developed by one of your customers, through an i-phone emulator, or similar, it doesn’t seem to re-arrange itself at all, and 80% of the page contents are off-screen, to the right. Am I misunderstanding ‘responsive’?
Hi, hegs100
Which emulator are you using? Here are several of them. Use your phone.
Regards
I tried a couple:
www.mobilephoneemulator.com, and MobiReady (ready.mobi).
These sites do not just test against a single platform, and the demo site scored very badly on MR (1.3 out of 5). I was surprised, for example, to see the screenwipe animation still there for moblie phones. The home page had an estimated download time in excess of a minute on 3G. I thought responsive sites would eliminate the bandwidth-heavy components, and generally trim things down to fit the screen display. I also tested katesjewellery.com, the only example I could find of mi-mi on the net, and it behaves very differently, having reverted to 1-column layout, and losing most graphical elements except the product images. Also, the cart didn’t seem to be working, but I’m guessing something has gone awry in the shop setup. Do you have any other working examples out there?
Hi, hegs100
Do not use emulators. They can show you whatever. If you want to test this theme or any theme, as I have already said, use the real phone.
Regards
Wow – You’re right. This theme works great for mobiles – just tried it on my daughter’s (mine being out of commission just now), and it looks great.
Can anyone point me in the right direction. I’m would like to remove the break between product options on the product page. Great theme but to much space between the product options and the price tag..
Hi, quillettes
Please contact me via my profile page and give me your site url. Also, please describe exactly what you want to change.
Regards
I am the site owner of katesjewellery.com which was created using mi-mi-store theme. The site is live and bringing orders in having only been online for a few weeks. I love the theme and especially opencart which has a vast array of great extensions and modules available. Today I added a testimonials module and an upsell module in a matter of minutes. My wife has had 13 orders and is over the moon. I test all elements of my site across IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari, using laptops, mobile devices and I am really impressed at how well it works. I thoroughly recommend OC and mi-mi-store theme.
Hi, dtprojects
Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate it. I wish you the best for your business.
Hi,
I have recently purchased your theme (Which I think is great!) but I’m having a problem with the layout. I have two questions:
1. On my homepage I have a Slideshow module as content top, then a Categories module as content left and Latest module as content bottom. My problem is in the store front the headings for Categories and Latest are not aligned side by side when they should be! The “latest” heading is to the right of the “Categories” heading but is slightly below instead of in-line. I’ve looked in the CSS but I can’t seem to fine why it is doing this, can you fix this or tell me how?
2. Secondly, on the homepage in the store front, if you inspect elements in the browser on an area there is bits in the code where it has ” ”, this is causing it to drop down slightly, leaving white space i don’t want! Can you tell what to do so when viewing in the store front it code for the page doesn’t have these quotes with space in them (” “) causing it to slightly drop down??
Thanks!
